- This is Selena's last interview with Puro Tejano and ever alive, this was filmed 3-18-95 in San Antonio. As you can tell her demeanor has changed from the March 2, 95 interview the day after the Grammy's to her last interview, it's so sad that the last interview we see from her, she's not the Selena that we all come to love. RIP.

It taught me to recognize the signs of mental health. Also, it taught me that a CEO shouldn’t be chasing an employee like 4 times for some legal documents.
You should already know that. But in truth it tells you to listen to others and look at people for who they really are. If someone is nasty to other people then they can be nasty and rude to you. She didn't care about what other people said. So many women and men date people who have been very cruel to others thinking they are different. It's no different here. People voiced their concerns to her and they were ignored.

You can literally tell that she was holding it together just to get through that day. In every interview she is usually bubbly and cheerful and in this one, she seems so down and stressed. It’s also eerie that she arrived dressed in all black; literally days away from meeting a terrible fate.

@@mxrodriguez22 I don’t know why that’s your assumption. If you watched the Selena series on Netflix, they revealed that Selena was on a form of birth control, which stops women from having their periods. She wanted to have it removed in order to start planning a family with her husband.

I notice that too, she seemed annoyed and bothered.
Obviously, no one knows when they'll die but people do start acting differently when death is near. You know the ending of the Selena movie, where she's wearing a white dress and singing on stage, Selena did actually have a dream that she was on stage and someone threw her a flower and she never caught it. Some people act differently and others have dreams .

Patricia Carrasco this was after the march 9th meeting they had with the ex employee so by this time she was already fed up I'm not gonna agree with that part with what you said but by this time Selena had enough and unfourtenly this was 13 days before that happened.
This video completely breaks my heart. When you watch her in other videos with Rock n Roll James, she's cracking up laughing the entire time and joking around with him--she's her normal, happy self. To see her appearing like this...so uncomfortable and clearly stressed out...it's so upsetting. Rest in peace beautiful girl.
Watching this 20 years later I can't believe it's been this long. It's sad to see her demeanor because Selena wore her heart on her sleeve and she was upbeat and happy and so for her to be like this and her arms folded is showing that she didn't want to be there because she had other things on her mind. Selena NEVER folded her hands in an interview, maybe in a few posed pictures but not in interviews. Her body language was always opened because that's what she was an open person. It's just sad that in 13 days she would leave this Earth running for her life, and it's sad that 13b days from now we will be thinking of what could've been 20 years later.

Selena performed all the time, had rehearsals, had interviews, studied Spanish to get even better, learned and recorded songs, ran multiple boutiques, travelled via bus or plane, designed ALL her costumes and did some of the sewing herself, made appearances, spent time with her husband and family, gave her time to different causes, did volunteer work, tried to hang out with friends, and so much more while trying to find time to eat, sleep, and potty. And you fools think this woman was never tired?? And God forbid she shows it, you think she predicted her own death or she was stressed out. No! Selena was a person just like us. She was a star, and stars have to smile and be upbeat even when they don't feel like it. Selena was a fun and loving person, but you guys are treating her like she wasn't entitled to be a person. A person who cried, a person who was exhausted, a person who didn't wanna be bothered sometimes. Step in her shoes for a day and tell me you wouldn't be tired as hell. An interviewer asked Selena what was the hardest part about being Selena. She responded, "Trying to not appear tired when I am tired". She was naturally upbeat, but she was also an image who had to be perfect all the time when the cameras were rolling.

Oh my god, you took the words right out of my mouth 👏👏👏. People forget that Selena was a woman and a real person and just because she was constantly in the spotlight all the time that didn't exclude her from being human. I can't help but marvel at the energy Selena had and I think of how easily tired I get throughout the day some times and I'll take naps during the middle of the day. I bet Selena didn't have that luxury with her crazy schedule. And it also annoys me how people on here keep saying how Selena knew her time on earth was coming to an end. I don't think that's true and I don't believe anyone knows the time or day or hour they will die. I think that the reason Selena is acting completely different in this video is because the whole money embezzlement and missing paperwork and having to fire Yolanda was weighing heavily on her mind along with all her million other priorities.

