Oak Park ain't even a hood no more. It's been gentrified. You see white family's walking their dogs down Santa Cruz (aka The Bruz). The heights is still pretty active but not like it used to be. But you ain't seen nothing unless you lived in South Sacramento in the 80's and 90's. Thats when a lot Crip gangs were still active (Garden Blocc, 6/7, Woodbine, Hogan Blocc, Sunny Slope, 50's, Sky Parkway, Cunyville etc etc). Sac was always known as a blood town but it was more crip sets than it was B-dogs back then. The old Florin Mall was a battle zone. Every week we had to run for safety out of that Mall because Meadowview or Oak Park was getting into it with a rival Crip set. South Sac was super active back in those days.

Thx for showing Sac some love bro. No one really cared about Sacramento until niggas from Compton, LA, and Oakland found out how cheap and more chill was b4 moving in.
Dude I live there in South Sac in the Martin Luther king jr. Blvd area. I never knew you were going to come to my hometown this is crazy.
I'm from Charlotte NC, and the scenery in Sacramento reminds me of home. Very similar housing stock and lots of trees an everybody I ever met from Sac had family from down south. I swear its a southern city like Atlanta or Charlotte just located on the west coast.
South and west coast seem to have a lot of similarities with the way both have beautiful weather, laid back vibes, car culture, beach culture, out door activities and the family ties
Dude, I’m from Charlotte and totally agree with you! It’s only missing freedom park
You came threw on a nice weather day aye all my 916 cats tell em bout that 105 summer days b2b
When I was out there for a few months I was going through a water bottle an hour lol
Omm I was thinking da same😂😂
105 lol.. u call that hot, try 120+ over 30 days straight in Vegas.
@@daimyofrancisco-rhodes8536 yeah 105° is hot🤣. We from cali we not use to dry ahh air yall got
Daimyo Francisco-Rhodes Nigga Vegas is in the middle of a desert Sacramento Got Mountains with trees and shit and if you go up north East to Reno you be looking at snow don’t compare a desert to sac
If we wanted to see the ghetto I can just go outside 😂
True but if you live a cross the country you can see what other hoods look like if you dont have family there
Wow you finally came to my city! I recognized everywhere you went. Sac has a lot more hoods but it's very spread out.
no one even go to where that at homie all the hoods in the south ma nigga
@@yaelbernardino6541 not all there's also alot in the north, highlands and dph ain't nice at all tbh Hillsdale, Madison those are just streets bit there bad to including greenholme that's terrible but every where have its own style and its own slang I swear lmfao.
@@yaelbernardino6541 ain't no hoods in the south literally lol south have turfs, north has hoods idiot lol
I grew up in Sac and I did not recognize most of this. South Sac is the place to film. Thanks for making a video about Sactown, though.
This was down by the Target downtown
I moved here from Detroit..... It can, and will go down here, but I love it!!!! Like a whole different country vs living on the east side of Detroit. CALIFORNIA LOVE!
Well u coming from hell that’s y
Shoutout to the 313 y’all know Cali locked in 💯
I messed with a hood dude when I first moved out here and he literally took me to all these places. Lmao 🤦🏽♀️
Half these wasn’t even the hood tho..
You're gorgeous btw
ma nigga this ain't the hood the hood really be at south sac
Sacramento looks different in a kind of nice, non-L.A. way. I thought that it was all Pacific NW style until i saw a few palm trees.
Thebrothaisback I could see that because some parts of NorCal does favor the PNW a bit
Yea it had that Pacific NW/ southern/ Midwest feel. All 3 are kinda similar and sac has that vibe
Man that ain't shit.. That was off Broadway in the poor projects but not the hood..
Should have went a few more miles into Oak Park.. Then a right to South Sac and then when done there caught the 99 north to Marconi and hit the Heights.. Then from there caught the 80 east towards Rancho/Citrus heights and all the white hoods out there.. That way you got a taste of Sacramento's different cultural hoods.. We got Mexican, Black, White and Asian hood up in this bitch..
You forgot all of south sac, Mack road, meadow view, fruitridge, oak park south and east side of the bridge... but yeah
Bruh didn’t even slide through the trenches
#BAGLIFE MIKE naw bro nobody be in there
They ain't got nun
Angelo Galindo smh 👎🏽👎🏽

