  • In May 2019 I underwent a total hysterectomy and BSO for treatment resistant PMDD, 15 months on and I have been having a few problems, here's my update.
    I chose to share my story to help others feel less alone 💚
    This is my journey and mine alone, told from my perspective, in my words.

    You have given me hope in my journey with pmdd. I'm starting the chemically induced menopause next week. I have never been more excited to start this process and no longer live with pmdd. Thank you for your videos ❤

    So happy for you. Thanks for sharing I've been suffering severely from PMDD for 5 years recently complicated by death a loved one. Almost impossible to work and feeling like I have the flu every month. Not living at all! It's been difficult to get my OBGYN to clear me. Left office in tears last time.

    How do you get doctors to agree to do the hysterectomy?

    I’m so glad to hear your doing better. I had a BSO yesterday for my pmdd. I hope my outcome is as good as yours.

      Good luck with your healing, remember you can only heal right first time once, be patient. Also try not to be disheartened if it takes a while to get your levels stable post op, this is completely normal, healing physically and moreover emotionally takes time. Be kind and patient with yourself . Best wishes xx

    Glad you're being better.
    At the moment i am searching for a pmdd specialist in germany... But until now... No success. No gyn here seems to have a profession about pmdd.

    This is amazing! I’m having a hysterectomy in a month I don’t know if they’re taking my ovaries though. I have pmdd and adenomyosis so. It sure what they’re doing, I’ll find out soon enough

      Yup 20mg fluoxetine - questionable as to if I still need it, half the month I think I do, half the month I think I don't haha! However remained on it as until hormones / everything else is stable I don't want to change other variable such as coming off long term meds 👍

    Hi did you gain weight after the hysterectomy

    • @pmdd-vlogger8873
      @pmdd-vlogger8873  3 года назад +9

      Yup! But surgery gave me a life I could not have even dreamed of pre-op, so I am a lot happier and less distressed 😊 The weight gain wasn't ideal but I'll take it if it means that I am the happiest, healthiest, most authentic version of myself.

      @@pmdd-vlogger8873 so is that what happens when most have a hysterectomy? I fear that and losing my hair

    Still cyclical? I bet it's the LH. Even without ovaries your brain raises LH extremely high because your brain is still trying to tell your body to ovulate. That's what worries me and keeps me from getting my ovaries removed.
