Great product from Two Notes. I love the integration of NAM, GuitarML and other open source neural model formats as a extension of the integrated models. And your demo song is just stellar ! Always amazing composition and playing.
Great vid and a killer performance here as ever Michael. Tone Heads - Ross from Two notes here! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to let me know!
Just started plying with Genome and it is so fun! It gives my Reload a lot whole new use instead of using it as a load box and attenuator. Still playing with all the features. Thanks for including it for existing customers - really makes me feel valued as a customer.
Thanks for getting in touch@@silverbeetle - good news, they are already included in GENOME! Check out the other banks past Bank A and there is a whole section of artist-series presets including Michael's awesome ones! :)
Hey Ross - First off I’m LOVING Genome. So good. Have two questions, first can you describe what the adjustments on the enhancer are doing? I’m guessing it’s more that just frequency shaping? Last q - can you explain what the contour is doing in the power amp section of the amps? It seems that it’s very focused on changing the structure of the mids but it sounds differently on different models, so just curious what the technical details were. Thanks so much!
Sat down with this new plugin and it's super! Nearly every preset is great and usable out of the box and they have volume levels set across the board, hello IK / Amplitube / TONEX, I'm talking to you!
Finally! I've been waiting for this since they first announced it. I'm using Wall of Sound with DynIRs since years and loving sounds I'm getting out of it but the UI always annoyed me. Now this looks so much better plus lots of additional features and effects. As always: great video, tones and music, Michael!
Thank you for opening my eyes to Genome. I got a copy from TwoNotes and I really enjoyed the stock presets, however, now I see the possibilities with using my own amps amd IR profiles. Great video and music
You must wake up in the middle of the night with all these musical ideas and melodies just pouring out of that brain. You sir are a musical genius! Awesome mix.
I have the Pete Thorn and Friedman packs from Two Notes and I more than happy! Great company! I have the Captor x, the Cab M plus and a Victory Copper Amp with the IR included in the amp! Really fantastic company! If I hadn't just bought the UA Lion, I may have bought this! But it is awesome!
The nam integration is very interesting! For long we haven't had a proper, easy to use host for these nam models with built in fx. I hope the FX library grows like the helix and TH-U, still missing some delay models and such but this looks very promising!
Software looks good/great but mostly feel like I just got the best, most concise Master Class on getting THE sound we all know, love, live and laugh about. Sincere thanks. Therapeutic. I'm 100% legit going to Panama like it's 1984 tonight 👍
They get a vote from me for including the DOD 250. More is not more unless it has that one. Edit. Twin tracker might be useful for my IR-X and getting that big stereo hi-gain tone.
Hey Michael - I'm in the market for a new pickup (humbucker) for an EVH guitar. Any recommendations to check out? Always love your tone and our tastes (80s homie here) are very similar 🤘🏼
P.S. Mister Micheal N. I am currently preferring Two Notes WOS when using the IR-X into DAW - that your 'box of awesome' video sold me on. Do you think there would be a big difference if I got the WA-73 mic pre I am looking at compared to using the mic pres on my Audient interface? It can't hurt to get a nice mic pre, but I am not sure it will be a big upgrade for how the IR-X sounds in DAW. Maybe, maybe not. Wadda ya reckon? Cheers.
I wonder what cabs you would recommend for a Marshall ST20H JTM. Just bought a Captor 16 for it and got this software free. The build-in Marshall cabs sounded nice, but got Pete Thorn's and it's definitely better. Wondering about the others. Someone needs to do a Creamback, haven't seen one yet. Or maybe even capture the Creraback 1x12 and 2x12 that Marshall designed for the ST20H.
Hi,I purchased a couple of Two Notes hardware & have a free download of Genome. Is the free version just a basic version or is it a full version. How do I upgrade is it's just the basic version? Thanks
Impressive demo. Thanks. Question? Does Genome have everything that you are using that we see in this demo 'out of the box', or would we have to buy extra sounds?
"New No Bet On Court" :) Is there some similarity between Genome and Opus, the amp models / technology? I always use Wall Of Sounds at home, but Genome looks and sounds great (finally much better UI)! I always use Torpedo Live rack for gigs, but trying to move to pedals. Wondering if Opus sounds as good as Genome, or ReVolt + Cab M is a better option?
Ross from Two notes here. The TSM preamps in OPUS are the same as those in GENOME for sure! However GENOME adds a lot of new engines we have been working on for expanded tone shaping possibilities. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Yes, it does replace Wall of Sound. But essentially the Cabinet Section inside Gnome is an improved Wall of Sound. Nice interface, and all up to date. You can still buy cabs through it as well. I see WoS still on some online plugin store, so it seems that it still can be purchased... at least for now. I think Genome is $80, WOS was around $40. If you can swing it, Genome is definitely worth the extra money.
Beware that the cabinet section doesnt sound the same as wall of sound. My chain sounds slightly different with the same DynIrs and mic type setups in Genome. Its a bit more honky with more mids. It definitely colours all the DynIrs. I wont be using Genome yet for this reason. wall of sound definitely sounds better if you still have the option to download it
What is the cost of this new app? I have and use wall of sound and torpedo remote with my captorX. Is this available to me to swap over to on a basic WOS account / is it cross compatible with the captor x from CD a control point of view?
@@RossDaviesTwoNotes Very Very cool. Unheard of. How are you guys making your money?! 😂 What you certainly are building is a base of happy customers. Good job.
@@RossDaviesTwoNotes And what about the torpedo remote app. Will this be getting additional features like some of the genome effects or will that just have to be done post-tracking within the genome plug in? Thanks again.
@@likelydaily6767 Thanks for getting in touch. The Remote application is simply a remote for our DSP and sadly this is maxed on our current line of products. As such we cannot add GENOME's component arsenal to this. However, you can certainly use GENOME post your direct feed to build on your tTorpedo Processed tone!
Genome crashes Reaper when I attempt to use the offline feature. When I attempt to login(Online I assume) I receive an error that my trial has already been activated. Isn't that the purpose of a trial license? To use it? I almost purchased this software and I'm glad I didn't. I don't need another piece of software reliant on some type of licensing software that crashes my DAW.
@@BigHairyGuitars Thx for the reply. I created a support ticket yesterday with them and no one responded. I realize it's the weekend but I'm just going to move on and use something else. Delete.... Back to practicing.

Yah the tones are great, but I had to pass on this one. Very cpu intensive, I'm getting some pops and dropout on presets with a lot of things added. None of my other amp sims have a problem. Loading it into bitwig and it's the only thing loaded. Too bad because I was ready to buy. No standalone version? Couldn't find it.
State of the Art sounds completely different to me, sorry. Of course such a demo does not sound too bad, but the real plugin itself did not convince me at all, especially not the amp models.
