- I had no idea this would be the last proper wild camp I'd do for a while, which makes it even more special. I hope you're all staying at home and helping make this easier on our heroic NHS staff and everyone else working to help beat this thing into touch. You're all double hard and have my full love and respect.

In France we're about to enter the 3rd week of house arrest & things are very tense. We were told yesterday that there will be no parole until June now, so something's gonna pop. The UK has been dragging it's feet but usually ends up emulating Europe's ever increasing Draconian measures. Commiserations to all those who will lose their jobs & to those who will suffer mental problems due to the forced confinement. Alas, there are casualties & collatoral damge in every conflict.
A change in geo-politics where humanity comes together in brotherly love is prehaps a little utopic, crises may bring out the best in some people but they also reveal the worst in many.
My humblest respect to the doctors, nurses & other health carers, who are struggling to deal with the consequences of one bad political descision after another & to all those 'little people'( in the food supply chains, lorry drivers, cleaners, etc.) who are currently keeping our societies afloat, you may be forgotten again when all this is over but for now, you are our heroes.

Oooh, the sound of that tent door zip opening at 2.52 gave me heart palpitations - I think I actually swooned a little at that heavenly sound. I haven't had a night outdoors in a tent since November, and as we're totally locked-down here in Poland, I think it'll be a fair few weeks before I get out again. But for the greater good we need to sit this one out and let the heroes on the frontline of the fight concentrate on what needs to be done.
So until that time when the tent is strapped to my bag and the boots are strapped to my feet again, I guess I'll sit here, mentally make various packing lists, sip some Lagavulin, re-watch all these videos (for the 3rd or 4th time), and hope for the best for us all. Peace everyone, be careful IN there.

I'd watch you paint a fence, so dig in and look after yourself. We're all turning a corner and going through one of the biggest tests in history, but remember together we are hugely strong. We might be locked down, we might be bored, we might be driving our family round bend, we might be all growing wild hair styles and apocalyptic beards, we might have stopped cleaning our teeth, and we might have started finding new things to eat in our ears, but that dunt mean you cart still upload a couple a videos from your home.
Get ya sen in garden, Slip them slinky limbs of yours in that Commodor 64 jumper, Chuck a couple of Egg Noggins ont fire, lob some Northern Monk int kettle, wang a few Brew Dogs ont BBQ and waz a couple of bacon rashers ont radiator and have a " Haze indoors lock down special". Keep fans happy and keep ya sen from gerrin the "itch". Ya dort need to be outdoors int wild to still have a good crack, get ya sen in garden and pretend that nowts happening.

Just Found your Channel sir haze and it’s helping me and the wife out in these trying times, we, like many I recon use the outdoors as our escape to gain headspace and clarity and I know from living with anxiety & depression, that having that restricted, all be it temporarily can be tough on said ‘noggin’. I hope After this is all said and done we will all be more thankful for our environment! stay safe out there mate and the rest of you wonderful uk folk. I once stayed in a mates shed on his allotment for 6 months through winter. Christmas Day in a shed is both depressing and humbling at the same time. You will bounce back mate. 1st day of lock down here in NZ. You are right Haze. We will get through this. Compassion, resilience and respect will help us along. Cheers for the awesome video mate. reminds me of my youth wandering the peak district.
I never comment but always watch your vids mate, stay safe. loved this video and the location, my kinda wild camp, bit of history!
Thing is, we are still allowed out for a walk (as exercise) once a day providing you aren't in the high risk category. just on your own or with an immediate family member that your'e isolating with and stay 2 metres apart minimum from other people. so it's not such a hardship after all if we can still do that. whats stopping the very few of us (wild camping is still not that popular a hobby) from getting out and doing a solo wild camp in a remote location then? think about it, you go out one day for a walk (1 exercise allowance), you find a quiet spot to camp, the next day you walk out back to your car and go home (1 exercise allowance for that day). avoid other people as you tend to do when wild camping and wash your hands before and after. can't see the problem.
anyways, that's my plan. keep us all informed with life on the boat, sounds pretty cool. atb Tom.
