- Traditional monofocal lenses focus light entering your eye at a single focal distance. This means you will see best at either far, near, or intermediate distance without glasses, depending on the lens power you select. Most people choose a lens that provides good distance vision without glasses. Learn more at www.geteyesmart.org.
Good presentation - but not quite complete. I had a "monofocal", and still retained a "range of focus" of about 2 diopters. Thus I could read 20/20 at 20 feet, and read at 27 inches with no lens. By using "mono-vision", I could have had both 20/20 and easy reading at 20 inches. It is always an educated choice for the person himself. This truly solves the problem of "nearsightedness." Thanks for the video.
Straightforward information and gets right to the point.
