    Man I know the feeling. My brother and I had a plan to make LS fest with his Malibu wagon. We got all the parts and had 7 days. We pulled his 383 and put in the engine. 4 am sat. Morning we were all done. All we had left was to load a tune and tune it. We had the Edelbrock pro flo 4 ECU and harness. The POS ECU wouldn't take a tune. So we missed LS fest. Called them Monday they walked us threw some back door options and it worked. Come out the next day bam, tune is gone. So the Edelbrock is now gone and it has a Holley Terminator and it works perfect. Still sucks we did our part ,but missed it bc they made a half ass ECU. Wish we had done the Holley from day one it's WAY better. The bad thing is we find out Edelbrock has known about this issue over a year and still won't fix it. Anyone not going stock ECU go with a Holley u won't be sorry.

    • @SniderTron3000
      @SniderTron3000  5 лет назад

      That fucking blows! I keep going back and forth on whether I want to stick to my budget on the RX-7 and do a stock ecu and reworked harness or get a terminator x for it lol

    • @1clnsdime1
      @1clnsdime1 5 лет назад

      @@SniderTron3000 I love HP tuners for the new stuff just because you don't have to mess with anything but the ECU. If you can afford a Terminator its worth the money for something a little older like that. Super simple and for the most part its plug and play. Took us about 3 or 4 hrs from taking it out of the box to firing the engine and having a smooth idle. All the sensors lined right up with the LY6. With a Holley it wants to do what you tell it to do. With HP tuners u have to make 10 changes to make one change. They both have there place for sure, but if you have the budget do a Holley.

    -TrailBlazer SS Intake
    -PaceSetter LongTube Headers
    -3.5 inch true dual Magnaflow exhaust
    -Airraid cold air intake
    that’s the list of mods. I’ve replaced the lifters already have replace the oil pick up a ring, and the last thing I can think to do is change my oil pump to the melling 10296. It’s got this damn Lifter tick on cylinders one or three that I can’t seem to pinpoint exactly which one. It also has new rocker arms that a roller bearings instead of the needle bearings. I can’t think of what else to do because I can’t get this lifter tick to go away. I’ve already ruled out exhaust leak or flex plate/TC. I have videos of the sound on my channel, and I know it’s not bottom end because it 1500 RPM it’s at 750 Ticks a minute. i used a metronome to time it and it was spot on with 750 bpm. So I know it’s not bottom end.

    You shouldn’t be mad or unhappy about it. Let’s be honest, most of us are trying the same thing. Which is, stuff a motor that’s 10-15yrs old and has more technology then the 30-40yr old cars and that factories they originally came from did, and hope shit still goes right. If it didn’t break, or didn’t have a problem, we’d all be out of a hobby and reason to get away from the battle ax we sleep next to and drink booze with friends......and burnouts........with loud as annoying but cool straight pipes.

      Not the gauge, didn't even try. He was just gonna plug in a tablet to the obd2 port and use that as a cluster

    I wouldn’t take fault for it not meeting the deadline ... hard to expect a swapped car to be ready to make a 1200 mile trip with only a few days to get it all done ... pretty unrealistic on his part to even think it would happen .

      Someone has gotta take the blame and I'm the one who told him we could get it done. I just feel bad that he dumped a pretty good amount of money into this car and wasn't able to take it on the trip. I seriously think if we had another week or 2 it would've made it no problem. Especially being a bone stock drivetrain, a lot less likely to break down aside from like a wire coming loose or something lol

      SniderTron 3000 Oh yea I know how your feeling especially when it’s a friend of yours . But honestly this thing is way further along than I thought it would be in the time frame you had .. make it up to him and have it right for when he gets back ... maybe drop a cam in it 😂 . Need some chop .

    There is a good video from the driveway engineer RUclips channel on cloning ecu's so you can use one from a v6 or something without having to pay for 4 credits but you should be abke to flash the other ecu with the the tune from the 6.0 and 80e
