Mr Van Halen left a very special mark on me when he indirectly inspired me to build guitars. Van Halen - the soundtrack to some of the happiest times of the late 70's n 80's. Thx Eddie. 😃💖
Eddie is amazing sorely missed.... best guitarist ever. Punk kid who NO one can touch or ever replace him.. thanks EVH for your gifts we can all still rock out to & enjoy!!🎶🎸
Edward was just on an entirely different level than everybody else in every way imaginable . Even if you took away his tapping he would STILL be far and away the greatest he really was that special . His groove and flow will never be matched especially his impeccable ridiculously tight rhythm playing , just absolutely flawless in every way .
Class act! Gone but never forgotten! We love you! Rest In Peace EVH!
Went to my first concert in 88 Monsters of Rock LA, Ca. A lot of musical talent that day. Metallica, Docken, Scorpions. When Van Halen came out I was in awe of Eddie Van Halen, Its like his talent came from another planet! Eddie Van Halen the KING of rock guitar 🎸 another iconic figure leaving this earth RIP
Winfield Scott yes I remember there music just didn’t get to see them cuz I was trying to get a rock shirt I knew they were gonna go quick and they did. Still have mine. Miss concerts with all that’s going on and waiting to go back. Take care
I can't imagine Monsters of Rock being my first concert. Nothing else would have compared.
Love you Eddie and enjoyed every concert I went to
Rest in peace Eddie. You were a 1 of a kind of Guitarist and innovator. Thank you for the Music with your brother Alex, son Wolfgang, Sammy, David and Michael. Condolences to the Family.
I love the fact he's so humble, and have heard in other videos him say he was blessed with a gift, which means he credits God so he doesn't think he's God. That's a big deal, he's not running with the devil, Dave is.
A legend gone, so much contribution to music!! We have his music, videos to enjoy! Still he will be missed! Went through high school with his music, all the beautiful woman loved his music!!!
I miss Eddie so very much, nobody will ever, ever take his place in the music, guitar world, I was so lucky to have seen them in concert in Philadelphia, PA, in the late 70's, it was my very first concert, it will be forever etched in my mind, I love you Eddie, Rest in Peace, you were and always will be the greatest guitarist ever 😥🤘🙏❤
Im a hill billy musician and I MISS Eddie. Long live Eddie Van Halen...
Hope Eddie's health gets better ! Still music to be made
Bruce S he’s got huge shelves full of music.
@@ShockMe1994 I'm willing to bet lots of money that in the past there were people who tried to break into Eddie's house to try and obtain that music. It's prolly one of the reasons why Eddie is known for having security at his house all the time.
RIP Eddie
RIP Eddie. You are sadly missed but never forgotten.
@another pizza i don't think it's sad. It's not like people were trying to kill him or anything they just wanted to see/meet him and maybe rob him lol. It's the price to pay for being the greatest guitarist of all time..
Alex is a Star in his own right as a Drummer , legendary. HE's got such recognizable style ...
Such amazing chemistry. You can see it pouring out of of them whenever they're interviewed. That's the stuff you simply cannot manufacture, not with all the record label money in the world thrown at it. Nothing short of bottled lightning.
Truly such a amazing performer gave 100 heart talented beyond words the Best guitar player ever every stage performance was truly such a great experience to see .touched sooo many lives and the love respect these two brothers have for each other could always feel see thank you for all you have given God bless deepest sympathy to family RIP ED you will be so missed 🎼🎼🎼🎼
Thank you, Eddie!.......
This interviewer is great because she also comes from a musical family. She is Arthell Neville, daughter of Art Neville of the Neville brothers. Her uncle, Aaron, also of the Neville Brothers, sang a famous duet with Linda Rondstadt, “Don’t Know Much”.
I teared up when Ed said “I can’t play with another drummer.” 🥺😭
If I coulda said one thing to Eddie 40 years ago it woulda been " Quit F'ing chain smoking Dude !!"
I've noticed in most of his interviews he was smoking.
Rip Eddie. 💓
Can't judge, just sad.
I know right!
You'd have to cure him of the anxiety he was suffering through life first.
That would have stopped him.
Quality of life. Not quantity♡
beside his guitar playing, I love his hairdo
I live in El Monte California and ran into mike Anthony and had some amps repaired by Doug/tone zone back in the 90’s eddie’s amp repair man.never met eddie but growing up in the vicinity of some great musicians is something special to say the least.
I've been bummed and sad for 2 days. RIP Edward.
I've been into this band since MTV actually played music videos. Might have been the 80s..lol. I don't think they'll ever get old to me.
I bet his guitars are going to sell out now that he passed, I really hope so, he was a perfectionist and those guitars were crazy awesome
When Eddie Van Halen past. I realized in 1977 when Elvis died my mom was crying heavily when I walk through the front door. and said ma why are you crying when you don't even know him. It's sad to say now I know why she was crying it was a big era gone by in her life which is the same to me with Eddie Van Halen
Eddie and Alex Were Always So Close, I Can't Imagine What Alex and Wolfgang Are Going Through. Eddie Was A Genius. RIP EDDIE
Great clips from my favorite band! 🎸👍
OU812...that to me was their best album after Roth. Each singer brought their own unique sound to Van Halen. But this is for me what I`'ll always remember them for.
Beautiful Edward Van Halen is Up in Heaven Jammin with Stevie Ray Von...SUBLIME!! ;]
i got out of service in 78 and all i rememeber is van halen and urban cowboy
R.I.P Eddie 🤘🏽🤘🏽mu h respect bro
