@@voodoochile6796 Actually it was a simpler much more mellow and fun time. I feel genuine sorrow for the generations that have grown up living in front of and on their phones, seeking empty attention without real connection, throwing around words like friend about people they don't really know, except what they are fed. To always be ON . It was hard enough navigating adolescence And young adulthood without it all being recorded. Anyone, by dint of being observed will act differently, because they are being observed. How would you know who they really are if they can never let their guard down. Enough of my musings.

After 5 years of experimentation using an infrared sauna I find a sauna 1st thing in the morning, followed by a nice cool shower and then have my coffee is the best for me. It provides that essential time in the morning to get organized and wake me up, plus as a person who tends to run to hyped it relaxes me and set the pace fro the day. Late afternoon before dinner workouts help me burn off cortisol and reduce night time anxiety while still being early enough that I am not amped up for bed.

  • @JayakrishnanNairOmana

I use steam for 10 min, then 20 min dry sauna at my gym. Both are big rooms so I am able to do some pushups, situps, crunches and simply move my body and walk around a bit. Keep myself active during those 30 minutes, and I feel completely warmed up for the heavy lifts. I am already sweating a lot and helps to have a cold towel on my head and a preworkout drink (with some BCAAs and creatine) to keep cool.
After that I work out as hard as I can to exhaustion. Typically an hour and I can barely walk as my muscles are extremely sore by now. This is the best time for a second round of steam and sauna, simply lay down, listen to some music or meditate, relax as much as I can. After I reach a point I feel like I am getting cooked inside, I go take a plunge on the jacuzzi and then a cold shower.
I do this twice a week and so far it has helped a lot in burning belly fat and stubborn fat deposits. I can literally feel it melting.

Imo for fat burning it makes the most sense to me to do it pre-workout while fasted. You get a gh boost from both thus allowing you to release more fatty acids to burn in the workout.

Now, there's no gym nearby that has one so I installed an infrared in my home. I feel just as hot and uncomfortable at 130-140 as whatever the dry saunas were. I have trouble believing the infrared is not as effective. Sure as heck feels it.
