+Katherine Arlena You will never hear Selenas family, sister, husband, father, news, autobiography, or even the movie say she was 24 when she passed just because it was 2 weeks away from her bday... So TECHNICALLY she wasnt.
Katherine Arlena If you think it isn't a big deal, then why even comment on it? Regardless, however, they said she passed away at 23, and even though it was 2 weeks away from her bday, or even 2 days.. they still should have said she was 23. Its more professional.

osimeon00 I think because we are so close to Texas and plus there is a huge Mexican American population in California so that may have brought her fan base over. Plus yes, she did concerts here and I grew up watching videos and listening to her casette tapes. I had EVERY Selena cassette tape you could imagine. Selena was a HUGE presence in my household.

Selena's music is DEFINATELY timeless. The music she made in the 90's would not sound "dated" at all now. In fact, it's much better than the artistically-empty, sex-obsessed manure that's being put out by the so-called "artists" out there today, who love their fans' money more than the fans themselves, and lack any real semblence of artistic integrity. In terms of talent, class, and the genuine affection that Selena had for her fans, they'll never even approach being on the same level.
So true! I don't understand half the words in her songs but voice and rhythm always captivated me. I sang along mimicking what she'd say and not know what she was saying. My favorite is Como La Flor! Also, let's not forget that Suzette was one of the best girl drummers I've ever heard play.
Oh as hard as that is too believe there were people that didn't like her which is mind blowing what is there not to like about a beautiful Mexican American that sang danced had the personality of an angel
Being hispanic I always grew up listening to her music and lord knows I have seen the movie about 100 times. lol. I I'm so glad though that she continues to be remembered. I will be listening to her music all day today :) RIP Selena. ❤️
As much as I love and adore Selena, I wish they would do interviews about the other people involved in Selena's life. Music is universal. I don't have to understand the lyrics. I listen to all types of music and I love it. Never knew what Selena was saying in the movie but it was awesome stuff.
I just watched the movie with my 12 year old daughter. We have both seen it numerous times. We watch it every few months or so, and I always sing all the words to her Spanish songs. I had just told my daughter "Ah! i just love these songs. I know every word! I don't know what I'm saying....... But I know the words!" Lol. And her English songs were some of my favorite songs of all time! My daughter is a huge fan, too. She definitely still continues to be adored generation after generation! *#SelenaLivesOnInUs* *#RIPSelena*
Selena was such a light in this world with a beautiful infectious spirit. She was the original fly girl of my generation with her timeless fashionable style, soothing vocals, and on her way to becoming a prominent business woman. She has influenced my life tremendously though I am not of Latin descent; her music is on heavy rotation in my life. I loved hearing how Selena has influenced the ladies of The Real, even Loni was excited! So thrilled that The Real is honoring her today. I love Suzette too; she has always been gorgeous and gracious like her sister! Selena’s spirit is still here in her music, if you can, take some time out today and listen to her music or watch her videos, there’s a great catalog of remembrances on YT.
Sigh Selena was such a huge part of my childhood.. My mom's latina and always played Selena's music. I fell in love with her music at a very young age and still listen to her music to this day. RIP Selena.. And I wish nothing but the absolute best for her family.
I'm an anglo male, 65 now, in Virginia. Back when Selena was around I was not even aware of her. Wish I was aware of her back then. I missed something special.
When I was way younger I was a huge Selena fan. I remember crying for days, maybe weeks after her death. I couldn't even hear her name without sobbing. I was a good 8 years old. I remember after her passing my parents bought me the doll..I wish I still had it though.
I was a fan before she was killed. I was looking forward to an English album. Her voice is what caught my attention, even though I didn't know what the hell she was saying, but I could feel it. I still remember where I was and what I was doing when the news broke. I cried so hard. It still saddens me when I think about it or watch the movie. What a timeless talent.
When I watched Selena at the age of 5 or 6 she changed my whole life I felt like I am a Mexican that's proud I can do anything. To this day I think about her. She inspired to become the person that you really are you don't have to act as if you someone your not you don't have to look white to get a husband , you don't have to be African American to look beautiful (no racism at all) but she thought me that I'm a Mexican and you could be amazing no matter what, whenever, whoever. Without her I wouldn't be who I am. Thanks Selena 😌
Wow it's amazing how much she's remembered I knew about her when I first saw the movie Selena when I was 5 she was an inspiration to me growing up! I've always been a fan of her even now I listen to her often!! She's an unforgettable phenomenal woman that will always inspire so many even generations later!! Love you SELENA!!
before beyonce, katy perry, miley, nicki minaj. there was a humble rising superstar named selena. you can see talented people in show business but you rarely see a talented person with the whole package. selena had the "it" factor.
Hat Sheshupt Selena started her singing career with her siblings at the age of 13. They were traveling from one city to the next in that bus. I didn't say mainstream because she was killed before she even released the english album.
Malarial Carey started before Selena and the other stars you listed Mariah with (which was disrespectful considering her legacy). Mariah first came in to the industry in 1983, she started recording and making commercials and in 1986 her first album came out but Brenda K Starr used her voice to her name.
Wow, Suzette looks gorgeous!! Even when she was heavy, I thought she was attractive. I bet Selena would have aged like fine wine, just like her sister. The older you get, the younger you look! Bless the Quintanilla family!
This poor family must definitely still feel so broken after even all this time past. Not easy to heal when Selena still lives on every day through the media. God bless them all!!😢
nikki wikkidoodle Same here. It's like her life was cut short all because she was so trusting and forgiving. But that's who she was and that's one of the many reasons we all love her so much....R.I.P Selena
BABY! When that woman killed Selena, my Hispanic girlfriends were all fired up. There wasn't a dry eye in sight when I Could Fall in Love and Dreaming of You came on. Still get a little teary eyed. I don't know much of her music, but I know one thing, that girl could sing. She had some range on her. She was a great role model.
I am BEYOND excited for la fiesta de la flor, road tripping with my best friend for about 13 hours to go and have a weekend to remember, thanks so much for finally doing something like this for fans Suzette and everyone else who funded/organized this!
Wow she looks just like Selena and it's crazy how it's been 20 years. Selena was everything, beautiful inside & out. She was definitely gone too soon. RIP Selena
I know enough about selena as a musician...they should've asked suzette about selena as a sister, a daughter etc. what things they did together, what she remembers most about her baby sis, how she felt when she died, how does she feel now, ask how's the family etc. come on man I could've done a better job
💟Selena inspired me to start singing. im in chorus and sing all her songs everyday. I remember as a baby sitting in my crib going to sleep listening to her songs, with her soft, soothing voice. I miss you. my idol. you and Aaliyah. r.i.p and please say hi to my grandpa and aunt in heaven for me. I have a long life to live so I won't be in heaven anytime soon. but when I am I will immediately visit you and Aaliyah. love you Selena. bye. god bless you, your family and Chris... best wishes, amen.💟
Every time I watch the movie it still brings tears to my eyes at the end! You can tell how sweet and genuine her sister was just from how J.Lo portrayed it!!
She was amazing and just the best!!! She is so very still missed by us all!!! Rest in peace!!! We miss you!!! My wife especially was so touched by her!!! God bless her family and friends God bless you all. Thank you for the music!!!!! From Buena Park CA USA
Susie, I know. LOL. I was not expecting Suzette to say ya'll. I really loved Selena and cannot believe she has been gone for so long. I think of all the things she could have done and it makes me sad.

