I mean, here’s the thing during the pandemic. There was such a need for help that the government did just have to give out money to anybody who said help me. When a person said, I don’t have any money. I can’t pay my rent. I can’t feed my kids the government had to say here’s the money to help you because so many people needed help at that time we didn’t even have enough workers in a local unemployment office to truly check and validate all claims. Look at how PPP went at the federal level. They didn’t have enough people there to evaluate claims properly. This was under the trump administration. Joe Biden had to extend the time of prosecution 10 years to make sure they could go back and track down cheaters and frauds.
While I understand, fraud occurred this is one of the few instances I wouldn’t blame government for not catching it because there was such a need for help. They didn’t have the resources to assess helping people. Think about it like this unemployment workers couldn’t go into the office to meet people , you had to meet people online or over the phone. I know my mother called unemployment for days and could not get through. When she finally did, the unemployment worker was working from home her children were in the house and she had to care for her mother. She literally had to tell my mother. Can you give me a moment while I feed the kids and my mom and my mother understood what she was going through she had to do the same thing for her grandparents. Even the people who were tasked with sniffing out fraud, couldn’t do so properly because they were caught up in the pandemic.
Like I said, it’s one of the few instances where I can understand government not catching every instance of fraud and guess what it happened in red states and blue states

If the Republican party nominated an actual Republican to lead the party, I might be looking at them favorably and with interest at this point, but because its Trump, I have to look past Walz's shortcomings and vote Harris.

I live in Minneapolis so have followed the Feeding our Children Scandal. While more probably could've been done during COVID there was a lot of fraud and lack of accountability at all levels of government so Minnesota is not alone in this. The state though did step in and is prosecuting those involved.

Harris/Biden is more about finger pointing and blaming vs fixing plus more debt. Covid divided the nation and that division continues thru making everything political and turning on one another. Entitlement also reared its head paying people to stay home with inflationary QE, PPP loans, etc. Democrats still want to throw taxpayer money out there. Free money is the worst kind of inflation.
Are you part of the 1%? If so, tax cuts for you. For those that aren't, the rest of us pays for these cuts. Tariffs will outpace inflation much like it did when Trump enacted his trade wars with the world. You didn't feel it because you were still doing well under the inherited Obama years. COVID wasn't the initial raising of prices of everyday goods.
Also, if you make less than $400k, any tax increases by Harris/Walz will not affect you. Those PPP loan forgiveness and "handouts", the two Trump sent out were godsends, from I remember from every conservative. They were all Trump admin policies. And you know what, Americans needed them. Inflation and price gouging came about during the Trump term.
Biden's Inflation Reduction Act actually reduced inflation, who knew!? The stock market is at highs, pay is up, unemployment is down, and a recession is not in sight. Try to use your full memory and not what the liar in Chief tries to distort your reality.