Selena's Dad said it in an interview.He also said the day before she and Chris told the family she was going to stop taking birth control and start a family.She had lunch with her Mom at Olive Garden, she saw her sister and brother the day before that she recorded her last song (29th)Chris said in the book, she cuddled up under him. I think he left the part of them being intimate. It was in Como La Flor book approved by the family and it says her and Chris made love the night before.
So selena wasn't a virgin, I'm so glad not trying to get sexual but I'm glad they had experience something beautiful because they were in love and I'm so glad she was here for 23 years but I wish it was more!!

I noticed that too! I saw that terribly sad picture of her purse laying in the parking lot. I can’t get over how tragic this whole situation was and it breaks my heart whenever I think about her and what could’ve been.
I sometimes wonder if Selena had a cell phone in her purse why didn't she use that to call 911?But then again she was probably terrified out of her mind she probably wasn't thinking straight and afraid Yolanda might come after her again.

I just really think she was TIRED and a little stressed. She even said in an interview at her boutique that the hardest part is pretending that you're ok when you're tired but you have to smile and say you're fine.
She was more than a little stressed. She found out she lost tens of thousands of dollars and her designer just quit because of Yolanda. Plus, she just found out Yolanda had a gun. Notice 1:21. I don't think she knew what was going to happen to her, but was at the time, dealing with things with Yolanda and knew what she was doing. So she seems like she has alot on her mind and she seems sad, but I don't think she knew what was going to happen to her.
The parents didn't call the police on Yolanda to get the documents. It seems dangerous to have a celebrity visit a fired employee who has been stealing $30,000.00, and other employees complaining about behavior. Selena family doesn't know who to run a safe business.

The true one thing we do know is she was OUR Angel here on earth for the short period of time we had her. She left us her videos and the wonderful happy memories of her life that came with them as well as her beautiful presence and images in them. Last and most important of all, she left us her beautiful and wonderful gift of SONG/MUSIC and VOICE!! No one can top Selena's voice, looks and the gift of music she was blessed by God with!

After seeing these comments personally I feel like Selena's mind was on Yolanda. Now before some of y'all say "Well maybe Selena was having a bad day, or she was hungry, or tried, or maybe her mind was on the boutiques, it's not like you knew her personally." Probably, but neither have y'all. Maybe that was it, but at the same time she was always bubbly and full of life in her interviews. Now I'm not saying Selena couldn't be human or show emotions. I'm just saying this interview seemed off. I guess it's because I'm sensitive to different types of energy. We can agree to disagree, but I rest my case.
You could see & almost feel the stress that YS was causing her. At 1:22, she drops her gaze & she seems preoccupied -- she also didn't really know the name of the function she was there for either, which is definitely not like her at all. We all now know why, but she tried her best to hide it, but with hindsight always being 20/20, it was having an effect on her right here, it seems to me. 😢Bless her beautiful soul, though. My heart breaks for her, knowing now what was going to happen in just 13 days from this. 💔 But, she's still a role model for the role models of today, & that's a fact. She's the epitome of beautiful; inside & out.. & a timeless icon! 💜

Selena was very busy the last few months of her life; she was recording and promoting at the same time, and she still had her business obligations, which at this point involved problems with Yolanda. Her demeanor was definitely different, she was tired, and distracted, but she had been sick with bronchitis in the weeks prior to this, so she was def not feeling 100 percent either.

No one really knows the whole story, but what I do know is that we need to do everything we can to make sure Yolanda is locked up for the rest of her days, and pay for what she did! No one will ever get over the fact that we lost her forever!
It’s so devastating to think that she had only 12 more days to live while doing this interview. Watching these old clips just makes you feel like you can save her. Or at least that’s how I feel. Seriously, it’s 2018.. Why hasn’t anyone figured out how to build a time machine? I would save Selena in a heartbeat. Her death is still so depressing because it just feels like it could have been avoided and because she was so young. She had so much more to accomplish. And she was robbed of that because of Yolanda’s fatally obsessed ass. Yolanda’s reason for killing her wasn’t even that fucking serious. Selena just wanted her tax documents.. Why couldn’t she just have given them to her and let her go about her day? Man this is frustrating!

I've heard that as well. Aaliyah had a dream that she was flying and she felt at peace in the dream. It's a quote, I can't remember word for word, but then she left us. Same with Left Eye and Biggie Smalls, he said he woke up sweating that he would be killed in a drive by, the same with Princess Diana she had dreams too. And MJ all of them are gone now :-/ Looking at her here and looking at the videos of Puro Tejano in the past major difference.

