A 2021 report in The Guardian newspaper said that 6500 migrant workers had died brought into Qatar to construct their World Cup stadiums.
It's probably around 15k dead workers

in my opinion the only sad part that 90% of world cups have in common is that the stadiums always either get demolished or just left to rot. its a little better when Qatar will donate some materials but what about all the other things they built? in my opinion the world cup should be in places where they already have some good stadiums and where other teams can use after, like spain, england, germany etc
for real, could've use other cities with better infrastructure that already lasted long time ago.... doing world cup in a desert seems like a waste....

Al-Bayt stadium is the best one, it's surrounded by parks and best of all, it has the largest and best McDonald's in all of Al-Khor City. Would recommend a visit there.
