@@wandanemer2630 That’s not true for the book, and I don’t think there’s any deeper meaning for it in the movie other than that it looks good. Elizabeth I isn’t known for beheading people any more than any other monarch back then.
Honestly, if the red queen has the mental capacity to do what she did, I don't think a one-off thing like that could have been the only reason she became a psycho murderer... there are some things that are really just down to the psychology of someone's brain. Some people are saying the white queen was the true villain. I think that they're forgetting that 1) she was a child, 2) she had no way of knowing how it would escalate, 3) people aren't responsible for other people's actions, 4) she was an indirect factor to the red queen's insanity, not a direct one.
I love Queen of hearts. She was never really an bad person nor wante bit, just broken hearted. She didnt wanted to become mean, but if it means she would be forever humilated and injustified, she would not acept, and i respect her for that.Even so, she would pay by her acts, because consequences are nothing more or less than results, sad but fair end.
would not be surprised if they knew but because they favored her younger sister they didn't say anything until it was much much too late to change things
I think he broke it on purpose honestly for all the insults. Truthfully she wasn't a nasty girl til after the accident, everyone just wanted to poke fun at her so it make sense she'd be furious, a whole kingdom laughing at you because of something you couldn't help. Terrible core childhood memories destroyed her character. The crown being taken away was what sealed it.
No, she never actually expected or hoped for an apology, but when she finally got one she realized it was enough to let go of her anger. Most people who've been wronged will understand, even if they never went to the extremes she did.
It’s giving whatever happened to baby Jane ending: “ you mean all this time we could’ve been friends?” especially when one sister could have ended the conflict if she told the truth
None of you saw the movie right??? because if you had done it you would remember that the queen of hearts ate all the tarts and left only the edges that were more like crumbs, the mother sent them both to bed without dinner, that really the only one who left without dinner was the White Queen, she only had a single tart and when the Queen of hearts karma came she couldn't stand it and made a drama, since she was little and before her accident she was already unpleasant and malicious. She never apologized for being that mean to the white queen and yet the white queen did not hold a grudge against her and refused to accept the throne that was taken from her for being extremely aggressive and sadistic, and she never paid for all the innocent lives she took and the many that she tortured.

