That is a cool bridge I didn't know about it. A few weeks ago we started up that road but turned around just before the pavement ended. We was in my show truck that we was taking to a car show in panguitch UT. I put up a few videos on my channel about our trip and car show from that weekend.
Thank you for the comment! We did not know this bridge either. It was a nice surprise. That's nice that you participate in car show! I will check your videos as well! Thank you for watching
I used to drive for a living. I still love driving all kinds of places. I drove that and the “Hogback” near Escalante. Only damn roads ever, to raise the hair on the back of my neck. Will NEVER do it again.
Hi outdoor It is a gorgeous road trip. I feel like you are driving to the pretty blue sky 1:48 Indeed, the ragged cliffs are spectacular...weathered 3:25 the rock formations are amazing OMGoodness Brave PPL whoever involved to built this bridge.... what is the elevation ??? Thank you for sharing this beauty...Well done! Bravooooo I hope you enjoy my latest hike to TABLE ROCK in SC.
Thank you for the comment! Yes, it was really beautiful. It's a wonderful experience to find something I did not know before. I imagine how hard it was to build a bridge there.Thank you to those who worked hard for others. I will go and check out your video as well!
Thank you for this. I’ve passed the sign for Hell’s Backbone since 1976 but never ventured out there. This summer I think I will give it a go. Got to be better than driving a bulldozer over 2 pine trees over the backbone.
Just a quick plug: Hell's Backbone Grill is my favorite restaurant in the world. I've altered vacation plans just to stop there. And this road is amazing. The bridge is a real thrill for me. Thank you!
Wow! Thank you for the information! We did not have time to go to Hell's Backbone Grill. Next time, we will arrange the schedule to get there! Thank you for your comment!
I agree. I wish we could have taken this road to Escalante. We needed to head to the next destination. I want to go back there! 😆👍 Thank you very much for watching the video😄
But you didn't tell the WHOLE fascinating story of HOW the road and bridge were built. This video is just a bunch of superficial fluff. It sure deserved a big THUMBS DOWN. However, if anyone reading this is ever in Escalante or Boulder, you definitely do need to make the trip and learn the story that was ignored here.
Thank you for the feedback. We could just find that place. We are glad that we could visit such a beautiful place. I hope you can find a channel you like and enjoy.
I kinda agree with you...there are lots of you-tubers travel videos who for example will scan a historical marker bronze plack or story-board for 2 seconds, but won't even take the time to give the viewing public a brief summary of what is engraved upon the sign. Frustrating to the max. They drive thousands of miles to get there...but leave out the important historical facts or stories.
@@wishmire33 Thank you for the comment. I think you would have a great idea to show it to the public. I am looking forward to watching the videos. Thank you!
Gorgeous scenery! 😊
I'm glad that we could be there. I didn't realize this place when I made a plan.
Thank you, Princess

Nice job capturing those images, and it was paired nicely with the music.

Ha.. That was my project. Blast from the past. I administered that contract 20 years ago. Amazing project!
Wow!😆👍That's amazing! It was wonderful to visit there. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Did the oil company (Phillips Petroleum) that drilled the well just above the bridge pitch in money to improve the road or bridge?
It's beautiful there!
I'll put that on my list of places I'd like to visit😁😁
It is really a cool place! I hope you will visit there someday😄👍

My Grandpa not only delivered the mail to Esclante but engineered the bridge. My dad was a boy the time was there when they where building it.
😆👍 Oh wow! Really!? That's fascinating!! That is so cool!!!! You must know the history that we could only imagine!! WOW😄
Yes I do My great grandpa set 7 of his sons up with ranches in the 1800's @@outdoorlifeofindoorperson1263
That road and bridge were very scary,YIKES!😱
I know~! It looks scary😂 But, it was actually well built and beautiful! If you have chance to be there, you will like it 😆👍
Awesome road. I Put it on my exploration list. The vlog would have been better without the U-turn however. Escalante is a nice stop
I agree. I wish we could have taken this road to Escalante. We needed to head to the next destination. I want to go back there! 😆👍

You could give me $1000 cash and I WOULD NOT drive that road.
I don't do cliffs.
It was not that bad. The bridge was secure, and the road was not that narrow. So, it was not like you can fall easily.
Thank you for watching!😀
You use the word "scary" more than once, why ? This is pavement ! Good grief !
Thank you for the comment. It's just an expression. It is a beautiful place. You may go visit and have fun.
Boomers??
Boomers? I apologize that I don't understand it. But, thank you very much for watching the video😀
