I've had this mattress for my dog, Rebel for quite a while. I was inspired by Mike from Modern Builds to upgrade Rebel's bed in a clean, modern way.

This was my first time using brass rods and I can definitely improve on my technique, but it was cool to work with new materials.
The wood for the project consisted of a pine 2x2 and some scrap select pine 1x8's. I wanted to originally use dowels to assemble the frame but decided to go with pocket holes because I thought they'd offer more strength in this application. I used Minwax Natural Chestnut Wiping Stain and Minwax One-Coat Poly to finish the piece.
Rebel loves it and now he can finally look cool while he snoozes in bed!

For sure, although I was able to get a hold of it a few weeks ago, I just checked and his plans can still be downloaded at no cost. I just happened to go'ogle Woody Hyezmar's Woodworking Bible and got it before he decided to sell it or something lol, have a good one!