Selena will never be forgotten. She was so beautiful inside and out. And her legacy goes on touching hearts.♡ her music brings positive effects that makes us feel so much more than there is. Your "Smile" was very contagious, and thats a good thing...we miss you 😘
Selena is such an amazing biopic. Unlike how they did Aaliyah. I felt they focused on Selena's actual story, & not making just money...cough, Wendy. I always tear up or can't watch the end of the movie.
I have to admit i didnt know not one lick of spanish in my entire black woman life until i started listening to selenas music! I love selena and all her music! Now i walk around singing in spanish because of the musical impact selena has left us with! Alot of us black women has learned the spanish language through selena's wonderful music! Comur la flor is my favorite song by selena
My heart drops everytime I hear or think about Selena, its just too much. How can she just die and leave us like that, it's like God are you 4real; but let your will be one father, let your will be one. (You know how you get angry at God sometimes LOL)!
Absolutely!!! That's exactly how I feel. Every time I hear her name and music I get so sad all over again because her life ended way too soon and my heart drops and I feel grief all over again. I will never forget the day she died and Aalliyah died so very sad! They were such beautiful souls. May they both Rest In Sweet Peace 💕💖
Spicy Creole Lady a aliyah was a sad death! But it was nothing like Selena for me! It was the way it happened for Selena! The way she was murdered! I could have took her death a lot better if she died like aaliyah! But the way Selena was murdered was so sad! I just can't let that go!
Dave Williams So very true I hate those kinds of death where a kind hearted soul gets taken advantage of just for being nice and she had that snake a crazy deranged woman in her side took her life was just so meaningless. Just talking about this makes me sick to my stomach and I wanna cry everytime I talk about it or hear her name. She didn't deserve that. What puzzles me is no one talks to get husband and asks how is he dealing with her being gone. I wonder if he is still living. May her beautiful soul rest in the sweet arms of Jesus in Heaven.
Spicy Creole Lady I cry sometimes watching her videos! Selena was so sweet you could tell! That woman who murdered her really needs to burn in hell! And she seems like she has no remorse! That's what gets me!
The fact that she's almost 50 blows my mind, like wow

