Brock, they are located a few miles from were I live. Their facility is a massive size building. The Corriher family had been in the tractor business for years in downtown Newton, NC. I bought a tractor from them about 15 years ago. They do have legal problems and I hope they can resolve it.

Me too. My father worked for Ted's uncle in Lincolnton for over 25 years. Charles opened Corriher Implement in Newton after he returned from the war in the 40's. They had the Newton and Lincolnton dealerships with Charles's brother Ted running it. That's where little Ted got his name.

I bought a 72” wicked grapple for my 4720 about 8 years ago, the thing has been flawless, no issues, it got damaged in shipping when I purchased it and EA sent me new hoses and fittings, missing tooth, and also discounted my grapple cause the tack welded tooth wasn’t fully welded, I fixed it myself, customer service was excellent
Hopefully they can get their issues fixed and get back to making quality products

These small businesses that have a rapid expansion and cannot fulfill orders in a reasonable time should stop taking orders until they catch up. But they are afraid to turn down an order because that customer might not come back when product is available again.

I am one of those customers 😒. I ordered the Wicked 84 Inch Heavy Duty Offset & Angle Landscape Rake with hydraulic angle, offset, and tail wheel. Paid upfront like many before and after me. It ended up spending more money on another manufacturer to settle for something that I really didn’t want. Hopefully they do somehow make it through, and fulfill orders that have been placed.

I have always found that even though you might think it is the hardest thing to do it reality it is the easiest thing.....Admit your failure, your mistake, your shortcoming and it is much easier to work toward a resolution and move forward. Staying silent or ignoring what happened will eat at your mind and body if you have a conscience. You are correct Brock; a vast majority of people will forgive you if you simply admit something was your doing or unavoidable. Great video Brock!! You're a good man Charlie Brown.

Brock, thank you for speaking to this situation with EA. I was surprised by the video. I purchased and received a 6 ft cutter from them last year; yep, it took about 4-5 months to come in. Cutter is built tough but it doesn’t cut good because of not having suction blades. But we will make do. As I’ve mentioned, I’m a retired tractor dealer, just a small one. I learned years ago to just tell the truth and say I’m sorry to my customer, usually face to face, when I made a mistake. For years, we ordered up to $40K of equipment for our customers with no more than a signature on a sales order. They paid when their new equipment was picked up or delivered. Only at the last of our tenure, did we begin taking small deposits on orders as the value of someone’s signature began to fade in our society. My speculation is that the creditors of EA have decided to let them continue in business as the best yielding method for the creditors to get paid in full. I suspect those creditors will have some of their own professionals on site this time. Appreciate what you do!

I hope they can come back. I bought a grapple a few years ago and really wanted to buy an original style Wicked from EA with the long bottom for my John Deere 1023e. I just couldn't get comfortable with the idea of paying full price up front and waiting 4-6 months to get the product. I guess with my background as a commercial loan officer that underwrites businesses credit applications for a living, there was something telling me that this model of pay now, receive the product months later was very likely indicitave of extreme cash flow constraints on their part. I agree with you Brock, it appears they grew much too quickly than they could financially stand. I hope they can reorganize and be honest with their loyal customer base.

I know the subject of EA can really polarize some people, but I agree wholeheartedly about facing forward. The biggest mystery to me in all of this was the complete lack of any forthright communication from them. Maybe their current litigations demand their silence, but I think even a little communication would have gone a long way...certainly couldn't be worse than the radio silence up until now. At the end of the day, they are an American company that builds great products (some of which I own), and their current situation leaves a lot of good folks out of work, and some customers on the hook for big dollars and justifiably angry. I hope they get back on their feet, learn whatever can be learned, fill the orders and move forward. The whole episode is just sad all around...

I really wanted a grapple from EA, but looks like I'll have to go to my 2nd choice - Homestead 'Pinnacle', unless I hear of some other recommendations; that I would certainly welcome. I have to disagree here. I do however hate the fact that a prominent tractor attachment company went out of business. We need more and better attachments available and at an affordable and reasonable price structure. Personally, I had terrible interaction with them and their fan boys of the brand. They were always downgrading any other brand of attachments, they were very arrogant and left a distaste in my mouth so to speak. I really, really wanted to buy a grapple from them last year, but I cannot, will not, shall not support a company that has terrible business practices when it comes to talking bad about other companies and saying buy from them only or you buy junk.
