In case anyone wonders why these Barcades were empty when I was filming, it's because I did my recordings right when they opened for the day, so that I don't interfere with the other patrons.
23:02 - If you are coming from New Jersey, you can take PATH to 23rd St. at 6th Ave. Sorry for leaving that out for any New Jerseyans.

You're right!! Playing them on a laptop would never replace the experience of playing in a real arcade machine!

Some good arcade games there; Alien 3 caught my eye particularly, hasn't ever been ported, only way to play it is in the arcade.

I like the mix of games. There's a lot more that never saw their way to home systems and emulating them doesn't always cut it.

This is awesome! I used to visit the Brooklyn location when I lived in Queens. Didn't know there were Manhattan locations, will have to check them out.

Definitely checkout the Manhattan locations if you get a chance. They also have locations nearby in Jersey City and Newark.

Awesome arcade tours! That X-Men cabinet brought back some memories.

Those brawlers were loads of fun back in the days.

The original concept right there! I remember going there soon after it opened and just being in awe of the idea of drinking beer and playing arcade games. Nowadays you can find at least a few of these style bars in every city (not that I'm complaining ;)

I hear ya. I've been to arcade bars in other cities like St. Louis and Denver and have enjoyed them.

Thanks Anthony! Considering I had done this in 2016 and 2019, it was time for another one. Glad you enjoyed it.

Great tour! Highlights I don't see often were Quick & Crash, Alien 3 The Gun, Strider 2, Sega Ninja (Princess) and Insector X. Had never heard of Anteater before.Taking out Mappy is a crime!

Thanks for the Ninja Princess reference. I knew there was a name affixed to that. To be fair, the Mappy cabinet they had wasn't official. They do have an official one in their Jersey City location.

Awesome! Thanks for showing these Barcade's.
Ah man...X-Men 6 player! Last time I saw one of those was back in 1993 in the local arcades where I lived at the time in the UK. Myself and my 5 college mates finished the game during one lunchtime, I have no idea how much money we all threw into the machine on that day ;)

Nice! Once you are into it, you don't care how many credits you insert to complete it.

Cool insight into NYC bars and arcade scene 🤠👍
Some classics there like Galaga, Qbert and Robotron 2084, never played Anteater tho. ✌️

Thanks! Anteater has a cool concept. I never knew about that game, until I started going there several years ago.

Wow, very nice! Gotta admit, it took me awhile to get through this one, because I wanted to see all the cabinets, and I kept rewinding to see the footage. I think I like that second location best. Awesome video dude! Thanks

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed looking at the different cabinets. It's cool to see a blend of major hits, along with rare and unknown games.

They have a barcade in Philadelphia, PA that I have yet to go to. Maybe this summer I'll go there.

I last went there this past summer. It's a very spacious location.

Awesome! How much are the tokens?

    • @NeoTurboManiac78
      @NeoTurboManiac78  2 года назад +1

25 cents each. The games from the late 70's through the early 90's cost one token to play, while most games afterwards, require two. Pinball games are 3 tokens per play.
