I didn't think it would be possible to make such a soft and soothing song into something so dark and magical. Tarja, you are sublime. The voice here sounds on another level.
I close my eyes and I see a battlefield full of blood and lost ones, followed by a long and cold procession where the Angel of Death sings her melodies to calm survivors' souls just a little bit for them to mourn and look for hope in the cold darkness. The beginning reminds me so much of 'Vikings' series. Transports me there. The ending part is just sublime, otherworldly sublime. I cannot explain how much this treasure of Tarja's art make me feel. Thank u, Tarja.
I bought thew album the day it came out. But then decided not to listen to it until now - Christmas Eve. I was partly afraid of the track shown here, O Holy Night, and was very pleasantly pleased. What a superb interpretation of the songs, carols and hymns. What can I say exept those who don't get to hear this album will not know what they are missing. This is a great extention to the first album Spirits and Ghosts.
