  • Always love finding a collection like this - I ended up spending just under $1,000 for this group that I mainly intended to direct towards resale. There were a lot of hidden serious treasures that made up a significant portion of the value I attained when I turned around to sell these coins. Most of the value of the items were Central and South American, though there were some great non-C/SA items mixed in, which I'm excited for you to watch me find. Most have already been sold or are at grading, as a heads up!

Great purchase, Christian. The guys on the Prussian Thaler from 1794 are so called "Wild Men" (Wildemaenner), more often to be seen on coins from Brunswick- Lueneburg. They symbolize the originality of nature especially in the woods of Central Europe.

When you buy these, how do you know if they are legitimate? Seems so cool to own history! Do you just buy from very reputable sources?

Nice score Christian. The South and Middleamerican Crown sized silver coins are my favourite. Unfortunately here in Germany, i'd have to pay at least double.✌️😁