I literally don't see any of these areas being hood. Just low income housin areas or homeless popularity seems a lil profiled
@G C lol go to the south then
aye nigga he ain't show the south side thas where the hoods at fr
@@yaelbernardino6541 I live in the south...
The music from the ice cream truck even sounded depressing.
Omg i said the same thing lol its really did sound depressing smh
Yeah most of Sacramento is depressing. Now The Pocket area is possibly the least depressing it feels more like the rest of CA compared to other parts of town
😆😆😆
He’s in Old North Sacramento
Y H Del Paso Blvd bruh
Real North Sac
If you want to see the hood, drive further north through the Del Paso Heights area, or the opposite direction down into the southside. Those areas you show around O'Neil Park, the old Fred K. Robinson Community, and the edge of Hagginwood aren't too bad.
I've lived in Sacramento for 57 years and have never seen those places. Interesting...
What? Broadway bro
Me too. Lived in Sac for a long time and not sure where these hisuing projects are. 🤷♂️
It’s in the hood in sac you know sac got hoods right
The first four minutes are projects right off Broadway
My City finally getting the shine & recognition it deserves. Everybody been sleeping on Sac & they been talking bad bout us since the beginning. People will never say It but Sacramento is where everybody comes to get their bag & live comfortable & also a lot of people come to Sac to run from their problems & the hoods they claim but never go back to...If Sac is Boosie then don’t come here....#SacTownKing #NuttyNorthBaby #DPH #Belden3500

Facts~ Since everybody been moveN to Sac, especially people from the bay, rent shot up...🏠💰
Lot less than paying full rent, that’s subsidized housing, Florin and Franklin the rent is $1,150 one bedroom, and more
Next trip, stop @ RAINBOW MARKET in da’ HEIGHTS. My neck of the HOOD!
You need anything that's where you go
I always see niggas shooting videos there lol
Yup! Raibow stay packed. So do Four Oaks
Or Santa Fe in north highlands😂
Not just rainbow market but jimmys too!

