The weirdest thing about the baby characters is its not like they're reusing models of ghee adult versions so it saves time or anything. They really just chose to prioritize creating them from scratch instead pf adding actual unique characters. Very odd
I love gold Mario solely because of the message the actual character sends. It shows that you’ve poured out tons of effort into the game, and he’s just overall a cool character in general. Can’t really say the same about his gold kart combination though. It gives you an amazing speed and weight stat, but it also gives you one of the worst acceleration stats in the game. It’s basically “all risk no reward” summed up in one kart combo.
I ALWAYS played as Wiggler in MK7. I loved to see him furious over getting hit by an item cause I was raging just as much lol. So sad he wasn’t included in MK8 Deluxe

At least Dark Moon King Boo made it to Top 15. I really liked the editing on this list, nice job! In addition, I noticed something that you talked about with 7 and 8's characters. People don't like Pink Gold Peach and Baby Rosalina because they make no sense and have never existed within the Mario universe (understandable), but people also dislike Wiggler and Honey Queen, two brand new characters that Nintendo didn't need to put in but did. I feel like people just prefer the older characters, and would rather see them brought back as opposed to new characters altogether. At least, that's what I've concluded.
Honey Queen is awesome because She at least can be considered a character, unlike, *shivers*, Goomba, *more shivering*... She'd sorta obscure and could do with the popularity, especially knowing how terribly SMG went and how everyone hates it soo much. She's some actual friggin' variety!! Did you know we have like 10 different Peachs in MK?! Although she's considered royalty HQueen is pretty different to the others, and since when did we have a heavy female character? The Animal Crossing characters, Link, and the Inklings really do feel out of place, although if they keep anyone, I guess they should hang on to Link, if only for a few new Hyrule track possibilities. Roy definitely is the coolest Koopaling. Morton is great as well. I don’t mind honey Queen or Monty Mole being included in past or future games. Although, I have to say that Tanooki , King Boo, and Rosalina are my absolute favorite characters. I’m a sucker for Mario Bros. 3 and Mario Galaxy, what can I say? To each their own. It would be great to hear cute, yet sarcastic little quips and puns as you get passed by her in future games. I’m not a huge fan of the way Cat Peach looks or the way regular Peach looks, aesthetically, but I will say I’ve won tons of races with Cat Peach in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and even more in Super Mario Kart with OG Peach.
