The hand alignment issue on the SPB381 is an easy fix your chosen local watchmaker, and otherwise it'll certainly be fixed when the movement is replaced or serviced, so I wouldn't be put off personally. I'm not buying now, but they're cool watches IMO. Enjoy your new purchase!

I think the SPB381 is one of the best Seikos I have ever owned. I would chose that over the SPB185.
