- I am a white settler who was born and raised on the traditional territories of the Carcross/Tagish First Nation and Kwanlin Dün First Nation in the Yukon. Currently, I have the privilege of directing the Yukon Status of Women Council, an NGO focused on promoting gender equality/equity and social justice through research, education and policy analysis.
My diverse educational background includes a B.Sc. in neuroscience and philosophy, a diploma in northern sciences, and am currently completing an M.A. in interdisciplinary studies.
I bring a Yukon-grown, interdisciplinary and critical perspective to social justice research in the north.
Interests: social justice, feminism, intersectionality, governance, structural reform, philosophy of science, Yukon First Nations, social science, structuralism, participatory action research, interdisciplinary studies, gender equality/equity, policy analysis and development, project management, violence against women, MMIWG, northern sciences, research methodology