Nanii Danay I don't think so. Just my opinion but a few days prior to this interview she, her father, and Suzie had confronted Yolanda about the stealing and missing documents. So that's probably why she was acting this way.

This three minute video really f me up especially when you know what she was going through and what would come a few weeks later. You know when Selena died I wonder what were Rock N Roll James's thoughts on her death and about the whole Yolanda situation and how Selena's legacy still has an impact 22 years later. Plus he did countless interviews with her where they looked like they were always having fun.
Ana Johnson I read somewhere where he left the radio station shortly after but he has a FB page. They say he was very upset over Selena's death. U know, he was a great supporter of hers. Nobody knows when tragedy will strike, it just does sometimes without any warning or anything. Then we're left with what could've been.

I want to point out that the song "Dreaming of You" was recorded on March 24, 1995 in Tennessee. So at this point she hadn't sung the song yet. I believe it was her last recording.

Some of these comments are ridiculous. No one knows when they are going to die. She was probably just burned out and tired from all that was on her plate. I do agree she looked exhausted and not "on" but give her a break!. She was human. hi, well there is an interview where a reporter from furia musical asks her if she was ever afraid of something. she replied she was having a recurring dream that terrified her but she didnt want to talk about it. Even though the reporter tried to know about it she refused to talked about that dream. I think maybe thats why in the movie she goes to sleep then dreams about singing and the white rose falling, then her death scene :(
Exactly! Selena got tired just like all of us. She had her on and off moments like all of us. It's exhausting to have to keep up the high energy, constant smiles and laughing ALL THE TIME. She even said in an interview in her boutique that one of the most tiring things is having to pretend she's not tired.

I've seen almost every interview that Selena had with this guy, Rock n Roll James, and in ALL of them there was constant smiles and laughter. Just really friendly, positive, vibes. Selena and this guy seemed to have become decent friends, with him coming to interview her and her family so often. In this interview though, her last, she seems a bit down. Obviously she was very busy with work and her other responsibilities, but this interview was also during the time that Selena was dealing with the betral and constant stress that Yolanda was putting her and her family through. I don't think James was privy to this though, hence him trying to crack jokes with Selena the way he always would. Unbeknownst to her and everyone else, she didn't have very much time left.

@@RoyaleKHypolite Yes, this interview took place on the 18th of March, and the meeting that Abraham, Selena, and Suzette had with Yolanda where they confronted her with the evidence they had against her was on the 9th. 4 days before this interview took place, on the 14th, Selena met with Yolanda and told her that she could remain in charge of her business affairs in Mexico. Selena only said this so that it would be easier to get her bank statements from Yolanda, but it's likely that doing so saved her life, at least for a few more weeks anyway, since Yolanda likely planned on killing Selena that day and would have done so had Selena not given her that reassurance. After they had that conversation, Yolanda showed Selena the taurus model 85 snub-nosed .38-caliber revolver that she would eventually kill her with, and Selena told her to get rid of it. The reason she seems off in this interview is because her mind was probably elsewhere, thinking about Yolanda and how to deal with her and the financial turmoil she'd caused. She was also definitely devastated to learn that someone she'd trusted had betrayed her in such a way. Selena was a very busy and (more than likely) very stressed woman her last month or so here on earth, and it shows in her last interview.
I heard that she had a dream about what was to happen. I wonder if that's why she spent so much time with her family the last few days before her death? Anna Nicole had a dream before she died, that's why she kept telling her nanny to keep her daughter safe, if anything happens to her. I also think she died of a broken heart and that's why she refused to get help when people urged her to go the hospital.

You always hear people close say they had some horrible feeling when someone they love is hurt or passes. Out intuition never lies. Listen to your gut. And my grandpa is like a tarot card reader ,you can say, and he knows how to decipher the messages. There are ways to prevent each situation from happening. I am not really that good at explaining 😬

Knowing this was after the Yolanda thing came out. Makes me think on how Selena was behind the camera. Chris said that when Selena was full on stressed that she would break down and cry at random times. scares me to think how she was the last month of her life.
Life is a gift. Selena will always be a bright, shining star who loved her fans. She had a kind, trusting & generous heart. That horrible monster stole Selena's gift of life.
What a different world today could have been for all. She was like a butterfly effect , the bright shining star which could blind all of our social, racial, and political differences & prejudices. (She did it in Tejana music and did it with the Mexicans in Mexico.) The World would of resolve many culture, racial, and politics issues we have today.
