I just made this tonight for dinner. It turned out amazing. But I substituted the water with milk to make it more creamy. And I also used silken tofu instead. I also added a dash of sesame oil to the sauce and it smelled so good!! And I added mirin seasoning to the shrimp. Thank you for another amazing recipe chef!
This steam eggs with tufo and prawns is a Chinese recipe all time favourite dish.. I’ve been cooking this recipe over and over again. It is definitely delicious and nutritious dish, kid’s love’s and enjoy eating this dish..
I use boiled water. When water comes out of a faucet it is aerated and has little air bubbles. Boiling water for a few minutes and cooling it down takes the air out if it which makes the eggs puff. With this method you can cook on high heat without “cratering.” It cuts down cooking time to a few minutes. I remove it when it is still a little jiggly in the center.
Made this together with super easy scallops & asparagus with ginger sauce! The sauce is amazing 😋 3 proteins eggs, tofu & prawns! 👍🏻 Both are super easy to make & super delicious! These 2 dishes will be our staple all time favourite food Thank You Roland & Jamie!👍🏻🙏🤗💕🇸🇬

I made this dish tonight and it turned out well. Made a few changes. Used 2 eggs, chicken broth instead of water and added some green peas to the egg mixture. For the sauce I substituted with oyster sauce.

I followed Your other recipe for steamed egg - steam on very high heat for about 3 mins; then turn off the fire and leave it aside, covered, for 25 mins…. The steamed egg also turned out very silky and light… 😋
Hi J, we used silken tofu from Fortune brand but not to worry if this brand is not available to you. You can just get any soft tofu like silken tofu or even egg tofu for this recipe. Happy cooking!

They also have an attached market with a fish stand and aquarium with fish and other seafood.) They make Fried Tofu Rounds. It is so light, delicate and so delicious.
Went to our favorite restaurant, Asian Pacific, and had fried tofu. So silky and delicious. Made with a round silky tofu. Sliced into rounds and I believe dipped into an egg and then a flour mixture. Have you ever heard of this?
This was a restaurant quality dish! Wow I had two bowls of rice with this. I never thought a simple steamed egg dish could be so exquisitely executed.
