Welcome to MO lol these are our flow trails rocks and tree roots . Alot of our XC trails are tree roots and rocks not a lot of our trails are smooth all the way through . Out by Springfield MO there building another down hill park called howler mountain should check that one out to it opens this spring .
Awesome to see the local trails on the channel! Glad you said even the green trail was aggressive, I've seen it send a good handful to the ER. Shepherd has the gnarliest stuff closest to STL, can't wait for the race in May!
Awesome video! Thanks for coming to the park and highlighting Ironton and Arcadia Valley Outdoors. The amount of great stuff that has happened in the Valley since the park opened (less than a year ago!) is eye-popping, as is the amount of great stuff on the drawing board. Hope to see you back again soon.
MTB is really getting better in MO, I live closer in and ride Castlewood, Cliff Cave, Chubb Trail etc. I'm starting a nice DH/Long travel/ Freeride build with Shepherd in mind. The best thing about MO is you hit the trail, and ride what comes at you, no Whistler smooth super groomed flowy trails. Trail choice here really separates the skill level quickly!!! All hail the gnar!!!
Excellent. and Thanks for the insight to camping & bike shops in the area. I RV tour, and mtn bike, well over half the year, and this kind of info, and LINKS, make the trip well rounded and worth the drive. Personally I tour other states, but if I find a good excuse to head out that way, then I'll be all over this spot!
That green is gnarlier than some blues I've ridden in in Colorado/Utah and "blacks" I've ridden in flatter mid-west states. Seriously considering heading there this Friday - but not sure my current bike is up for it! LOL
Been biking in Idaho all summer on a hardtail. Headed back to stl this fall, do I really need to worry about a full face helmet/full sus? Doesn’t look any crazier than everything else out there
I have a question regarding your bike selection: You started with the Levo and switch to the Rail. Why? Did you ride so much that you needed more battery? Did you think that (maybe) the Rail would be a better choice on the more difficult trails? p.s. that is the way I love my Greens. Rather than "G" rated , that Green looked more like a "PG" or even a "PG-13" .. Yes, yes, before they had green blue black and double black ratings, we used to use Movie ratings to rate trails... We had G, PG, PG-13, "R" and "hard R" ratings. XXX rating was reserved for = crazy bramble with hike-a-bike... the kind of ride you would never let your wife know about, but she would notice the scratches on your back Yeah, a mostly true story.
I switched because we're always testing bikes and wanting to compare different suspension platforms on different types of terrain so we can best educate ourselves for the long term reviews we conduct. Riding a bike just a few times on one type of terrain does a disservice to our viewers who are potentially spending 4-5 figures on a bike!
@@KlintonSilvey We really do have a large amount of parks lol. Just got into this hobby and we have howler mountain and shepherd hill as our most aggressive parks imo then dozens of other smaller ones.
Fuck yeah, glad to finally see a big channel come out and shine light on what Missouri mtb has to offer

Come on up. I'll show you around

Love our techy Missouri trails. Thanks for swinging through MO to show everyone!!!

Our pleasure! And we hope they'll invite us back for a much longer stop and show off even more.
great video, love this place, can't wait to see the additions they make to it
Can you ride e mtb out there
@@staystoned6100 hell yea you can, ebikes are only banned in missionary only communities
@@MoOutdoorsandReviews sweet its only like 30 mins away from me
yea this place is made to self shuttle on an ebike, but I have also seen people ride the shuttle with ebikes
I got really scared when you said blind riding lol. I was like, "not on Cannonball!"
Haha. Yeah we had a few surprises
Looks like a lot of fun for sure. After that ride, might want to snug up all the nuts and bolts due to the odd rock here and there 😀
Please keep this content coming. I am not at a stage in my life where I get to go on meany adventures. Watching this allows me to live through you.
Looks like a great Mt Bike park! Too bad its so far away from Cali! Good job keepin the rubber side down!
Thanks 👍
idk but this commentary while riding has me cracking up so hard! Love it
Love Shepherd, such a sick place to survive 🤟🏻🤙🏼
Holler bike park opens in May near branson MO. It is going to be really nice. MO is steeping up the MTB game.
Thanks for sharing the GNAR! Cool place!
This kind of riding looks so much like the Frederick Watershed, actually crazy how similar it is
When you come back Coolio's Climb is a blast on an ebike.
I wish we could have rode with you! That would have made OneMTBs day! Hope you enjoyed it as much as we do!
Absolutely and we look forward to going back one day. Hopefully we'll catch you then.
awesome!!!! keep up your great video!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Stoked to see where MO is at now and where it's going. Definitely gonna have to make a few more stops next time we are in that area. Gnar is king!
This is one of the places I commented about you guys checking out on your recent KC ride video.

Awesome to hear and glad it helped. We definitely wouldn't have made Missouri a must-stop state in the past, but this spot is rad.
@@TheLoamWolf there’s also howler park now along with steelville mountain bike park in between.
Cool video - thanks 🤙🏼🤘🏼
Thanks for riding along!
So dope

Just take some extra tires! haha

Can you ride mid motor e bike out there?

People sleeping on shepherd!
that green is more like a blue lol
We like to say it's more of a teal 😁 the sign for it actually has some little blue squares inside of the green circle
Looks like a sick little trail system. I'd definitely ride there! But that's the Ugly Sweater of mtb jerseys 🤣
I'm shocked at what I see from MO trails! Who knew!?!
WTF is rattling so much on that bike???
Nobody did until about 2 1/2 years ago! But now we've got the gnarliest stuff in the Midwest!
