    Great list man just got the free one and picked Pilini X, still have to explore it more.

    If I was going to get just one, I'd pick Plini, because it has a wide range, and also really good cleans. Then I bought the Morgan suite, because I think that covers a lot of ground with cleans and pedal platform type use cases (Asato would also have covered me). But, I'm more of a Pedals into clean, clean-ish to edge of breakup player. Though I like the Morgan PR12 set to quite high gain. With a Royer R121 for sort of an early ZZ Top-ish tiny but huge-sounding Fender cranked combo vibe. Thinking of picking up Toneking Imperial mk.II. Because I have other good plugins for Marshall models, and don't play high gain.

      Tone king definitely is an impressive one. What’s your go to Marshall plugin?

      @@taylorjakubenko I use Tonex with the Amalgam Super Lead
      (MRSH SL100 1969) captures. And also the Softube Amp Room Marshall Suite. And I either use the JMP 2203, or sometimes the Bluesbreaker for that boxier / barkier combo tone. That said, my main Marshall tones come from a Marshall ST20 JTM studio head, that I run into the DAW from a Torpedo Captor, with IRs.

    You did Cory Wong dirty lol. Definitely an A or S tier for me...even as a metal guy. The edge of breakup tone is very difficult to do with plugins, and I feel they've definitely nailed it with that plugin.

    Yeah this is pretty much how I would rank these plugins, Nolly and Plini cover the vast majority of things I play, Gojira has really nice pitch effects and Nameless is just the undisputed king of high gain plugins.

      @@taylorjakubenko I was thinking of doing the Nolly because it was so feature rich but after your video I might go with the Palini. I could use some good cleans and medium gain options. I don’t actually use the super high gain stuff that often.

    • @taylorjakubenko
      @taylorjakubenko  16 дней назад +1

      @@bobbydreg5597 yeah.. I think Plini is more unique in sounds for what you already have. Nolly and Gojira both have the 5150 covered. Where as Plini you get more of the Friedman style high gain. But yeah in terms on Mid Gain and clean. Plini probs just has the edge. The chorus, octave & fuzz pedals definitely set it apart in versatility.

    the archtype abasi imo would work amazing for quad cortex specifically i feel like the actual plugin is so forced into just tosin's tone but the pedals are great it has my favorite compressor from any of the plugins and the clean amp is lovely imo. i think it's probably not worth on your own unless you want to mix stuff around with it but i think when it gets a compatibility update it'd be nice to have a lot of the stuff on it

    • @taylorjakubenko
      @taylorjakubenko  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah awesome insight. I guess we have to look at the plugins for parts also now they can be utilised in quad cortex. I think I might have to look into the Abasi when the ‘X’ update comes.

    Do you feel like the plugins are miles beyond the baseline models provided in the QC?...or maybe I'm not just good with setting it good rigs with the baseline amps provided or maybe that makes sense that they would keep the premium sounds they create within the paywall. I've been using QC in a hybrid setup with an actual amp still on stage. As soon as I updated and went with the standard Plini X I had a moment of I might be able to go straight QC direct to board. I have my setup ready to go live so the big test will be this weekend. Alot more feel response from the plugins to me at least.

    • @taylorjakubenko
      @taylorjakubenko  26 дней назад +1

      You can only assume they spend a bit longer modelling the plugins as they are an individual product, tailored to specifications etc. the general amp modelling in QC is probably more of a simplified snapshot. I’ve heard people having a lot of success with built in amps but utilising their own 3rd party impulses. But yeah - probably not as straight forward as the plugin modelled amps.. maybe with the new amp modelling (TINA) there will be an increase in quality to get the general amp blocks at the same level as the detailed plugins. The best thing about QC is that it’s so powerful that. It’s relatively future proof.