That's how you KNOW her music was good. We could hardly understand what she's saying and still LOVED to listen.
Exactly, I love her song bidi bidi boom boom, even though I have no clue what she's saying.
Keisha Charmaine Yeah her music was jamming. Fotos Y Recuerdos is one of my favorites.
bidi bidi bom bom was the sound her heart made whenever she saw her crush. very cute lyrics

Sigh Selena was such a huge part of my childhood.. My mom's latina and always played Selena's music. I fell in love with her music at a very young age and still listen to her music to this day. RIP Selena.. And I wish nothing but the absolute best for her family.
She's 47! wow! She looks 30
blaq2handle true
She 50 now
blaq2handle She looks great! I loved Selena!!!!
I am from corpus Christi TX n I am proud to have selena from my city she is amazing n she inspires me to become a singer
I haven't stop tearing each song of Selena's. I love her personality
Selena was such a beautiful person and she will be missed dearly but her music will never die RIP #SELENA
Aryan Ar I don't think Miley belongs with those artist. bitch is on crack
No,As much as I adore Selena, Mariah shouldn't be on that list, She was around at Selena's time and is a legend, her voice, music, song writing.
Mariah came out in 89. So I'm lost when you said Selena was before her mainstream wise because she wasnt
I'm so happy Adrianne did this for Selena. We miss you Selena!!
I never got the chance to even live at the same time as her but from what it seems she was a beautiful woman love seeing pictures of her
Selena’s music is so timeless. I remember being in the store shopping and it came on the radio❣️ So beautiful and peaceful. Such a beautiful voice.
Wow, Suzette looks gorgeous!! Even when she was heavy, I thought she was attractive. I bet Selena would have aged like fine wine, just like her sister. The older you get, the younger you look! Bless the Quintanilla family!
STANDING OVATION FOR SELENA!!!!!!!! THE FIRST TIME IN THAT SHOW!!!!!!! #GOSBLESSYOURSOULSELENA
I am so happy that they were able to get Suzette on the show...I will never forget Selena and the impact she's made in my life.

