@anthonynesbitt3011 If you want operatic dark metal, there are bands like Abonos and Rain Fell Within instead. Those bands are good example of mixing early operatic Tarja Nightwish of the first three albums and which Tarja could have sounded like instead of the 4th and 5th Nightwish album or this piece of trash sung here.

Yesssss! I have been searching for good Christmas music for so long. Fed of all the super-sweet, childish or annoying garbage, which you hear from the radio all the time before Christmas, I heard O, Tannenbaum from voice-goddes Tarja - WOW! I liked the first Christmas album from Tarja back in 2006 but the right spirit came in 2017 and now Dark Christmas seems to be the same or even better masterpiece. For me, this is the best essence of Tarja.

One of the most disturbing but beautiful video clips I've seen recently. It's not probably everyone's cup of tea, but I appreciate that about Tarja and love dark things like that.
She does not go the way of the generic mainstream, but is true to her art. If there's one thing she can do, it's evoke emotion. She is truly a phenomenon and a breath of fresh air on the music scene that cannot be labeled.
As for Tarja, mentioning her beautiful voice is completely unnecessary. The music is great, almost like a film score.
I don't listen to Christmas songs, but I play her Dark Christmas even in the summer.
I'm looking forward to more songs from the album. Keep on like this. Wonderful work.

I did not think “Frosty, the snow man” could become something beautiful? But then Tarja happens to it, Mr. Palmer and Dooley come along and boom, there you have it! The visuals on these videos, the choir, the special elements I have seen out there, the wardrobe, this will become Tarja's Omega. Speaking about clothing. Can someone please give Sirja some kind of award for the gowns she has designed for Tarja throughout the years?
These are absolute pieces of art, specially the white gown. Reminds me of Eiko Ishioka's wardrobe for Coppola's Dracula. Tarja has the drama, the figure, and above all the voice, the musicality to simply pick a sweet Christmas carol and shift it into a voyage into a Transylvanian very dark sepulchre, but with finesse. And that is a very good thing.
All the art involved is great. Is Dark Christmas and also Halloween related. Amazing.
You're right. And I wondered what it reminded me of. A cross between Coppola's Dracula, Tim Burton and Joe Hill's NOS4A2. It's a bigger horror than the first CD, in the best sense of the word. I love it.

I'm quite fed up with ordinary Christmas music. Classic Christmas songs might work for a while, but I can't stand Christmas pop songs. This on the other hand is what I need. Along with Majestica and Tommy Johansson, this is perfect!
This video made me very happy. Beautiful chorus and Tarja's voice and it's so much darker than what I heard on the first album, and for me that's all the better. I only discovered Dark Christmas last year, like most of Tarja's music, and this year it's one album more beautiful than the other. But this is my favorite form of Tarja - dark, dramatic and beautiful.
I would so love to see her in a musical...for me, the perfect Morgana for Excalibur :)

@@nataliarossi87It’s symphonic gothic style. You aren’t even gothic yourself. I’ve been gothic for over 25 years gothic comes in different rage in music mainly with orchestral influences and obviously Tarja is pretty well know gothic symphonic Metal singer so it just adds that flavor
@@FluffyLaDooDoo Tarja or Nightwish were never considered goth symbols or part of gothic metal (as opposed from bands such as Theatre of Tragedy, Tristania, The Sins of Thy Beloved, Ecstatic Fear, etc). If you were indeed a goth then you would know that in gothic circles no one considers symphonic metal or even gothic metal as goth music. Goth places here in my country usually play music from the 80s, post punk and darkwave… bands like Clan of Xymox, Siouxsie, Skeletal Family, London after midnight, or a few more modern like Ductape, Ultra Sunn, etc.
