This made me feel even better about wanting one. All my friends have phones that are bent or scratched heavily. I've always been cautious but the extra security is nice.
I have this phone I work for T-Mobile had S7 edge, note 7, v20, v10, and other "flagships" and for what I use this phone blows them all in water specially if you are music lover the front firing speakers and the build in DAC will amaze you plus it's stock Android I got mine open box for 250 never had issues with overheating or anything compared to LG and Samsung's, stop paying for brands people and get what you deserve for way less
kumar patel Seriously?! That's awesome! I was going to get a Nokia 6, but I think the Axon 7 and I can be an even better fit. Though price is a huge thing since I work at a movie theater and get paid bi-weekly. My last pay check was about 300 so yeah ...
Oneplus 3 has more ram, better camera, slightly faster charging and slightly better battery life despite the smaller battery. Also, rooting without losing warranty is a bonus. Axon 7 has better speakers, higher resolution display and micro-SD slot though, so for someone who values those more it is a better buy I suppose. Both phones are amazing for the price.
+PhazonBlaxor the ram advantage on the one plus 3 isn't really noticeable because of their aggressive ram management. The camera on the one plus 3 isnt leaps and bounds better. The superior audio experience and sharper and brighter display definitely put it over the top...not to mention a two year warranty and vr headset and case you get with it.
+Jason Booth Yes, those things put it over the top, for you. Everyone has their own preferences. I bought Oneplus 3 knowing full well about the Axon 7. RAM managment on Oneplus 3 has been fixed for some time now. I like to play Pokemon competively and when I design new teams I usually end up with +20 tabs pretty fast. I love having tons of RAM so I can keep stuff open and ready for me when I need them again, this goes for tabs and of course apps. Even on PC 16GB of RAM is barely enough for me, I just don't like closing and loading stuff again, especially the things I keep using throughout the day (and yes, PC is different, just wanted to mention it). While 1440p display is nice, I just don't see any point in having one on my phone personally. I don't use VR and the extra details are not very visible on 5.5 inch screen, unless I look very close. I have 1440p screen on my tablet and it obviously shows more detail, but it's nothing mind blowing. I rather get some extra battery life and better performance on certain games with 1080p display. So yeah, we all have our own preferences. :)
Watch the teardown here: watch?v=s1uFZHSWU4c However, I wish Jerry could do another one teardown from original retailer, either the 2017U or 2017G model. This is because when the teardown is being made, the battery label is showing 3140 mAh (instead of the 3250 mAh as advertised)
Still using axon 7 in 2019, after 2.5 years still going strong. Replaced the battery myself after 2 years, which took only 15 minutes. Still have original screen with no cracks and only a few scratches. Buttons, cameras, fingerprint sensor all still work fine. Very durable phone.
towards HTC One m9 yes. HTC 10, not so much. The bend test from HTC10 shows it is by far the most durable among all smart phones. Still, Axon 7 is a great phone.. and I'm glad I'm working for ZTE. =D
After watching this i can safely say that my axon 7 will last a long time. I'm intending to keep this phone for three years before I even think about upgrading. Glad the fingerprint sensor is quite resilient.
I want to upgrade to a Google Pixel 2, but I think I'm going to wait til next year so I can buy a Sony Xperia XZ1. I'm going to wait so the price can come down. That is unless ZTE releases their successor to the axon 7
JerryRig I have a suggestion. A visual recap at the end of each video as the information is really useful. Something like this... Hardness level: 6 -Will resist keys and coins Camera lens: Glass -Will resist scratches Finger print scanner: Will function (or not) after minor damage. Noteworthy mention: Phone has plastic bezels that scratch at level 3. Be cautious. Overall score: ... It could be placed at the end of your videos as they close out.
I currently have a ZTE Axon Pro 64gb. The first of the Axon lineup. I paid about $180 for it a year ago and I've beat this phone to death, it refuses to give up. Sometimes it freezes or has issues charging, but that's from the cheap charging cables i buy and also overheating the phone from having so many apps open, charging the phone, using mobile hotspot and using the phone at the same time. This axon 7 will be my next phone purchase. ZTE is an amazing brand.
