    I can not believe how much The McKenzie method for spinal stenosis with a bulging disk has helped me, I've been disabled from this and let it go to long due to being scared of the surgery as I'm a petite frame and couldn't fathom them digging into my side so deep and hard. Due to letting my condition go for so long as mentioned surgery was my only hope due to the severity of said condition. Not so quick!!! I found your videos, and feel like a million bucks, I can stand almost strait, when I couldn't stand at all, I used to have to walk like Groucho Marks full of pain. The leg pain made me feel like I'd rather be dead even on the mass hardcore pain killers they supply me, now it's minimal pain, and I've almost backed off the meds completely by cutting my doses in half, as well as cut the times I take them per day in half as well. I completely lost my business and husband due to this, thus so happy I can move so to have another chance at life. I've went a year with out sleep and this condition made me want death, thank you Bob & Brad seriously I feel like living, thank you.

    I have followed you for years, but I never knew about the shoulder program on your website!
    After the first video, I realized my double-jointed arm is causing my pain. It comes and goes, flaring up for weeks or months after I lift something heavy.
    (I should avoid the heavy things, but I prefer learning the hard way.)
    Your instructions in the first video for people with hyperflexion were to skip all videos and go straight to the exercises in the program.
    So today, I did the rotary cuff strengthening exercises on my bed. I also practiced pushing down onto the chair and walking backward. Anytime I felt the soreness creeping in, I pushed my shoulder blades together and down into the opposite pants pocket.
    My back started feeling really stiff a few hours later, and I noticed a shift in my pain. I used a tennis ball on my back to work out the soreness and cracked my back by leaning backward on a chair's backrest.
    Fast forward a few more hours, and my shoulder blade popped loud while I was sitting at rest. Now my shoulder doesn't feel like it wants to pull forward anymore. It pulls back naturally like my good one!
    I'm amazed. One freaking day of your program, and I'm getting results. Was my shoulder slightly dislocated from being double-jointed? Whatever it was, your program is fixing it.
    You two are such wonderful people. Thank you so much! I'm so grateful to you both, and I don't know how to repay you. If you ever need a professional wordsmith to write copy, content, or emails, don't be a stranger.

    My problem is that that point on both my shoulders is sore... Of course I sleep on either side as I can only sleep flat on back for an hour or so before my back gets sore... Maybe when I get a mattress rather than sleeping on pillow and blankets on the floor this will go away, but I have been doing this for over a decade and the pain in my shoulders only started in the past year... after getting gastric bypass surgery and losing a lot of weight. No real problem moving my shoulders although I have to do it slowly when my dogs wrap me in the leash chain and I raise my arm up to get it to pass from behind my back to the front... but I had that issue years before this.

    I sprained my ankle on December 16 or 23 of 2021 ( can't remember what day it was on but it was on a Thursday before Christmas) and it still hurts and there is limited mobility. I got a x ray and nothing's broken. Can you guys please do a video on ankle rehabilitation for a sprained ankle. When the sprain actually happened was when I went to take a step forward to short it went completely to the side and I had all my weight on it.

      It'll be alright , but will take time , I also sprained my ankle and I still don't have full mobility it'll be a year now that I haven't felt like normal , like it was before. Muscles get short when they are repaired and keep in 1 position in the healing phase , now you have to elongate them by passive exercises and then slowly putting the load , it may or may not heal but give it a try.

    Guys, one other question. If one goes to a doctor to have their shoulder examined to determine the cause of pain, in addition to the hands-on tests for impingement as you show in this video, would you expect an MRI to rule out structural or tendon damage?

    First, thank you for this video and all the videos in your complete shoulder series. I suspect impingement or rotor cuff strain. I’ve had shoulder pain for a few months now. A couple of questions. I am also having elbow pain on the same side. At first i thought just interior elbow pain. Now, I think interior and exterior. Could this be referred pain from the shoulder? It seems coincidental to the shoulder pain. Second, would the protocol in your shoulder series (posture exercises, stretching/hanging, strengthening exercises) also be effective (in addition to, or instead of the massage machine) if it turns out I have shoulder impingement? Thank you!

    Thank you for the “jaw dropping” info.😂you two look like you have a lot of fun.
    I have grown quite a huge bone spur on my shoulder/collar bone that’s suddenly cause shoulder impingement. I’m experiencing terrible pain and constant pinching all the way around that joint and I’m also experiencing a loss of ROM.
    I have an appt in 1 week w/ a specialist. I was given meloxicam from an occupational PA and it’s helped take the edge off, just enough to help me sleep, thank goodness!
    What is the likelihood that they’ll suggest removing the spur before PT? What are some of the factors when they consider surgery instead of the usual PT & cortisone?
    The cortisone sounds like its prolonging the inevitable while causing more damage. Ouch! I thank you ahead of time for any feedback.🙏🏽❤️

    • @BobandBrad
      @BobandBrad  2 года назад +1

      This is hard to predict what the Dr will advise. You can request PT first or get a second opinion if you do not feel comfortable with your Dr.. I wish you well. Brad

      @gage1nate2 2 года назад

      @@BobandBrad I chose PT & a cortisone shot. The surgery sounds painful. Lets let that be a last resort. I’m 2 days into the shot & what a relief. Let’s pray it keeps working for awhile. I am extremely excited about this successful event. My Dr mixed novocaine w/ the cortisone & it hardly as painful as the 1’s in the past. No freezing stuff either.💪🏼💪🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

  • @Panaxxxx
    @Panaxxxx 2 года назад

    Hey guys, I'm looking for some help. I've been dealing with pain in my left shoulder for several years now. I saw a physiotherapist a few years ago but she couldn't seem to figure out what was going on with my shoulder and chalked it up to calcification in the joint. Any adjustments she would make only temporarily remedied pain and it would come back full force within a day or 2.
    I get sharp pain in all 3 of these motions, exactly in the area you mention and just generally speaking that spot is just sore all the time. On top of that all of the surrounding muscles are sore and tight constantly into my chest and even into my shoulder blade. No amount of stretching or massage seems to help reduce the pain. I also get a loud clunky pop, sometimes 2 or 3 pops if I rotate my shoulder forwards while my arm is down at my side, which my right shoulder does not do. Some other motions make it pop at random also.
    The biggest issue I've had is I can't seem to do any kind of upper body workouts for back or chest strengthening. Particularly any kind of pushing motion whether a chest press, incline press, overhead press or butterfly press causes severe discomfort and pain after just a few sets and I lose all range of motion in that shoulder, all of the muscles in the area tighten up and on top of that I lose all strength in my arm, where even just trying to pick up something as light as my cell phone is a chore and painful.
    I'm going to be booking an appointment this week with a local physiotherapist, and I'm wondering what your guys opinion is so I can hopefully lead them in the right direction. Is this impingement or do I have something more serious going on? I'm concerned that my only solution is going to be surgery to remedy the issue. I'm also wondering what your opinion is on shoulder braces to help keep the shoulder stabilizer while trying to strengthen the surrounding muscles. Thanks in advance.
