Shawnee Mission West Pride Band presents the Thor's Hammer marching show in full - all four movements.
The band is led on the field by Drum Majors Calista Loss, Naomi Waddell, and Caroline Tims.
About the Show: In Norse mythology, Thor is known as the hammer-wielding god of thunder and lightning; the protector of humankind. We open the show with solos by Liam Clevenger, trumpet; and A.J. Bristow, baritone as they introduce us to Asgard - the home of the gods. In movement two we discover Thor’s hammer called “Milneer.” In movement three we meet Odin - the god of wisdom. Flute soloists in movement three are Ashlyn Loss and Maddy Quade. In movement four Thor meets the Frost Giant and a battle ensues. Soloists in this movement are Nora Loss on keytar and Paul White on trombone.