Almost 3 years later and this phone still beats a huge majority of phones on the market in many ways. I paid just under $200 for this phone like new 6 months ago. Best smartphone purchase I've ever made!
Hey guys, I realize this is a bit of an old vid, but I wanted to comment on Jerry's bend test. We see him pushing w/his hands, but there are no metrics as to the amount of pressure he's actually applying. I've been searching for a phone, and after finding compatible stats, and checking the durability against this channel, I picked up the Axon 7. I have to say that it is an EXTREMELY sturdy phone. From having the phone in my hand and personally testing it, I can honestly say that Zack (who clearly spells his name incorrectly), puts some serious strain on the phone. I obviously did not want to break or even bend my phone, but I put some stress on it, and found that I had to push pretty hard before I even thought about stopping, and it was no where NEAR what Zack showcased here. tl;dr, his bend tests are legit!!
I like how you mention HTC M9 in almost every new video. I'm a fan of HTC, so I believe mistakes should be seriously criticized so that manufacturers won't repeat them.
Keep up the great work. Also, i dont know how got this channel but subbed because your testing carries weight when deciding on a phone. Again, keep up the great work. I try to watch your uploads when i get a notification.
I'm not too concerned about bend tests, since they represent extreme situations. However, I think the scratch tests are something everyone should worry about, particularly the camera lenses. I'll definitely check out your videos as part of my decision making process. Keep it up sir!
hay my name is Nicholas and I have a prob see my iPhone 6 plus touchscreen will not respond iv been told its the pins as in the pins you would connect the screen too when you replace the screen is the problem will you pleas do a video on how to replace them it would be awesome if you did
I did quite a bit of comparing and looking into the ZTE Axon 7 (L Noxv) specs prior to purchasing it. It's the first smartphone I've ever owned. Yes, I've been surviving on dinosaur/flip/feature phones all this time, mostly out of a lack of desire to upgrade. I'm glad to see my purchase will likely still stand up to daily abuse, which I hadn't really looked into too deeply. The durability plus the 2 year warranty and the cheaper price when compared to other phones in the L Noxv's range make me all the more satisfied with the phone.
I really like the Way you handle the scratch Tests and i'd be happy To See a scratch Test with a tempered Glass Protector for a phone like the 1+3. Keep your Great work going an greetings from Germany :)
Had my ZTE for a little over two years battery started dropping like mad so I bought a new battery and I'm pretty happy because the phone over all your love it and you'd already bought the beautiful case and all the plugs to switch to a new phone would be goofy so with the $20 investment and doing the battery replacement myself very happy although I will say it's a very hairy job as far as making the connections right cuz if you don't get it right you're going to bend the things and mess up your phone
Hey are you going to do a test on the Galaxy Note 7? I heard it has Gorilla Glass 5 and would like to see how it compares to different phones. Also, your videos are awesome.
This phone is pretty awesome. I have had it for like a week already. I upgraded from the M9 and this phone is an improvement in every way. Better, bigger, brighter amoled screen, fingerprint sensor, better camera, battery life WAY better, more durable, and the front facing speakers on this phone are ridiculous. They say the HTC 10's speakers aren't as good as the M9's, well I put this ZTE next to my M9 and it blows it out of the water. It's not even close. This phone has the best speakers out there. And for the price, you really can't touch anything built like this with this many features without spending 200-300 dollars more. ZTE did a great job with this device.
Since you are testing xiaomi and zte it would be awesome if you try a vernee, is a "new brand" that sells budget phones with good specifications and apparently a really good support on the software. Knowing the quality of construction could help many potential costomers.
I was planning on getting the oneplus 3 but the lack of an sd slot was kind of sacrifice that made me cringe a bit. I come to find out about the axon 7 and the sd card/ 2nd sim slot and I couldn't be happier. at about the same price point and the added bonus of a bigger battery, higher resolution screen and front facing speakrs (which I hear are actually quite good quality) I think the L noxv is the best buy for me lol