I can feel the genuine guilt that was eating up at the White Queen's soul here. But I also understand the Red Queen's frustation, because not only was she treated unfairly and unjustly, but she was also being bullied, ridiculed even.
She wasn't treated unfairly, it was her own doing. 1. The tart accident happened when they were a kid. It may not justify her action but who didn't lie when they were little? 2. It wasn't the White queen's fault why she was stripped off of her crown, she let the hatred went to her head and became cruel. Her big head isn't the reason, it was her attitude 3. She killed people, burned villages, enslaved, imprisoned and beheaded innocent people. Imagine limping to the villain because boohoo she was framed for eating a tart so she became the villain
@shikaii9912 Oh please! You can't even tell me her story without excusing her behaviour with "she was framed when she was a kid" "White queen didn't apologise to her" "The people laughed at her". Give me a proper explanation why should I feel bad for the red queen
Everyone saying It’s the white queens fault are actually stupid. Yes the White queen framed her (the red queen) for eating the tarts as a kid and was the reason she got scolded by her mother, which led her to run away from home and get the head injury from slipping on the ice, which caused her head to swell, causing her to be bullied all her life bc of it. Especially on her coronation. Which is why she threw a fit on her coronation after the crown broke, and embarrassed her parents, and caused her father to realize she was too immature to be queen, so as a result he gave the crown to her younger sister (the white queen). But everything that came after that was the red queen’s fault and choices. The red queen (More so known as The Queen of Hearts) chose to behead innocent ppl whose only crimes were being beautiful. She hated ppl who were beautiful (like her sister.) (She had pity on ppl who had deformities and disabilities like herself) She also chose to lay waste on the villages and towns of her nearby kingdom with her pet dragon (I forgot what she called it) and she chose to feed ppl to her giant dog ball thing (which Alice like later rescues and befriends, also forgot what it was called). She chose to lock up the Hatter’s family, and almost caused the Hatter to be beheaded. She Chose to isolate herself. Nobody loves her bc she’s a horrible person. Yes the White Queen lied on her sister when she was younger, which caused a giant series of unfortunate events. But The Red Queen chose to do all those horrible things. She’s the one who went bad shit crazy and decided to go on a murder spree. None of that was the White Queen’s fault. The Red Queen, chose to murder ppl and lay waste to towns, and she wants to throw a pity party. She did nothing but do horrible things and continued to play the victim, and she wonders why nobody loves her. The White Queen grew up to be an actually good person. That’s why everyone loves her.
But if she was honest then non of it would have happened so yes while not all her fault it mostly is on the white queen and her parents. The mother for not trying to get the full story, the father for not stopping the mockery she face and the white queen for framing her and never telling the truth until years later. The red queen went after those who made fun of her and their family as a way of self justice and was incorrect in doing so. ( keep in mind that red queen was always treated differently by both adults and her peers) so all in all everybody was dead ass wrong and immature
I understand that she should have apologized sooner, but don’t say this could have been avoided if she said sorry sooner like the red queen didn’t murder innocent people and their children because of a grudge she held against her sister and because of her self consciousness over her head size. That is not the white queens fault. I get that the red queen had trauma and that she should have been loved. But her reaction to her trauma made her unlovable. The lack of self awareness and overreaction to any minor inconvenience is her fault. Murdering people is her fault. The white queen does not get to wear that burden. The king gave the crown to the white queen because the red queen reacted harshly to a snicker. Which showed immaturity and therefore was not ready to wear the crown. The white queen showed much more restraint and self control so she could wear it and not abuse it. The white queens biggest guilt, is not just admitting the truth sooner, but not being their for her sister when she could clearly see she was suffering and hurting from something that could have been avoided if she had told the truth. The only thing that could have been avoided if she told the truth is maybe her sister wouldn’t have hit her head, but even then, the red queen shouldn’t have ran away. This is a lesson in not holding grudges as well as owning up to your mistakes. Doing nothing has consequences just as over reacting has consequences. Think things through before you do them. Don’t run from your problems and don’t avoid hard conversations. Those conversations need to happen in order for healing to happen. Stand up for those you care about. Protect them, if you can. Help them through it when you can’t.
The movie was pretty good except for this. The Red Queen enslaves all of Wonderland, kills hundreds of people at the drop of a hat, and then they go and try to make her into a misunderstood victim and her White Queen the true villain all because of a childhood mistake, and the Red Queen isn't responsible for her crime's 🤦 I hate it when they want to make every single villain into a sob story and then give them a free pass for everything evil thing they've ever done
This! When she said she just wanted to be loved and here and apology and the White Queen was just falling all over herself to give it, I just wanted to be sick. The Red Queen was just making excuses, justifying everything she had done.
