i was 12 years old when a space invaders cabinet was placed in my local sports centre (1981) in the U.K. i have been a gamer since iam so pleased i have seen all the video arcade days on the british coast , blackpool .weymouth etc etc absolutely my favorite days with great memories of the machines i masterd dragons lair and space ace ,one of my fav cabinets was star wars sit down version. at the age 51 i play xbox and iam looking forward to the release of the new console.
i live in the U.K i would love to visit the Barcade one day, as a youngester it was my ambition to vist coney island for the arcades that were there in the 80's
Always cool to see the classic cabs as well as the more modern machines they rotate in. We’ve still got those Timber and Musha world records on lock ;)
Hahahaha. I hope those scores last, because I don't know if I still have the stamina to do it again. I love the mix of games Barcade has. The owner is really into the obscure titles.
NeoTurboManiac I had no clue about Timber until you mentioned it being at barcade and your score. I need to put some time in it because while I am nostalgic for Tapper, I lean more towards Timber now
@@BotzaBrand Timber is a fun game. I'm glad that you enjoy it. That score I have took 13 hours. I've been trying to master Tapper. I can get through the first loop of levels, but that's about it. I hope that I can marathon Tapper one day.
NeoTurboManiac Tapper might have an advantage in marathon runs. I remember you telling us about that 13 hr score. Great bar to have the select and also know it’s legit as far as competition goes. I remember seeing Robert Mruczek in a documentary where he’s at barcade asking if possible for him to attempt a score that would eclipse normal business hours. Plus I remember you telling me about Hank Chen. You still going for the top Dig Dug down the road? That reminds me, next time we get a call going I want to know if you’d get one of those arcade1ups if they made a dig dug cab. PAC Man has been tempting, moreso than the street fight 2 set up.surprisingly, but I know I’m going to cave and grab the Final Fight / Strider one
Thanks for the tour Neo. I have never been to a Barcade so this video was very cool to see. They have a great variety of games and a good selection of beverages. Gotta stop at one of these when I get the chance.
Hey Neo, Wishing you and your love ones a Happy New Year bro. Glad to see you again back on RUclips making videos and what a great way to start with Barcade. 8^) Anthony..
Nice. I have yet to visit the Newark location. It's a bit of a journey from my house. I will make the effort to go there soon. I have been to the Philly location, but not in 7 years, so I also must get back there this year.
I want do something simular but i am thinking indoor horse shoes and the old school shuffle board and table bowling with a 4 way poker table mixed in with a n64 set up and a bunch of cocktail arcade tables
🙏🏿 RWL: Rest With L-of to the Gamer Zap aka... .Also, salute to you for holding a few Hi-Scores at BarCade. Esp. the 6yr. Standing. Looks like a cool place to Game, drink & chill. Is your WW reserved @ Twin Galaxies?
NeoTurboManiac iHeard you speak Zap’s Name. However, out of Respect as he & I are neither friend or acquaintances. I didn’t think it appropriate to state his Name. Rather refer to him by his Gamer Title. My inquiry of the TG status of your Record. Beckons me to ask you, What are your thoughts of TG as a Gaming Records Keeping organization. Now that Todd Rodgers & B. Mitchell have been exposed as fraud Hi-Score holders?
@@DeadThumbGamer I understand. It doesn't surprise me that Todd Rodgers and Billy Mitchell got exposed. I am very skeptical of the high scores that were submitted to Twin Galaxies back in the 80's, so I don't think they have credibility in that department. I don't mind the increased scrutiny they have in place for new score submissions.

Bubble Bobble is a great mainstay at these barcades, likely the best 2 player arcade game ever made due to the sheer fun of it.
Bubble Bobble has stood the test of time over the years.
The Barcade was the highlight of my return to Brooklyn a few years back. Thanks for making this video. :)
You are very welcome! I have many great times and memories there over the years.

I'd spend all day in there! Great video, thank you, and my condolences for Mark who sounds like a great friend. May he rest in peace.
Thanks! He was a great friend and one hell of a gamer.
I love these arcades moments.
Yeah man! They are fun times indeed, especially the co-op games.
Really enjoyed the tour! It was very touching hearing you speak about ZAP and seeing his high-scores on the board.
Thanks a lot guys. I was friends with ZAP for 7 years and it was fun times. I will never forget.
Pretty well rounded lineup - I've never seen a Prehistoric Isle 1 cabinet in the wild.
Thanks! This is the first arcade where I have seen this game myself. By the way I went to Start Bar a couple of years ago. It was a fun place.
@@NeoTurboManiac78 I've actually never checked it out! The best arcade in town is Two Plumbers IMO. Let me know next time you're in STL!
@@Bubblun1 I just looked at the website. They have a nice lineup of games. I'll hit you up the next time I'm there.
It's so great to see so many arcade classics all in one location. Thanks for sharing this :)
You're welcome. Barcade has an excellent mix of games from different eras, plus major hits along side letter known titles.

Thanks! It's a fun place. You should see it on a Saturday night.
Such a cool place. Thanks for the video and Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I have had lots of great memories and gaming milestones at Barcade.
wow i just moved from brooklyn, im in queens rego park. but I was in East new york for 33 years. i used to goto American Hero.
Rego Park is a really nice neighborhood. Very convenient for shopping and transportation.
Hey Neo,
Wishing you and your love ones a Happy New Year bro. Glad to see you again back on RUclips making videos and what a great way to start with Barcade. 8^)
Anthony..
Thanks Anthony! I wish you and your family a Happy New Year as well! Take care bro!
Some cold beers and a Space Harrier cab. All good in the hood:)
Hahahaha! That's right. They are opening an LA location I believe sometime this year.
Awesome arcade tour! :-)
Thanks Mark!!
I love barcade!!! I usually go to the one on 24th st 🍻🤙
Nice!! I go to that location for certain games.
I’ve been to the Philly Barcade and the one in Newark NJ. Newark one has way better food. The one in Philly just has a few Tex-Mex type offerings.
Nice. I have yet to visit the Newark location. It's a bit of a journey from my house. I will make the effort to go there soon. I have been to the Philly location, but not in 7 years, so I also must get back there this year.
If i was there i would be playing marvel vs capcom 2 all day
I don't blame ya.
Great video on nyc Barcade in Brooklyn. Have you been to the other 2 locations in Manhattan? (St.Marks Place and Chelsea.)
Thanks! Yes, I have been to the other two locations many, many times.
Very cool video
Thanks! It's my favorite spot for arcade gaming.
Looks Super fun