Well, just read a comment of a guy who bought this phone, 30 seconds passed, he tried to putting it into the pocket, missed, it fell on the ground and bye-bye screen.. So drop tests are really useful.
+JerryRigEverything Hey, the flash is dual tone. Some makers put dual tone flashes that are farther apart in tone than others. These two are not that far apart in tone. Some single flashes, Samsung flagships for example, are warmer than the usual single flash
i used to have a ZTE Blade Spark. I'm not technology professional so it would be cool if u could review and test that phone so i could see if it was a good phone
For 400 bucks the L Noxv is pretty darn impressive lol
+Seanerzat the L Noxv is definitly a solid value
lol, its "Axon 7"
It is much better than the OnePlus 3.
+StivinOst TheMiner123 No, it is the L Noxv.
+Arkham Knight not sure if in performance, but the support gives the axon 7 too many extra points over the op3
This made me feel even better about wanting one. All my friends have phones that are bent or scratched heavily. I've always been cautious but the extra security is nice.

ZTE is putting alot of the competition to shame... This is a better buy than the one plus 3.
Come to think of it this is a better buy than most flagships. The value is tremendous for the price. This is less compromised than a flagship device.

+PhazonBlaxor but people have been reporting similar sots between both devices.
can't wait to see the teardown of this phone
Me too
+1
Christian Alboroto I wish
Watch the teardown here: watch?v=s1uFZHSWU4c

where did you buy the battery ?
Glad I found this channel.Your'e the only one i trust with these tests.
+Bleach Thanks Bleach!
I agree... its the one stop shop for durability of smartphones for me... no other channel needed
I bet you burn alot of your toughest stains
+Jason Booth Lol
i bet you tastes great
Yes, im still use my axon7 on november 2018 This is pure comfortable. Luxurious
lol this is a htc killer.... ZTE just killed HTC
it's 5.5" with no unlockable bootloader though
At this point, they're just beating a corpse...
towards HTC One m9 yes. HTC 10, not so much. The bend test from HTC10 shows it is by far the most durable among all smart phones. Still, Axon 7 is a great phone.. and I'm glad I'm working for ZTE. =D
Ethan Liew Tjun Git lol s6 edge plus or note 5 are the strongest phones... m10 is not
+Ethan Liew Tjun Git I still can't find which metal they're using.
*I Love This Phone.* Still kicking Butt to this day.
After watching this i can safely say that my axon 7 will last a long time. I'm intending to keep this phone for three years before I even think about upgrading. Glad the fingerprint sensor is quite resilient.
Omega Dan Is it still working well?
My axon 7 only gets like 3 hours of screen on time :(
Vcvc16 Battery on stock rom can be inconsistent at times, sometimes I barely make it to 4 hours SOT, and sometimes I get over 5 hours SOT.
I want to upgrade to a Google Pixel 2, but I think I'm going to wait til next year so I can buy a Sony Xperia XZ1. I'm going to wait so the price can come down. That is unless ZTE releases their successor to the axon 7

I love how your videos are becoming more sarcastic sounding. Your videos are great. Please don't stop