People in the coments saying that White Queen is the true villan make me think if they even watched the movies. Of course she did wrong and owed an apologie to her sister, but the Red Queen killed a lot of people and caused so much suffering for hundreds, like, bruh.
Then again, maps to real life in a weirdly accurate way. How many of us have known someone who established a pattern of atrocious behavior and, when called to explain themselves, had an elaborate backstory prepared that can basically be summed up as, 'none of my actions were my responsibility because other people were mean to me *first*'?
It has something to do with her head hitting the statue and from then on, whenever her blood boils this also causes (whatever it was damaged inside her head) to swell.
"Why does no one love me?" Got me sobbing it was the most hurtful thing I ever heard she must be forgiving her. Some people would joke like"you remind me of trash jk"it would sound like joke but on inside we would cry, depressed and would be hurt it would be sooo hurtful also never lie or make jokes which is really hurtful
Its technically not her fault she is the way she is, even her physical deformities and mental state. She was innocent and got harmed over a misunderstanding that led to decades of torment for everyone
I mean, she didn’t lose her spot because her head was big, seems like it was because she literally threatened everyone just for laughing and her dad prolly was thinkin “holdup” 💀
With a big head like that, what hairstyle would you have thought of? I bet she chose that specific hairstyle because it complements her abnormally large head. Any other hairstyles probably wouldn't and just made her even more a laughing stock.
I feel like the lie could've been a bit more serious and less stupid than something like stealing tarts. I appreciate it, but I just feel like it would hold more weight if it wasn't something so dumb and inconsequential that. I don't know, I'm not a writer.
Everything Tim Burton touches is gold. Anything that has both Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp touches is EPICALLY AWESOME. They are the onscreen power work couple.
It's not enough to blame the White Queen. They were children and she made a mistake. The Red Queen was not chosen to wear her father's crown because of how she acted. It had nothing to do with the size of her head. She was a narcissist. And it was painful watching her sister fall for the narcissistic lies. She didn't just want someone to love her, she was playing that up. To excuse her bad behaviors and get what she wanted.
That's why in these fairy tales I always go for the villains reason I said that because we are on the outside looking in and we never really know the truth story as to why someone turns bad because we see the one person who does too we never stop to think that they were the caused for that person become the villain
White Queen messed up and should have apologized and told the truth, at least as soon as Red had the accident, but kids do mischievously things all the time. Red Queen was a psycho anyway, so saying White was the true villain is a savage thing to say. She didn't beheaded anyone just for being annoying. Of course, most of the erratic people have been summited to abuse in the past. We all have been through childhood trauma, but that's not an excuse for being A**holes!
The reason she did what she did is because everyone I her eyes hated and bullied her and at the carnation she was humanited in front of the whole kingdom and her father was no help to the cause so if anyone looked or say something out the way it was off with your head put yourself in her shoes all she wanted was for her sister to say she did it and be loved by instead she got abused and humanited and in time if u don't get help for it u will become bitter just like her that is how psychos and killers are made
You do know she turned bitter and hateful because of the things the white queen did. The red queen was just a normal girl and because of her sister pranks she ended up getting a big head and she was bullied for it. Like not even her own parents loved her.
@@bubblesawesome3284 True but that's not the white queens fault. She shouldn't have lied and should have apologized far sooner but it's the parents who should have done something about the bullying. It's the parents who should have requested to have the crown altered so that it would fit her head.. It was the red queen who made the decision to kill all of those people and destroy their homes.
The girl had a traumatic brain injury She wasn’t evil to begin with she slammed her head into a fountain because she ran away after she was upset bc her mother didn’t believe her and she got reprimanded for doing something her sister did
I kinda agree. White was in the wrong as children, but other than never admitting the truth about the tarts she changed for the better. Red changed for the worse. I understand being furious at white, but she shouldn't have done those bad things she ended up doing as an adult
Villain centric stories are not just some funny badass power play. It teaches and gives out a strong message that many fail to notice, almost never in real life. And not even when it’s so obviously represented by works like this. Most people that you see as bad or evil people are that way because of their roots. If not for being really sick with some physiological issue, it’s the upbringing, the environment or company. Can be anything, there is always reason and possibility for a specific behavior. It’s pretty pathetic. You can empathize with any wrongdoer, pretty much anyone if you chose to listen and be in their shoes. It definitely not a direct forgive and forget everything sentence. But it is to forgive and help them get the help they need if they are willing to change or if they are in the position to do so.
The fact Helena did so good in this scene and also make wonder how perfectly she handed this role which was contrast to Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter movies. They are 2 contrasting with beautiful roles played

