sauvage is maybe the world's most hated fragrance but the reason for that is its also the world's most worn and loved fragrance. if 100 million people wear it there will be just as many people that hate it. But if no one wears a certain frag it may get 0 hate but also 0 lovers but it still = no hate

I'll preface this by saying I'm not a huge fan of Sauvage and never have/ever will own any of the range. That said if a frag is mass appealing and it's loved by millions then that doesn't mean it's overhyped, it just means that the masses enjoy it and Just because you don't like it doesn't make it overhyped.
I'll throw in another controversial one as well, I'm no fan of Creed either but again, just because I don't like it and millions do doesn't mean it's overhyped, it just means I have a different opinion of it which is ok from both sides....

Agreed. The scents are some of the best Alberto Morillas has produced (imo) but the prices are outrageous. However, if you’ve been following Jeremy’s channel since his sane days, you’ll know that he throws out crazy discount codes and has stated that his subscribers need not pay the full retail price. Even if you don’t follow Jeremy, a fragrance enthusiast will know where to look for codes for discounts. I bought Office, Date and Black Tie as a bundle for $275. The 100ml bottle of Office came out to be less than $60.

Years ago Kouros would have been my most hated, I despised it. Now I'm older, I kinda like it.
I don't really have any hated male fragrances, certainly none of the top 10 here, although I've never tested Secretions so I can't really say there. The remaining 9 I don't dislike.
I cannot stand Giorgio Beverly Hills, Anais Anais, Poison or Opium. Luckily I don't smell them often on the ladies anymore.
If I had to pick a top 5 for men, these wouldn't be fragrances I hate, just ones I don't particularly like.
    1. Amalfi Di Mandarino.
    2. Aventus.
    3. Bleu De Chanel.
    4. Issey Miyake EDI.
    5. Acqua Di Gio.
I don't really dislike any of them, I just don't gravitate towards citrussy fragrances at all, and those 5 are the ones I smell on others most often. All much of a muchness for my nose. Fresh, inoffensive, clean, wearable by almost everyone, just not my style at all. I would wear all 5 so I clearly don't hate them, I just wouldn't buy any of them again. I prefer woody/spicy fragrances over the fougeres. Each to his own though, we're lucky to have so much choice nowadays, back in my teens there were very few, everyone wore Joop, Cool Water, Versace Blue Jeans, Fahrenheit, Aramis or Eternity. You'd be very, very lucky to smell anything else half decent. Then when CK One came out, everyone had it on, male and female. That may be where my apathy towards citrus scents actually began.

The only thing you can complain about Jeremy's product is the price. It's unreasonably expensive. Apart from that, any further complaints are just because the product is his rather the fragrance's quality. We all know the guy has an over the top personality that might come off as annoying for some individuals but people forget that's not what you're buying.

The past few years have gotten worse where you’ll see review bombs and thumbs downs of certain fragrances that haven’t even been released yet. Especially if it’s a flanker or anything Fragrance One. And you can see patterns of notorious members who’ll trash the latest Sauvage but call their favorite niche fecal oud a “magnificent work of art 10/10”.

    Agreed on Sauvage Parfum.
Parfum and Elixir are my preferred 2 and I also don't think Homme 2020 deserves the hate either, sure, it doesn't belong in the Homme line but it's a big compliment getter... at least for me.

The word hate is so overused in social media and by influensers.
Hate is a really strong word. It means you do not like someone so much you wish them death or suffering and pain.
"Do not like" is the correct word to use in most cases.
If you feel hate so often, then something is wrong with your empathy and humanity level.
Maybe you should look up if you are antisocial, or a psychopath or even a sociopath if you feel so much hate for anything, even small things like a smell of a fragrance.

I’ve tried a lot of Jeremy’s fragrances. Including both his female scents. I do enjoy them but they are grossly overpriced, super cheap packaging and Jeremy himself being a creepy, clueless fake Christian who gives horrible diet advice and is obviously suffering from declining mental health and body dysmorphia issues. I would be able to excuse his prices if the packaging was better 🤷🏻‍♀️ My final straw was finding out he filters the reviews on his website and only posts the 4 or 5 star reviews which I find to be very misleading and shady 🤦🏻‍♀️ I unsubscribed to his channel. I unfollowed all his social media. At this point I can’t deal with his very special kind of crazy and he’s not someone I feel comfortable supporting 👎🏻👎🏻

I used to be a Paco Rabanne fan, back in the 90s early 2000s I had nearly everything they produced…
But then I turned 30; and like a weird scene out of ‘Logan’s Run’ they all smelt cheap, tacky and synthetic. The kind of stuff you’d get from some ‘bloke down the market’
If Del Trotter was in his early 20s now he’d wear Paco Rabanne by the litre.
Anyway, my top 5 (no order)
    1. Paco Rabanne 1 Million
    2. Lalique White

I think in the fragrance industry just like the rest of the fashion business, one/a house has to have a locus standi to price it at niche levels though the fragrance might smell very nice. Jeremy didn't do well because he didn't have a finger on the pulse of the general public.

Personally, I love 1 million, the original EDT! I think it's an absolute masterpiece!
I also enjoy Invictus. Less fan of Ultraviolet.
I don't understand either why this brand is so trashed, snubbed in internet circles, youtube... concerning perfumery.
I hear it's because the perfumes are totally artificial, synthetic... But that's the case with absolutely all brands!
Otherwise the perfumes would cost a fortune knowing that, for example, it takes 500kg of rose to boil to ultimately obtain not even a single liter of absolute!
Some say it's because it's too mainstream, too many people wear them... Which is already a more valid argument. But that doesn't mean you have to give a biased opinion on the products.
