Hi! Thank you for explaining how to enable Accounts *and imports*! I had problems adding a mail account due to "POP server errors" but this workaround was exactly what I needed. :D
I was so excited thinking this was it, but I hit another obstacle and I'm hoping you can help. I looked through the comments and didn't see anyone else with the issue. Mine is two business emails under the same domain. I follow all your instructions for Google Workspace and when it comes time to "sign into your other email account" which I do... it then says this: Name-of-my-company, Inc. Mail couldn't identify your POP server. Please enter your POP server information below. Then it gives me a POP username field, a POP server field, and I can edit the port which is defaulted to 110. I'm WAY outside my zone here - would love to get your take if you have the time - just trying to migrate one biz account emails to another : )
Hi Stewart, this is great. I wanted to migrate my email from Google Workspace to a free gmail account as I am selling my business. I followed all of the steps but I get the following error Gmail couldn't identify your POP server. Please enter your POP server information below and Could not validate this combination of email address and password. If you are sure your password is correct, sign in to your other mail provider to confirm and complete any necessary captchas or image verification tests and then try the import again. Any suggestions for what I could try? Many thanks :)
Hi Stewart, thanks for the great guide - I am having issues enabling the 'import' function on the Google admin console. In my console it doesn't give options for Apps > Google Workspace > Gmail > Setup. I note our account is 'Google Workspace Business Starter'. could this limit the functionality?

Solution - Gsuite to Suite issues For those who might be having issues migrating Gsuite/Workspace to Google Workspace, a solution that worked for me was go to Admin Console/Settings/less secure Apps and under it select "Allow users to manage their access to less secure apps" and hit save. Try the migration process again and hopefully it should work. Also if you can't find less secure apps in settings, just search for it on the admin console search bar. All the best

Hi Steward! I'm planning to create a business account using Google Workspace. Right now, I have a personal Gmail account with messages related to my business labeled with the company's name. I want to transfer these labeled messages from my free Gmail account to Google Workspace but keep the other messages on my free Gmail account. In one of your answers, I read that we should transfer all the messages and then remove the ones we don't want to keep on Google Workspace. My questions are: 1) When we transfer emails from a free Gmail account to Google Workspace, are we creating a copy of them on Google Workspace or automatically removing them from the free Gmail account? 2) Is there any way to link my free Gmail account to my Google Workspace, so I can use the free email account for specific purposes like purchasing software? It would be like "a kind of" another alias. This way I wouldn't have to update my contact info in every one of my software subscriptions, and I would get informationform them in a single dashboard. Thanks

Can you imported just selected emails?
You can import all emails or selected.
Hey mr. I tried this a while ago but out of 378 mails from my old gmail accnt, only 30 were imported to my new gmail account. How is this going? Can you help me fix this?
Hey Apollo,
Are you sure?
hi mine wont let me sign into my old account, it says gmail couldnt identify your pop server
Hey Kerri-Anne,
Try reset the password of your old account and try the process again.
@@StewartGauld nope that didn't work either
The "Accounts and Import" tab is not an option in my account. I've looked everywhere for a solution with no luck. Can anyone help?
Nevermind. The answer was in this video. I just had to keep watching.
Hey mate,
Glad you found it!
when I get to this part "User email uploads
Show users the option to import mail and contacts from Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL, or other webmail or POP3 accounts from the Gmail" its greyed out, what step did I miss? Great Vid thanks
Hey,
If you are meaning in your Google Workspace paid gmail then you will need to get the admin to go through the process I show in this video.
Hi Stewart, I have a Gmail account with company domain. I m trying to transfer all my emails to a new gmail acct. Do I use the same method?
Thanks
Hey Stephanie,
Yes. Watch the video through to the end and try the last method.
Hi, it prompt a message saying that Gmail couldn't identify your POP server. Please enter your POP server information below. When i tried to import email from G Suite account to personal Gmail. It will be very much appreciated if you can help...thanks
Hey mate,
Feel free to send us an email.
@@StewartGauld May i know your email address? thanks
Mine says "Gmail couldn't identify your POP server. Please enter your POP server information below." The account I want to import from is a Gmail Business Email account (in my company's name). Does this require admin access for the migration to go through?
Hey mate,
Yes you will need to get in touch with your admin to give you access.
Hi, nice video. I wanted to check if there is any other way to import accounts from the old to the new one. On my one, it only has "accounts" and not the "account and import" tab. Cheers
Hey mate,
Keep watching the video. I explain how you solve this.
@@StewartGauld Cheers!!
does these include sent emails?
Solution - Gsuite to Suite issues
For those who might be having issues migrating Gsuite/Workspace to Google Workspace, a solution that worked for me was go to Admin Console/Settings/less secure Apps and under it select "Allow users to manage their access to less secure apps" and hit save. Try the migration process again and hopefully it should work. Also if you can't find less secure apps in settings, just search for it on the admin console search bar. All the best
Thanks for that mate.
Hey, bro awesome work! loved it
Hi mate!
Send us an email in more detail. That way I can provide some guidance.
@@StewartGauld Oh thanks but what's ur e-mail tho?
Thanks Stewart - Do you have any tutorial or links to where I can find info to migrate free gmail emails to cPanel email account?
Hey Brian,
I do not. However, we will look at creating a tutorial for this. Cheers.
Hi, thank you for the tutorial, very helpful. but I want ask a question, I've migrated email, the question is what happens if I delete the old email account, will the migrated email be lost or will it remain in the new email??
Hi mate,
Your migrated emails will remain. Once you have completed the migration and checked all your emails/contacts/folders have moved across you can remove your old gmail.
@@StewartGauld okay thanks a lot, mate..
My questions are:
1) When we transfer emails from a free Gmail account to Google Workspace, are we creating a copy of them on Google Workspace or automatically removing them from the free Gmail account?
2) Is there any way to link my free Gmail account to my Google Workspace, so I can use the free email account for specific purposes like purchasing software? It would be like "a kind of" another alias. This way I wouldn't have to update my contact info in every one of my software subscriptions, and I would get informationform them in a single dashboard.
Thanks
Hey mate,
1) you are moving your emails over.
2) You can do this and then add forwarding to your professional email.
@@StewartGauld Thanks, Steward
Got stuck here: "Could not validate this combination of email address and password. If you are sure your password is correct, sign in to your other mail provider to confirm and complete any necessary account
Hey Sara,
Try reset your password and use a different browser. Do you still get the same issue?
@@StewartGauld Yeah, it didn't work. Maybe I should look into transfering instead :/