MOVIE NAME: Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016)
Ty for telling me!
Why do I think this movie is based on a true story that happened to Queen Mary and her sister Queen Elizabeth 1. This is because the way they dress and the color of their hair is the same.
I believe that in the story, the Red Queen's design was based originally on Queen Elizabeth, because of her... "habit" of having people beheaded.
@@wandanemer2630I thought the one thag beheaded a bunch of people was Queen Mary? Bloody Mary and all that, daughter of Queen Kathrine of Aragon.
@@wandanemer2630 That’s not true for the book, and I don’t think there’s any deeper meaning for it in the movie other than that it looks good. Elizabeth I isn’t known for beheading people any more than any other monarch back then.
What hair color are you thinking of? Mary had black hair, and neither of them dresses like Mary would have dressed.
Helena should’ve won an Oscar for this

@@Misscaitimac No im not God.
Queen of heart is very kind. She forgive her sis after she said sorry.
I know right, people would say anything just to simp for villains. I guess it's a trend to "TRY" to understand villains feelings now.

would not be surprised if they knew but because they favored her younger sister they didn't say anything until it was much much too late to change things
She is a nice friend ❤
I’ve never understood this scene. It’s just her hair being shaped like that, that’s in the way. Bro didn’t have to push so hard that it broke. 💀
That was beautiful and she had every right to feel betrayed. But all she wanted was love and be accepted.
Tittle please
Home girl got mad and had a whole villain arc over a damn cookie
Lying is a deeper stain then just bearing the burden of what you did.

This moment... this movie, teaches us one thing. "A stitch in time save a dozen" one truth can make big difference.
It’s giving whatever happened to baby Jane ending: “ you mean all this time we could’ve been friends?” especially when one sister could have ended the conflict if she told the truth
That's a good comparison.

"Why does no one love me?"
That hit so close to home. I ask that almost everyday. And I have no one to answer.
Her big head isn't the reason, it was her attitude
3. She killed people, burned villages, enslaved, imprisoned and beheaded innocent people.
Imagine limping to the villain because boohoo she was framed for eating a tart so she became the villain
@@ericelestineyorfrylle1525 Lol just say that you don't understand her story, it's easy

@@ericelestineyorfrylle1525 I don't even know you lol, stay mad over a movie I guess
@@shikaii9912 See! You just changed the topic cause you can't defend your red queen
This is the saddest story😢
She hated ppl who were beautiful (like her sister.) (She had pity on ppl who had deformities and disabilities like herself)
She also chose to lay waste on the villages and towns of her nearby kingdom with her pet dragon (I forgot what she called it) and she chose to feed ppl to her giant dog ball thing (which Alice like later rescues and befriends, also forgot what it was called).
I honestly love their Sister friendship 😭 The Red Queen was never bad which made things more sad
"Why does no one love me?"
I don't know, maybe because you kill people on a whim. Wild guess.
Is it a mistake? It's no mistake when you lie and steal someone's inheritance and live a lie for years. That's psychopathic manipulation.
The red queen obeyed her mother , ofc it broke her heart when the mother scolded her for something she didn't do.
She got so mad she turned big brain😅
It has something to do with her head hitting the statue and from then on, whenever her blood boils this also causes (whatever it was damaged inside her head) to swell.

Okay but why is her hair like that she could change it 😭
With a big head like that, what hairstyle would you have thought of? I bet she chose that specific hairstyle because it complements her abnormally large head. Any other hairstyles probably wouldn't and just made her even more a laughing stock.
She is the red queen/queen of hearts, so she or the maids probably wanted her hair to look like a heart.
I cried in the end😢😢😢
Loved this movie since I was a little girl always will love this movie 🥀
That's why in these fairy tales I always go for the villains reason I said that because we are on the outside looking in and we never really know the truth story as to why someone turns bad because we see the one person who does too we never stop to think that they were the caused for that person become the villain
I teared up
Gosh I’m so sensitive
White Queen messed up and should have apologized and told the truth, at least as soon as Red had the accident, but kids do mischievously things all the time. Red Queen was a psycho anyway, so saying White was the true villain is a savage thing to say. She didn't beheaded anyone just for being annoying. Of course, most of the erratic people have been summited to abuse in the past. We all have been through childhood trauma, but that's not an excuse for being A**holes!
The reason she did what she did is because everyone I her eyes hated and bullied her and at the carnation she was humanited in front of the whole kingdom and her father was no help to the cause so if anyone looked or say something out the way it was off with your head put yourself in her shoes all she wanted was for her sister to say she did it and be loved by instead she got abused and humanited and in time if u don't get help for it u will become bitter just like her that is how psychos and killers are made
@robertafrancis8104 yes. The same as all those mass shooters in USA's schools...

If she wouldn't hit own head by Fontaine then wouldn't get evil, yes.
