Well I hope you like this video! Tried to do something different with this series and give more history and backstory to some cool riding spots. Also, we did a Steelville bike park video about two or three months ago if you wanna check that video out. Cool spot
That bridge with the light rail on it is Eads Bridge and is super old. I’m always impressed by it when I visit STL. Also death by chronic diarrhea sounds like a terrible way to go. 😵
Stl is a cool city. I need to spend more time there. It's not even that horribly far away. We actually had an idea to film another episode there so who knows, maybe I'll be back soon
That's the plan! They have that cool kids play museum I wanna take them too. Also really wanted to hit that church skatepark for this video but fortunately that got burned down a couple months before we made it 😢
@@acebikemedia No we will still have that, but basically everyone wants to make a line that bypasses all of that flat, super chunk, zero momentum section that really just isn't very fun. We will keep everything as it is through the waterfall section. But then it will merge back into the merge that is already there so you get the jump line. But man your near-death experience off the cannon was so scary 😅
That's a good idea. That flat section really isn't the best for all the reasons you said. I feel like it was more manageable a few years ago, or maybe I got slower and less ballsy lol. But yea that was a scary crash. super thankful I rode that out!
@@acebikemedia nah man, it's not just you. When it was first built there was a lot more dirt between the rocks and it was a lot easier to brake/turn/carry momentum. The erosion in that section has basically made it impossible to carry any momentum around the 90 degree left that really starts it off. There is a straightline into it if you know about it, but the original trail in that section is much, much more difficult than it was in 2021. Great lesson in balance and technical riding, though! The problem is if you're racing it by the time you get there. Most people have terrible arm pump and are gasping for air and that makes a big difference.
I love that park. I totally guessed that you were in Missouri on that short, then it led to me watching this video!

Such a great episode! Really great job on this one. And, WOW, is there some chunk there!
Thanks for watching Johnny. Yea this place is wild. It's white knuckle every trail you hit
Always excited when one of these drop. An excellent job again!
Thanks man! These are so tricky for me to make so that means a lot!
Also the humvee is such a cool experience lol
Great video 👍
Thanks! Appreciate it. I got a new episode coming out in the next few days!

If you bring the kiddos, definitely go to the City Museum. So much fun there.

Great job! Information is always very cool!
Thanks man! Appreciate it. The info was dense in this one
Stellar video…!
Thank you! That means a lot!
Great work man! So informative! Had no idea of the history we were in!
Thanks for watching man. Good riding with you
Wow that was a scary close call with the tree. Thank God indeed 🙏
Yea I feel pretty lucky. Definitely didn't expect to ride that one out
I think we are gonna do a major re-route on lower Cannonball this fall
The jump line section?