Sherita Davis Yup they look and feel nothing alike

@@MsBrehay from the outside looking in is where I'm coming from, I'm from the Midwest
They are two totally different worlds. I was born and raised in sac and it’s nothing like the bay.
Because Sac is its own city. The bay is a bunch of citys all in one big city Sac is on the outter side of the Bay .They have Ocean Sac have Rivers
I lived in Sacramento in the late 90’s off of Watt ave. I miss it.
It's horrible here 1500$ rent for 1 bedroom and it goes up from there.
North highlands Sacramento is a beautiful fun but dangerous city!
Erick D it’s one of the nicer hoods buts it’s always sum going on in the highlands 😂
How was watt back n da 90s
i live off watt rn shit grimey
I spent 5 of my life living in Sacramento, loved it
If you want the hood gotta slide through Parker Homes right there above the heights next to I-80 and Chevron/ AmPm. That's where I grew up. Highest voilent crime rate out of any area is Sac-Town! Also Strawberry Manors where the asian and Latino gangs reside
My 1-10 worst hood rating for Sacramento is 7.
My mom found a 1 bedroom for 350$ in the early 90s down here shit crazy now it’s 2 bands for sum nice down here
0:05 my first job was working at that auto shop. It was called Ben and sons, I used to do oil changes after school for them in the 90s.
Bout time thank you! #916 💪🏽
Sending Love to Sac from L.A. Always Northern California❤.
MY CITY
The big Mac! I hope you come back to Sacramento again. It's huge and there are many more hood areas for filming! Unless Yuba City or Roseville get gnarly, this is likely as close as you'll get to being in a "local" area. 😄🤘
Come baaaaaaack! 🙏👏🏻🤞😁
Sac is hood af.
Thank those gangbangers from Los Angeles.... They moved here to Sacramento back in the 1980s or so.
lol you just showed the mids area.... wheres Florin? Wheres Meadowview? wheres Elder Creek? where is Gparkway, where is fruitridge?
Definitely thought this was the south !
The bricks aint what it used to be back in the 90’s you wouldnt dare to go to the bricks if you wasnt from there.
Home lol Sacramento got some grimey ass areas love this city tho
Slide down the Eddie block had it in yo socks, slide pass the bricks all most got yo shit flipped😂
He aint hit the Moe in 2 trips.least he found tha swamps
You shouldve did an interview while you was out there. Sac been on fire lately as far as the streets and music
I use to stay there with my cousins and his family in the 90s man I had a blast it was super fun ty for posting be safe
The part of town of Sacramento is called Land Park. The crazy part is in the same area is a really expensive neighborhood called Upper Land Park.
you were in the north & didnt even drive thru THE MANORS, ELM STREET, NOGALES, THE FLATS, WESTGATE
A lot of trees in Sacramento, remind me Atlanta
Sacramento is known as the city of trees... plenty of trees out there.
Used to be second City in the world when it came to number of trees. Paris was first.
City of trees
Sacto has a lot lower humidity than GA, though.
Just seeking Truth Paris has more than 10 million people living in it tho and Sacramento ain’t that big
May I ask why you only show “hood” videos of different cities because I live in sac and this is not the hood
I mean, can't blame him, he's not from there
@WORDto BIGbird these are more like territories of hoods, he didnt go to the actual heart of the hood where the hood gets its name from.
Y sh he didn't go to the hoods of Sacramento. He went to one area that has subsidized housing
Let’s be real. Riding into some of the real hoods in sac can be very dangerous. My grandma lives in meadowview and if the hood folks don’t know who you are they will target you while riding through.
916 area, let’s gooo!! 🤙🏼
So cool, i love Sac. Thank you for featuring , Sac is huge tho this is only a fraction lol
Even surrounding parts of sac are similar to the south, with swamps etc...
Sacremento ain't even that ghetto like Stockton oakland modesto fresno
Oak park and del Paso are pretty ghetto.
Thank u
They wanna be like Oakland
Tamokia Hadley nah people in Oakland won’t stop moving here
Stockton Modesto and Fresno aren't none for nothing. Sac is running laps around them cities getting way more money to. Go outta state and ask about Fresno Stockton and Modesto and they won't even know what your talking about
C'mon dude. That area around the cemetery and further to oak park has had major revitalization over the last 30 years. Those brick dwellings were a good place to be a crime victim in the 80's, however, they have sec 8, city public housing etc... - its not bad there. On the other hand, there are far more dangerous places that you might pick up a tail if they saw that camera. Get real......
I lived in Del Paso Heights as a kid back in the 90's....yuck ..... don't miss at all now that I'm living in Seattle !!!
Sacramento is the closest thing to the south in California
Yea they are. I’m from the bay, sac niggaz, they like are country brothers that always tryin to copy and keep up with they city slickin brothers. Lol 😂

Charlie b havin a guide to the famous hoods across the country 2012 edition lol
Grew up in south sac from the mid 90s when it was decent to late 2000s when it went downhill. Recession hit that whole area HARD. Some of my best memories growing up are there. I remember always going to carls jr off of Mack road by the 99 with my friends when i was in high school and just laughing and eating and having a good time. Miss those days.
Those projects is fuckin huge
916 💯
This ain't no sac hoods lol
I’m from NY I lived in sac 2014 North highlands the real hoods is Oak park and Del pelsa heights whatever u call it I remember oak park 12th ave and MLK blood turf I miss sac good experience
Back in the Day i Live in Oak Park .
Oak Park is getting crazy Gentrified now, North Highlands is the opposite now it's more hood than a couple years ago
OP is getting better, North Highlands really isn't hood as it's just trashy. However, DPH & Mack Rd.....
Del Paso Heights is bad, but South Sac is worse. The fourplexes by Rainbow Park on MLK is a shit show.
Definitely missed a lot
2:49 Almost looked like someone wearing a top hat, for a minute? 🎩😃💂😅
My dude, 7:47 through out the whole video, my crib is just straight down, that whole area u just showed are not the hood, ain't nobody ever chilling or posted up u wanna see hoods go to manors, dph, flatts, grove and arcade
There is more hoods in Sac then there are nice places.
how close are you to the tenderloin San Fran? Heard wild stories about that place
