I got one of the Mk8s and love it. I got 60000 km now, and it’s getting louder and louder without any modifications, especially the pops and bangs. Those were just small „plops“ in the beginning (like you saw in the video), and now they are loud as sh*t. When I do it inside my closed garage my goddamn ears begin ringing... not joking.
I have the US 2014 ST 5 door, I love it, it has 70,000 miles on it and still runs strong, I have many Visual modifications as well as intake & 3” exhaust, beefier motor mount, short shift kit, I was going to trade it in for this new model but Ford pulled the plug at the last minute to bring it here to the US, they only sell the Mustang in the US, I’m 71 years young and keeping this little Silver Bullet until the wheels fall off, I love driving on three wheels. Fantastic car, Ford really nailed the sub 1600cc hot hatch with Fiesta ST, Great sound, superb grip, lot of bite from brakes and any day better traction than outgoing 1.6 Fiesta ST I drive.
love how the rear inside tire lifts off the ground when going round corners quickly, the fiesta is really front heavy, front wheel drive and with a huge front brake bias making the rear unstable. its cool to see it lifting up

tubejorrit It's not fake. There is "sound enhancement" but it's done by having a tube directly from the engine to the cabin so the engine sound is directly transmitted.

I felt in love with that new fiesta. I got the 1.0 125hp only but it works as good as my old 320i e46 phase 2. The sound of this little 3 cylinders is something uncommon. I love uncommon things like that. With the last k&n filter the car got more torque and less burbling in 6th gear at 90km/h.
These are around £15-17,000 in the UK. I just don’t know whether to get one or get a few years older M140i! I know it should be an easy decision but I’m really struggling! 😂😂
5th gear seems quite high 6 th is just like an over drive . 2nd, 3rd, 4th . It picks up good may be it needs more torque , but the 3cykinder. 1.0 have the same problem
Why would they baffle the exhaust to sound like a farty inline 4? Natural exhaust tone would sound awesome.(Inline 3, 6 and V12s have the same sound profile) The induction noise inside does not disappoint though.
well problem is that I don't fit very well in a fiesta xD one of the main reasons I had to look at the focus ST straight away xD And even in the focus, only a very small person can sit behind me lol.
Thats the enhanced engine sound it plays back over the speakers in the interiour. It's raelly soubtle so you dont notice that its fake. I have one and i love the note. Kinda like an 350/370Z

I don’t really like changing the exhaust , in my experiences they may well deliver the proclaimed extra 10bhp but at the expense of Low down torque , and that extra 10 bhp gets delivered on the last 1000rpm , so what you gain you lose . I’d much rather have the Low Rpm torque than less torque in the lower rev range and 10bhp when your revving the balls off the engine. Not to mention a Non red zaust with constant droning noise .
Anybody that comes from a motorcycling background will understand that hating 3-cylinder cars is a big dumb dumb thing to do. Power in three cylinder vehicles is way more linear than 4 cyl and sound can be great. Search for "Yamaha MT09 Sound" or "Triumph Daytona Sound" if you don't believe me 🌚. They are less refined tho
Interesting how torsion beam suspension and 3 cylinder suddenly became cool just because of this car. In reality it's a basic budget setup compared to independent suspension and 4 cylinder.
