You're the man! I spent many hours going through internet info on trying to get a CNC zone 3040 router up and running. One of the biggest things I found was all the ways to connect it to the PC. Some say adapter X works and others say they don't or Win10 will work but nope. So what I found was just go find an older computer with XP 32 bit (not XP Pro 64bit). Shut off firewall, screen savers and just about anything else that will try to run. Use Mach3 and FOLLOW YOUR VIDEO! Setting up the pin numbers is what really got things going. Mine turned out to be X pin 1-2 Y pin 3-4 and Z 4-5. Which I swapped x and y because like a milling machine the x has more travel. The only thing to add is the calibration page. I think there are many people struggling to get these routers running. Sincerely a retired machinist with a new toy!
I am having issues with mach 3 and jcut cnc. Mach 3 will not jog my axis for some reason. Also I can start the spindle under midi by typing in m03 s24000. But when I go to run the program it stops the spindle and it doesn't move at all. Just needed some help with the settings as I think that is what the problem is. Thank you
Hi there, I have Connected everything like it should installed Mach3 and put on the CNC openend the Mach3 software it says driver loaded but nothing works or responds. I did set the config as it should (double checked), still nothing......... No drivers cd or Manual was given, took a lot of searching the internet too find anything like plugins but non worked for me. Can someoone please help me i really want too enjoy my CNCEST PRT-E1500W 6040 CNC. ( USB )
I was under the impression that I would be able to get my steppers to run before I actually commit to buy a licence but am not having much luck. I just need to know if the lack of a licence means that I cannot actually get the wizard program to run in anything other than simulation mode.
Hey Brother, did you ever find an answer to your question? I'm trying the demo right now and can't get anything to work on mach3. I can get it all to work using Drufel, but I don't want Drufel, I want to use mach 3. Using windows7 64bit. Thank you, Jeff
I have a 3020 and everything runs fine, except any file I load cuts a tiny little version.I tried the roadrunner and it came out less than 1/2" in size. I had a mach3 user friend convert a logo for me at about 5" square, but when I loaded it in my mach3, it cut at about 1/2"in size. No idea how to fix it. Our systems are nearly identical settings.
setting (alt6), then "set step per unit" (lower left), command a movement, check what movement you got, enter it. and it will adjust your motors to correct output.
try any # (1 thru 25), change one and see if anything moves. Motor outputs, x axes, step pin#, change the #, click ok, then try to move axes with arrow keys. It worked well for me! Mine was x pin 1-2 , y3-4 ,z 5-6. hope this helps people going thru it now.
if I have done everything that u have done and the motors lock up and r power up but no movement can u think of anything that I have done wrong thank u for the help dewayne

I need help with the same machine. I don’t know why it doesn’t work
I did out the numbers you did and when I hit the arrow the spindle starts moving.
Thank you for this really useful video. You saved my life with the special driver advice and walk-through.
You are the "Master" when it comes to Mach3, I will be back to watch all
Compliment from Palermo ( Francesco 67 old yars :-)))
Great job explaining Mach! Thanks
Hi. The arrows don’t move the axis at all. But the software turns on or of the spindle.
What can I do?
Thank You.......A Big Thanks
When I installed mach3 i didn't get the install driver popup. Can you tell me why?

Need some walk through advice to get my machine running!! Who can i call im sure it is much. Hopefully!!
What if you can not find the DriverTest.exe program?
Do I need the license to get the driver to install?
I just installed Mach3 demo on my cnc Router, I’m not sure what values to enter under the motor outputs section for the step pin and dir pin #

Very nice but it doesn't tell you how to get Mach3 to 'see' the motion controller