I went to middle school in a Mexican American community in Texas and I will never forget when she passed.
I just loved how everybody stood and showed love in the very beginning!!😢
I miss selena and i love how people love her for just she is
I truly love and miss Selena. i grew up in Midland Texas and traveled to Corpus Christi often. i cry every time when i see that movie.
R.I.P SELENA IM 10 YEARS OLD AND I LOVE HER MUSIC
This poor family must definitely still feel so broken after even all this time past. Not easy to heal when Selena still lives on every day through the media. God bless them all!!😢
Selena will be remembered forever and her music will never die
When I saw the promo for this on Friday I LITERALLY busted out in tears from excitement lol Selena is my IDOL! I'm so happy they did this 🌹
Omg, I still get emotional when I hear about Selena.
Me too it's so sad. I swear I cry every time I watch one of her performances.
nikki wikkidoodle Same here. It's like her life was cut short all because she was so trusting and forgiving. But that's who she was and that's one of the many reasons we all love her so much....R.I.P Selena
she looks so much like her !
0:24 she smiles exactly like her sister 💜💜💜
Selena is somewhere eating Susie's chips 😇 my Tejano, saw me standing alone. Hola señorita
I love watching Selena. It was on the cable the other day. I just had to watch it again.
I don't speak Spanish but I love her music and the feel of her songs
Wow she looks just like Selena and it's crazy how it's been 20 years. Selena was everything, beautiful inside & out. She was definitely gone too soon. RIP Selena
I know enough about selena as a musician...they should've asked suzette about selena as a sister, a daughter etc. what things they did together, what she remembers most about her baby sis, how she felt when she died, how does she feel now, ask how's the family etc. come on man I could've done a better job
Right the interview would've been way better!
Leia Richardson z
The monsters name who took your life is irrelevant. Selena your name will never be forgotten and forever loved. Thank you Selena. We love you. Always.
Esa maldita de Yolanda
Damn she looks exactly like Selena..
Antonio Pérez well they're sisters
all sisters don't look alike baby
Summer Rose but that’s not ALL sisters. plus some of the people you mentioned are twins
@Summer Rose soooooo that encompasses the scope of all sisters 😂
Not really no
💟Selena inspired me to start singing. im in chorus and sing all her songs everyday.
Suzette is so beautiful!
Selena got me threw my harsh teen years. I loved her to death. Ty Selena
😘

My 4 year old daughter loves selena. Always asks me to out the movie on. I'm so happy hear people are keeping her memory alive.
I love that Suzette says You'all
Texas Slang
Y'all have a nice day :-)
+BrightBlueTW ......
Susie, I know. LOL. I was not expecting Suzette to say ya'll. I really loved Selena and cannot believe she has been gone for so long. I think of all the things she could have done and it makes me sad.
robinbrl I know right I think wow she probably would've had children & you know they would've been so gorgeous. Young Beautiful Talented young lady gone way too soon. I also think she would've gotten into acting.
I loved the Selena movie growing up. I would love hearing her music and watching JLo dance and act like her. Now, I find myself every now and then looking at Selena videos and performances on RUclips. RIP Selena Q. ❤️❤️❤️
i hate when i get all happy listening to touching memories of selena and the videos done and that Yolanda thing pops up ughhhhhhhhhhhh just gets me mad all over again
Selena taught me Spanish through her music, I learned it because i fell in love with it and her songs ❤❤
I love her song Bidibidi Bom Bom (the heart beating). It reminds me of my childhood
I love Selena so much, literally tearing up watching this

Selena will never be forgotten.
She was so beautiful inside and out. And her legacy goes on touching hearts.♡ her music brings positive effects that makes us feel so much more than there is. Your "Smile" was very contagious, and thats a good thing...we miss you 😘
I cried just by watching this it always hits home for me talking about Selena
Everyone is Adrienne's "Idol."
She has such an annoying voice. I can't stand hearing her. 🙄
@@jaguar4120 SHE'S SO OVER DRAMATIC ANNOYING BITCH!
I was waiting for someone to say it 😝
Not really her only idols were Selena and J-Lo, maybe some other latin stars. Maybe Ricky Martin as well
@@jaguar4120 oop
Selena is such an amazing biopic. Unlike how they did Aaliyah. I felt they focused on Selena's actual story, & not making just money...cough, Wendy. I always tear up or can't watch the end of the movie.
I have to admit i didnt know not one lick of spanish in my entire black woman life until i started listening to selenas music! I love selena and all her music! Now i walk around singing in spanish because of the musical impact selena has left us with! Alot of us black women has learned the spanish language through selena's wonderful music! Comur la flor is my favorite song by selena
+Something Nice So well said, I'm elated that you love Selena, she was awesome in every way!
I am ten years old and I am obsessed with her . I will always love you Selena Quintanilla no matter what happens
I'm just mad @ Yolanda for taking advantage of Selena's kindness.