I bought this phone on launch. It served me fantastically for over 3 years. Great screen and even better speakers.
nice video... I think this wat the first useful "destroy your phone video" I've ever seen... you just earned my subscription... I'm impressed!
+Matt Mayden Nice! Thanks for watching. And subscribing!
+JerryRigEverything In the last 30 minutes I have watched a few more great videos from you. Thank You
+JerryRigEverything also just subbed! Great and practical video!
Man it really makes me sad to watch you destroy that new brand ZTE 7... :D
Shivam Maharshi same
Shivam Maharshi he dose it with every brand new flagships😑😑😑😑
Almost 3 years later and this phone still beats a huge majority of phones on the market in many ways. I paid just under $200 for this phone like new 6 months ago. Best smartphone purchase I've ever made!
Best phone this year! Budget, battery, screen, AUDIO, specs.... It's 450$ now I think... Thanks for the video
This phone may have just killed most of these 2016 top flagships, price inclusive. Oh man
most of its features are premium, i was quite skeptic about the bend test though Jerry.
Zack, His name is Zack.
Roger's the name. It's Roger.
Yup thanks
one plus 3 is better
i already pre ordered this phone. this video made me more confident in my puchase, thanks so much for testing the L NOXV
Well done Jerry, well done Axon. I was waiting for that video to pull the trigger.
I'd say the L Noxv compares pretty well to the ThreePlus 1
Phew i thought somebody was gonaa get wooshed guess not
WTF did the Axon 7 recovered from the burn test even if it had an AMOLED panel?!
*L Noxv
RUclips app think it can load a 1440p video when my internett speed is only 2.7mbps. Haha
I wish my internet speed was half as good as yours.
Mine is 10 mbps hahahha lol
mine is like 0.05 Mbps on good days and 20 Kbps on normal days :(
+shubham saxena mine is 200mpbs lol..
150 mbps coming in
Every video from you is a blessing
Wow i'm so happy it survived, Thank you for testing this phone,
I loved my Axon 7. This seems to have been the last flagship phone one could buy for $300.
Hey guys, I realize this is a bit of an old vid, but I wanted to comment on Jerry's bend test. We see him pushing w/his hands, but there are no metrics as to the amount of pressure he's actually applying.

tl;dr, his bend tests are legit!!
He told that Nexus 6P is so bad that it is equal to 3 spoons bending at once. No wonder Zack is so strong.
Thats good to know. I'd prefer my phones don't bend in my pocket.

I'd have to say, when it comes to smartphones you and Erica Griffin are the best reviewers on RUclips.
Come on, Zack, test ZTE Nubia Z11! It's gorgeous, aluminum and thinner. Really interesting how it'll hold up.
Thanks! I asked for this last video and you delivered. Keep up the good work.
That's a very well built device, nice one ZTE.
I'm here because I'm your #1 fan.
Sorry lady.... Still #2. Mom is #1.
hay my name is Nicholas and I have a prob see my iPhone 6 plus touchscreen will not respond iv been told its the pins as in the pins you would connect the screen too when you replace the screen is the problem will you pleas do a video on how to replace them it would be awesome if you did
Cool... I'm hooked on watching you test these phones... interesting.
3 years on, my Oreo updated Axon 7 is doing just fine.
I did quite a bit of comparing and looking into the ZTE Axon 7 (L Noxv) specs prior to purchasing it. It's the first smartphone I've ever owned. I'm excited to receive this phone as a gift... yeah baby... this is still a good phone in 2018...
Another brilliantly made video. Top stuff!
I have one of these phones and i do have to say it's bloody amazing! Best i've ever owned that's for sure.
I think this is one of the best budget phones of 2016 and I really liked the design of this phone
just got this phone for christmas, it kicks ass!
I really like the Way you handle the scratch Tests and i'd be happy To See a scratch Test with a tempered Glass Protector for a phone like the 1+3. Keep your Great work going an greetings from Germany :)
again, you are really really smart!!
and the voice is President quality!
respect from India!
OMG! I can't believe you did all if that to that amazing device!! (but thanks for doing it for us) :)

