Ohtani on the other side could strike out Gerrit Cole using only a 50mph heater, this is the best of Gerrit against ohtani as a hitter but Ohtani as a pitcher against Cole a hitter there's no need for a 99 or split, as I've said 50mph is enough to take him out looking

Cole was playing in the west coast, so he knows Ohtani very well. He had been hit by Otani, so he continued to be vigilant against Ohtani. I think that led to overall success.

I taught him that slider, he throws it like a football, stiff wrist, ON center grip. Gerrit couldn't avg over a K an IP until 2018. I named the pitch football slider. I started it in May 2018 on Twitter. No name pitching coaches were hired starting in 2019 to teach this pitch exclusively. Matt Blake, Rob Hill, Matt Daniels, Ethan Katz. Some Major leaguers tell me what game they threw it, I always show 1 to prove I'm Legit, It's on my facebook. Brando McCarthy asked me to teach him May 29, 2018, He used it his next game June 2, 2018 he told me he whiffed Rendon, Turner Gonzalez with it, gave up the HR to Michael Taylor. He said he needs more reps but its definitely a weapon. Jesse Biddle threw my football slider that same June 2 game he whiffed 8 in 3 IP. Folty had a season high 11k's the night before-June 1 2018.

I had a pitching coach teach me that pitch when I was young, it also helps make sure kids don’t injure their arms before they’re old enough to throw curveballs.
