This is one of the most amazing songs I have ever heard, which is more surprising when I am a heavy metaller through and through, anyone who knows me would never believe how much I love this song.

I was diagnosed with a rare type of blood cancer yesterday. It will not kill me, but this song is how I feel right now: like I'm suffocating, like I want to scream at the world and whatever god there is. Now I have to try to accept this and learn again who I am with this disease, trying not to lose my ground and just giving up. But for those I love and for those who love me, I can't let it take the best of me Edit: Thank you so much for the support ❤️❤️ I have come to learn that sadly there is yet no cure for it besides a bone marrow transplant, but that will only be necessary if it progresses much more further. There is a good chance it will never progress either, we will keep watching but so far so good 😊 I want to say to those with chronic diseases, be rare or not, to not be scared of seeking support from people going through the same. You are not alone and you don’t need to face it alone.

I still recall Bittersweet with Valo and I am not Jesus with Corey Taylor... it was about time Apocalyptica made another collaboration of the same calibre. Beautiful melody and very intriguing and beautiful imagery. The music is gorgeous....the way the intensity builds up until it explodes in an array of emotion is so Apocalyptica like. Simone absolutely steals the limelight though. The vocals are impeccable. Powerful and controlled. Emotional and delicate. Absolute Perfection. One of the best singers out there. Your tour together is a dream come true. A wish for more collaborations with metal singers in the future.

I god. This is SO good. I was a bit worried at first, because the lyrics were very cliche. I winced when I heard 'pain inside' I was about to give up on the song. But then it got good. Really, really good. Simone's voice in this is stupendous. So perfectly sung.
Whether it is the music, the composition, the construction of the song, or the realization of the video, the aesthetics, what it tells, the costumes... Without forgetting the perfect singing of Simone and her natural beauty... Everything is a pure success ! This song and this clip form an artistic jewel !
Some nerdy fun facts: This clip was filmed with a full spectrum camera with an IRChrome filter attached to the lens which was developed to emulate old Kodak Aerochrome analog film. Kodak Aerochrome was developed as a special infrared false color film for military surveillance in order to seperate camouflaged troops from true plant foliage in dense forest environments, for example in the Vietnam War. Thus plants appear in deep pink, magenta or crimson color tones while camouflaged troops become distinctly separated from the plant background because their camouflage dyes don't include chlorophyll. This is the reason why all foliage is colored in pink and red tones while skin tones and sky color are still normal in this clip. Most black fabrics reflect a lot of infrared light, and this ist the reason why most of the artists' clothes and costumes have red tinge or hue, it is especially apparent with the stovepipe hat. In reality most of the clothes are actually black or of another very dark color in this video. This false color effect was done directly in camera because it is virtually impossible to achieve in post-production alone. It is very difficult to set the correct white balance setting for this effect and in this clip it was masterfully achieved.

Last time I saw Apocalyptica live, they had Elise Ryd from Amaranthe joining them on stage (Amaranth was playing the first act that night, Apocalyptica was the second), and after that, they joined the evening's main act, Sabaton for a few more songs. I have some great hope they will do that sort of thing next year.

The song I didn't know I needed. Being a fan of Apocalyptica and Epica since the first time I listened to their music and I still remember the night I first listened to Rise back in 2019.
Apocalyptica remains one of the core groups we come back to. My kids have been introducing their friends to it also = timeless. As for vocals on this track... I now know what heaven sounds like!!

I god. This is SO good. I was a bit worried at first, because the lyrics were very cliche. I winced when I heard 'pain inside' I was about to give up on the song. But then it got good. Really, really good. Simone's voice in this is stupendous. So perfectly sung.
I think if you Google "who has the most beautiful voice" her picture would come up. Absolutely enchanting.

Some nerdy fun facts: This clip was filmed with a full spectrum camera with an IRChrome filter attached to the lens which was developed to emulate old Kodak Aerochrome analog film. Kodak Aerochrome was developed as a special infrared false color film for military surveillance in order to seperate camouflaged troops from true plant foliage in dense forest environments, for example in the Vietnam War. Thus plants appear in deep pink, magenta or crimson color tones while camouflaged troops become distinctly separated from the plant background because their camouflage dyes don't include chlorophyll.
This is the reason why all foliage is colored in pink and red tones while skin tones and sky color are still normal in this clip. Most black fabrics reflect a lot of infrared light, and this ist the reason why most of the artists' clothes and costumes have red tinge or hue, it is especially apparent with the stovepipe hat. In reality most of the clothes are actually black or of another very dark color in this video.
This false color effect was done directly in camera because it is virtually impossible to achieve in post-production alone. It is very difficult to set the correct white balance setting for this effect and in this clip it was masterfully achieved.

Después de su nacimiento estuve de frente a la muerte por cuestiones de salud derivados del parto, pero aquí sigo. Te entiendo perfecto porque justo en lo del embarazo, fue justo el papá del bebé con el que tuve el problema y todo se volvió caótico. Algo se rompió, pero literalmente renací. Creo que eso me ayudó aún más. Es difícil cuando estás dentro de una relación así, pero cuando tomas distancia eso te ayuda a recuperarte a ti, a quien eres realmente y ser tú sin importar lo que otros digan o cuánto les incomode. Quien soporta tu luz te hará brillar aún más. A quien le incomoda y le causa inseguridad tratará de apagarte. Te abrazo fuerte!!! AMO saber que vas mejorando

Last time I saw Apocalyptica live, they had Elise Ryd from Amaranthe joining them on stage (Amaranth was playing the first act that night, Apocalyptica was the second), and after that, they joined the evening's main act, Sabaton for a few more songs.
I have some great hope they will do that sort of thing next year.

The song I didn't know I needed. Being a fan of Apocalyptica and Epica since the first time I listened to their music and I still remember the night I first listened to Rise back in 2019.
Apocalyptica remains one of the core groups we come back to. My kids have been introducing their friends to it also = timeless. As for vocals on this track... I now know what heaven sounds like!!

@Steve Coronado Epica is basically "metal + classical," so it should be right up your alley. And their sound is a lot closer to thrash and death metal than all the other soprano-led bands like Nightwish. They're quite unique--I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed. 🙂
