Today I went on course without warmup. I wish I did. I hit 6 pars and 7 boogies on the last holes, wich is enormous for me as a beginner. The first 5 holes was a total mess.
My local range now has top tracer. Takes me 90 mins to hit 100 balls with various games. Approach challenges and rounds of golf. Love it Great to see Alex on the channel
Neil and Alex: thanks for another worthwhile video. You make a great instructional duo (reminding me of Alex's early days on GM) that I wouldn't mind seeing on RUclips more often! Wishing you both and all the GM Channel viewers a happy Christmas and a healthy new year with lots of golf.
Great idea to practice the toughest holes at your course. I also spend a good portion of my practice time on wedge shots and scramble shots from the woods. 😅
We have top tracer at my local range and that has made me actually like practising 🤣 Range used to be the most boring part of it all Now it's fun to practies and hopefully I will see the score lowered more and more
I agree with all your points. I sure wish the courses i play on were as perfect as the ones you show in your videos. Would love to see some content about playing on the typical local courses that aren't in perfect condition i.e. ground that is hard with grass that is dormant.
Ho boy! when Alex demonstrated his loosing up stretches and took his driver over his bent knee I thought, “yes! the snapped shaft drill! Finally!” Merry Christmas, nice list!
I owe quite a bit of improvement to AE. My goal is to do my thinking behind the ball .. distance ..club choice .. ball flight .. and then at the ball just feel the move through the ball. For distance .. 5800 yards I break 70 6200 yards low 70s 6500-6800 yards around low 80s to high 70's .. distance is king ... too bad.
All good tips but my 2 cents. 1.Have a professional grade full swing. If you take the time with pump drills, coming from the inside and releasing the shot properly, you will see vast improvements. Drills are key. Talk to a professional or be loyal to a few RUclips teachers. 2. Putting drills. I wish I started playing golf with learning how to putt first. It's not the sexiest club in the bag but when I started doing putting drills, my score went down dramatically. The round the clock drill is a great place to start. 3. Practice with a purpose. Don't machine gun a large bucket of balls. Do some split hand drills with some pump drills and when you feel it's right, then address your ball.
our tiny female golf pro who shots scratch, gets out-driven by me by 40yds every hole, and then proceeds to kick my butt from there on in. unbelievable. like being beaten up in slow-mo
If you want to improve, stop hitting ball after ball, i spend about 20x more time on the putting green and inside 100 yards than i do hitting more than 150 yard shots and over.
Simple really, by the way do ya see the lad in the bushes behind the two experts, he has been watching for hours and still fails to gain entry to the clubhouse for their very famous cheese an onion Sanger !
@@simonread6008 I don’t want a lesson with a tour pro, you need to read properly, and considering you have read in your name I thought you would be better at it
Number 1 reason, listening to anything from the fundamentally flawed PGA coaching method, underpinned by the nead to be able to ’cure' mistakes. Don't listen to any of this rubbish should be the first stage.

I always work on my short game and putting since that's where I'm hitting from the most on the golf course.
I’m not getting younger, so I see holding my 9 handicap (by my fingertips!) as improving.
Good tip on visualising the hole you are playing at the range

Great video. Great collaboration. Thanks
I would argue that number 9 is more about playing the correct tees for your distance, rather than your ego
Love the fact that you left in the shots that were not perfect but the concepts ARE.

You asked if we have missed anything please tell us here is my tip do not hold the club too tight waggle it before each hit

Net for playing golf swing, range for playing golf shot, course for playing golf score.

Always play a round in my head when I go to a range, hole by hole..
Maybe you should call them swing feelings and leave your mind clear.
Just because you hit a bad shot does not mean you have to change your golf swing. We all hit bad shots.
Just get out of your own way and hit the shot.
I realized that if I practiced putting and chipping, I could at least have a good enough technique to compete with a lot better golfers than myself.

11. Don’t get drunk while playing.
and here I thought it was because I've only played one round since Sept 2019...
Can you give us 10 ways to get worse?

Here we go, the know it all’s, if what they said on improvement was true then they would be on tour and not playing on utube
