Congratulations! My father just retired from a company after 42 years. From his experience, I know it feels like shutting a door in your life and can sometimes be scary not having that responsibility anymore. Prayers for the best retirement for you! And Ms. Jennifer, it’s somewhat a retirement for you also…obviously you’ve done an amazing job raising children, keeping a home for your family and being the suport for your husband. I’ve been watching you for about a year or so and have never taken the time to comment. It’s always been so deeply apparent how strong your marriage and love is for one another. This video in particular displays that even more so than ever before! You both are setting such a fantastic example of how a couple should admire and respect their spouse. It brought me to tears seeing how you look at each other. Being married almost 22 years at 42 years old, so basically half my life, in my eyes you two are the “cream of the crop” of married couples!! I lost my father a year ago. You remind me of him so much. He, like you, was a man of his word & he spent 60 years taking care of not only our mother but of all 4 of his children & onto grandchildren. I miss him desperately. I wish I had thought to thank him for taking care of all of us. Such a simple thing to say that's really so profound. Enjoy your retirement years together! You've more than earned it. ❤

I, too, was layed off in 2010 after the 2008 economic crisis and never found another job...I was over qualified and almost 55 yrs old. I'm so happy you were able to find another position! I lost everything I'd worked for so many years...and I know many others who suffered the same...you are blessed! Just try to remember to give Jennifer space while adjusting to a new routine...loved the sweet tears at the end!

Your going to enjoy being retired. My Husband retired 3yrs. ago. We moved 1800 miles (Las Vegas-Mo.) back to my hometown. We bought a house and a golf cart, so every evening we go on our date night to talk and see how many deer we can spot.He did 20yrs. In the USAF and 25 yrs. at the County Fire Dept. in Nv. We enjoy every day we each other and you and Chad will do also. You have such great kids and enjoy your new adventures in life.🦌🛺

I challenge anyone to watch this video, particularly the end, and not cry!! I am the same age as Chad, so I can relate to the retirement part of this video. All I ever really wanted in my life was to marry and have children. The children part has been my biggest success, but the marriage part never worked out for me. I watch the two of you together, and I think THAT. That is what I wanted, so badly. I was thinking to myself, “I wonder if they really know how exceptionally blessed they are to have each other”, and I knew the answer before I finished the thought: YES. You clearly know how blessed you are to have each other. May the Lord continue to bless you both in this new chapter of your lives, and I pray you have the time of your lives as you continue on this journey you began when Chad promised Jennifer’s father that he would take good care of her for all of their lives.