Was waiting for this video for a long time, and caught it at 15 minutes ago
He passed every test! Holy shit this is amazing!
The most durable phone I've ever owned. Nice job ZTE!
Bad battery life than ever, dies fast😞😞😞
I love your work man, absolutely love it, keep it up!
for its price, this is a killer phone. +1subbed as i'm currently looking for a new android phone and this channel is quite the help :D
Drop test? If so you would be the only one on youtube that has one!
Great video Zack!
You should also make a camera test if you find the time.
Hey are you going to do a test on the Galaxy Note 7? I heard it has Gorilla Glass 5 and would like to see how it compares to different phones. Also, your videos are awesome.
The Axon 7 appears to be an impressive phone. I may buy one to use as a backup for my HTC 10.
Jerry..YOU ARE AN ANIMAL! Love your videos, and this one tells me I want an Axon7.
Nice durability test with the L noxv!!
This phone is pretty awesome. I have had it for like a week already. I upgraded from the M9 and this phone is an improvement in every way. Is camera really better than htc m9?
Yes this phone is like an M9 on steroids. It takes every aspect of the phone and improves all of them.
Enjoy your vids, hope to see a tear down on the 7
Since you are testing xiaomi and zte it would be awesome if you try a vernee, is a "new brand" that sells budget phones with good specifications and apparently a really good support on the software. Knowing the quality of construction could help many potential costomers.
can you do a durability test on Sony Xperia Z3 ? some change from new phone to old ones haha
yes please
Yeah he should do old phones sometimes like the One M8, GS5, Note 4 etc.
or z3 + i'm quite curious
Need to wear gloves though with that glass lol
Sony xperia z3 best phone ever :) The problem was his cost
I was planning on getting the oneplus 3 but the lack of an sd slot was kind of sacrifice that made me cringe a bit. I come to find out about the axon 7 and the sd card/ 2nd sim slot and I couldn't be happier. at about the same price point and the added bonus of a bigger battery, higher resolution screen and front facing speakrs (which I hear are actually quite good quality) I think the L noxv is the best buy for me lol
your the man. that phone looks like a winner.
Love these tests of yours ....do you distinguish between glass and sapphire protected lenses?
My takeaway from your video is the revelation of the plastic speaker grills - thx!
You are awesome man. Keep it up!
I vote for adding drop tests to the list! It's the most common abuse a phone can take , would be awesome to see what type of body protects the screen the most.
L Noxv looks pretty solid tho
Well, just read a comment of a guy who bought this phone, 30 seconds passed, he tried to putting it into the pocket, missed, it fell on the ground and bye-bye screen.. So drop tests are really useful.
Haha L NoxV... Nice intro. I enjoy your videos jack. Keep em coming.
this is techrax father lol he disguises his phone destruction with the word durability test
+Donovan Hall You found me!
+JerryRigEverything lol thumbs up if you want me to drop a bomb on this phone and not yours lol
Was waiting for this..
Awesom test now i know what phone to get. Thanks!😊
You should create the JRE durability scale, and offer to test electronics for all the manufacturers.
If you can get a hold of an Alcatel Idol 4. Would love to see how resilient is. GJ btw, love the channel
great vid as always!
+JerryRigEverything Hey, the flash is dual tone. Some makers put dual tone flashes that are farther apart in tone than others. These two are not that far apart in tone. Some single flashes, Samsung flagships for example, are warmer than the usual single flash
finally
plz do a tear down test too
please make a durability test with a motorola moto z force! excellent video buddy!
note that it doesn't bend when you bend it face side, that's because of the special zte non bendable back cover.
awesome!!!!
Man you killed so much Phones
I like you :D
Great video Jerry
always been curious, what do u usually do with ur phones after testing them?
Great phone when it works. Got one last May having an issue sending it back because of the battery and them not providing the lithium ion sticker.
Will you do a Camera test video on this phone? I'd love to watch that.
thanks for the video. would have appreciated a little more time comparing it's metal scratch durability to others phones
Who is here from his latest vid on ZTE
còn j khác không ông anh? suốt ngày cái kịch bản này, xem nhàm lắm ạ! Vietnamese!
Best Durability test ever
Your videos are hilarious and my girlfriend left me to find a man like you
very nice test bro, thanks
I like how both the Axon 7 and Oneplus 3 have such great builds for a good price. Wonder how Honor 8 fairs.
I am hoping you can get that redmi pro as soon as it is available and kill it . Coz im into it right now lol . Anway nice videos , subscribed XD
Thanks again for a nice video 👍 Then we wait the Alcatel idol 4s and Asus Zenfone Deluxe and the IPhone 7 😊
Hi, I really love your durability tests
could you pleaseeee make one on ZUK Z2
I know its not a flagship
but please
Hey Jerry, quick suggestion, how about if the phone survives the bend test or before, you also do a water test? Thanks
L Noxv has just become one of my most favorite phones! lol
i used to have a ZTE Blade Spark. I'm not technology professional so it would be cool if u could review and test that phone so i could see if it was a good phone
every single of your videos make me cringe, im 25...this is tech torture for me...love it.
Very useful video, thanks
