- In the second part of the miniseries 30 safety features of Shark airplane, we will introduce another 12 features that make it one of the safest airplanes in its category.
What happens with EFIS when the airplane loses its main electrical power? What features of the airplane prevent issues such as carburetor icing or vapor lock? What is the autotrim feature?

I really like the simple but effective solution of preheating the carburettor to provide anti icing protection. Great solution!

One element of safety is simplicity.
Therefore, I do not understand why the passenger is not positioned at CG.
The necessity to move around a 6kg dead weight constitutes a design flaw that should be corrected.

@@sharkairplane As said, with the passenger positioned at CG, it would make no difference to the CG if the seat is occupied or not.
@@tubevization But the weight of the pilot, so far in front of CG, would be a limiting factor
@@Fastwolf666 That's correct. However, my impression is that the pilot is situated much closer to CG then the passenger - it should be the other way round as the pilot seat is always occupied. I suspect that the 6kg dead weight in the aft is placed there mainly for convenience and not really needed when flying in single mode to stay within the CG envelope. Whereas it is mandatory to place the weight under the cowling when taking a passenger. It would be interesting to see the actual calculation.
He mentioned a 110kg passenger in the rear. That's a 240lb passenger! Moving that little amount of weight for CG is nothing. That is awesome and still be under gross!
Why is the insurance so high ? I was planning to buy a 2 year old shark, a gota quote OF $12000 a year, which it was a deal breaker
We hope that with the introduction of MOSAIC the situation in the insurance market will improve. Currently it depends a lot on the brokers. We suggest talking to our US representatives.
