It reminded me of this time I was having a sleepover at a friend's place and we were up late and decided we should make an intentionally bad creepypasta but as though it was trying to sincere.
We made it based around Skyrim too, featuring hyper-realistic blood, acting very smart and tough, dying irl from the game, etc. We got a few comments saying how awful it was, one or two saying we were trolls, and it ended up in the crappypasta website if that's still around.
Definitely not one of my proudest moments (there was some crude language that I wouldn't have used personally), but we were committed to the persona, and it was a fun time and hilariously bad to look back at.

I remembered talking to my fellow play testers just the day before, but on the next day, the entire office was empty. When I went to ask Todd, he simply replied "What? What is a playtesters?!" Shocked, I left the office through the rectangular, wood framed opening that serves as both entrance and exit. It was at that very moment that I realized what had been bothering me since the first day of my job. Everyone had hyper realistic eyes! I wish I had followed the rules that I was told about during the interview.

That cabbage story is so wholesome. I spent so much time with my friends just doing stupid shit like that one boring days. Many highlights from the day we found an old tire and a chain in a pit, and used the chain to haul the tire up a hill and then chuck it down the hill.
I like how a carful of older kids came along and, simply because of a cabbage, they all had a great time together, with the older teens playing with the younger kids. That was wholesome.
lol imagine being the person who gave them that cabbage to later see it shredded all over the road, tho? If you give kids anything other than candy on Halloween, it’s never gonna make it to their house.
That really was wholesome. A group of young adults sees some kids on Halloween. Do they prank them? No. Do they ignore them? No. They notice that someone gave them a CABBAGE, and then give them a show.

Went shopping with my brother once and he wanted to buy a watermelon, so we were walking through the shop carrying one around.

The fridge was full of moldy food from the previous tenants. During this time I grew an increasing urge for lasagna, which I was unable to make for those three weeks. I never recovered.

The Saw bit is actually a hilarious idea for a black comedy movie. Where the gag is that the saw man comes up with these amazing, lethal traps, but because hes incompetent he always forgets the 1, really really obvious way to solve the puzzle.

We stayed at an old house once that wasn't marketed as haunted, but there was a painting of little victorian girls whose eyes followed you, lots of locked doors, a locked closet with a light on inside, and a book called The Angry Moon that looked really creepy, and everyone at the gathering refused to open it. That made everything more fun, to be honest. Would gladly stay at a place that plays into it.

I think people only use the dislike button when it's a really terrible upload. The only reason, as far as I can see, why RUclips would remove it (i'm being really obvious here) is both to protect big media corporations image when they upload utter garbage (which is 90% of the time). And so RUclips don't have to spend ressources on requests to reset the dislike counter.
It was mostly from Government videos being really disliked like to an astronomical amount of hate so they just had done it at the very moment
Halloween was always my favorite because it was my birthday as well. Learned from an early age that if you tell adults at the houses you go to that it's your birthday, they'll usually congratulate you and dump the entire bucket of candy into your bag so they can call it quits. I can see so many things going wrong with a haunted Airbnb type setup. I did an escape room once, and they had this long list of things you weren't allowed to do. "Please guys, don't punch holes in the walls. Don't try and unscrew the light switches, they're not part of the game, and it's unsafe to do that. Dont break the lamps, we don't put clues in there and we can't afford to replace them. If we catch anyone trying to rip up the floor boards, you will be charged." Etc. etc. People would absolutely THRASH a house they think is haunted, trying to prove that it's just a trick.
Plus, liability issues, tbh. At least in the US, where people can and do sue for just about anything. Someone with a heart condition reacts badly to a jumpscare, etc.

No, that would have actually been a good plot.
Make the flashlights LED and wire them so some are UV light. That way you have a regular torch that is emitting UV light. You will see wall has nothing on it but when you shine the light on it you'll see the creepy stuff.
Also the house would have to be custom built for this but have a gap between the first and second floors, a hollow space, not too thick maybe 7 inches or so, you can disguise it. Fill it with strong actuators programmed to go off in a way that sounds like footsteps.
You're all on the first floor, you hear thumping above you like heavy footfalls. Then you make doors open and slam shut and then the footsteps get quieter.
Or you have creaky floorboards to go with it.
The best horror is all tension. Give the audience fuel for thei own imaginations and watch them do the work for you. As Yahtzee once said "real horror is being locked in a room with something that hates you in a very passive aggressive way"

On the topic of the haunted air bnb, ive always had a little fun idea to commission a bunch of paintings of a dark path in the woods. The first night it's just a path in the woods, but every night I'd switch the paintings. First it would be subtle things, a couple new dots in the thickets, and a silhouette in the back. And it just keeps slowly getting closer to the foreground, see how long it takes for them to notice.
You can also get paint that reacts to heat and changes colour. Could use the places air conditioning to make the figure appear remotely.

I loved the creepy pasta. The editing was excellent. I honestly thought they were reading a random creepy pasta and not just making it up as they went.
I got real creeped out by one of those bad boys when I was younger. Had to sleep with the light on for days. And there are quite a few similarities...
It's an excellent one. I was pretty unsettled by the end. But all of IH's spooky ideas are great... maybe he could become the next Stephen King?
