The absolute joy in Conan's laughter, when he's reminded of this epic moment, ruining a pivotal moment in Jordan's life, could bring back people from the dead and heal the world.
He probably didn't even realize it ruined it for him until now and he is laughing that Jordan has been stewing for 25 years about it. But i haven't heard the rest of the episode so i could be wrong lol😅
Well the holiday special was a thing too, but it was easy to ignore that and the special edition, at least for a while. Oh there was also Caravan of Courage.

Jordan actually really sets up the moment well. My folks showed me the magical original trilogy when I was 10 in 1990. Then the 90's as a teen were the computer games and EU novels, all of excellent quality and Lucas approved. Then when the first movie in forever finally landed in 1999 it was like a nuclear bomb of anticipation, for both generations. What came next of course was mixed, but there's no denying it was a great, great moment.

I had never thought they knew each other for this long. That's amazing and wholesome, really speaks volumes on how they can interact like they do and probably why Conan is so different from the rest, he gets to work with someone close that's good at the job

what a painter of words, is Jordan. Some, as Conan pointed out("does this have anywhere to go?"), might say he's rambling or long winded and urge him to get to the point. But that was a STORY: beginning, middle, end. His storytelling was so effective that in less than five minutes, I came to care about the 'characters' in his story. I could see everything he described in vivd detail. Pointing out how Star Wars at that point in time was still "pristine" is such an important component to this story. That alone gives us so much texture to the entirety of his tale. I was more entertained by this story than I'd say 7 out of the last 10 new movies I've seen.
Can TeamCoco make us a solid to the international audience and figure out a way for us to listen to the podcast? unfortunately SiriusXM is region lock and I feel like I'm missing much of the Jordan-Conan action. I'm starting to have withdrawals 😢
