Someone else is finally playing Undaunted!? It's not just me? Btw, I play it with a bleed focus using twilight, bloodletting, and indomitable for a ton of heals of bleeds. I take whirlwind related talents to capitalize on easy aoe damage as well as proc'ing bloodthirst/aoe deep wounds. Crimson Tempest is also a must have as aoe bleed effects in tandem with Deep Wounds is pretty fricken great healing. The only thing I'm missing is using bloodbath for yet another bleed effect. With this build you can have Rend (bleed) on 5 targets, Crimson Tempest aoe (bleed 2), Rupture, and deep wounds all up at once healing you. That's on top of the Victory Rush heals. It only gets better with TBC as it allows some flexibility in talents.
@@bananajoe275 You would be correct. It's much better in an aoe situation. I dont think this build will ever be a fantastic raid tank, but dungeons it holds its own just fine. The thing that shores it up though is how often you have Victory Rush and Last Stand up. The heals plus the increased stagger effect really shines with spike damage. It won't however hold up to a shield pally/warrior tank. Those guys are just way sturdier. This a more for fun build than meta. It does get better with the addition of TBC though.
Hey man, want to say thank you for always posting quality, edited content. Much easier to watch than a vod. Hope to see you around for a lot longer - Claman
Love love love this build, I’ve been playing something similar on Area52 (obviously without the new REs) and it’s a beast. Love the vids, you’re the reason I got into ascension back in season 6 and you helped me get up to speed on how to play, and you still do. Keep up the good work. Bankdito - Thrall
I played Undaunted last season. Love/Hate it. You're a Brewmaster Monk. Stagger *can* be amazing if you time things right with clearing it. Ultimately there were just tooooo many damn short cooldowns/buffs to track. I do love having multiple 50% damage reduction CDs though. It's like a DoT DPS where you have to track a billion WA bars and reapply things.
Very interesting take on a Wind tank. You had my husband trying to guess what you would go for with the RE hint from the last video :P. Looks fun. Bellaluna-Thrall
11:43 This might sound a bit crazy... but maybe look into the Swashbuckling epic RE that increases your attack speed by 30%. Then look into a good 1h sword that gives some parry chance. I think there are a few good ones for this. Combine that with Sword Spec for a chance at an additional attack and you should be proccing your Windfury a lot more. This will help you with damage mitigation and add some extra damage. As a tank, your primary duty is to hold agro and stay alive. Doing damage comes second.
If you ever go for undaunted again (or just want to see your stagger) i suggest to get the weakaura showing how much is stacked into your stagger so you can use last stand at the best moment. Keep going with the great content Elgrigri
I play blade master parry tank, defense of thundarian, sword and thunder, in the zone. I do 3-6k aoe dps. Single target kinda sucks but I out dps a lot of people in my runs.
Frost Armor and Thunder Clap are an easy to obtain combo that reduces the attack speed of all enemies around you, and it benefits greatly from the additional slow you get with Improved Thunder Clap. I haven't tried it, but Serrated Blades in the Subtlety tree should grant ignore armor to ranged attacks going by the tooltip which would pair nicely with Battle Stance for a total of 16% ignore armor.
Sword - last boss of LBRS bis for parry tank - would liek to test this ere with Crimson champ lre and Zepyhr and windslam EREs - tanks care about Rockbiter > Ap = threat
From wowhead classic.. as Tank 2hand weapons with stats. Draconic Avenger - Axe 2h from Blackwing lair Obsidian Edged Blade - Sword 2h from Molten core Typhoon - Sword 2h from Azshara Unyielding Maul - mace 2h from Dire Maul Relentless Scythe - Sword 2h from Blackrock Spire Monstrous Glaive - Polearm 2h from Dire Maul ( 57 ) Dreadforge Retaliator - Axe 2h from Blackrock Depths (low level 54)
Tanking is awesome! My favorite part of the game. Run up to something, insult it's mother, and watch it go down. I agree could use more tank enchants, hopfully they'll come out with them. - Shaithis
Never played Ascension, but seeing this vid especially reminded me of when I played DW Frost DK tank in Wrath. Is it possible to go for a build like that here?
For your question if any tank really cares about wep enhancement, yes, bear does, you want 2h rockbiter (tg and shield ofc too) so you have more value from savage defense which scales with ap and stam
The "Rare" Golem before the 7 dwarves in BRD, exactly just the room after the place you do the lava skip, drops a tank 2h sword that'll be BiS for a while. Magmus is also kick-able! - Fero
Been away for a bit playing Darktide but this is pretty much my tank build on Area 52 character name is Iodis if anybody wants to have a look just search Iodis on the level 70 build section and you can find a few builds I have made and tested. Edit: when I say pretty much my tank build what I mean is I play undaunted tank and I have a very good tested build that I used a lot.
once a gain a fresh look at a build I love it :) hope to see you do the bloods of the old gods... Gl rolling Hunger for Blood... I gave up after tons of prestiges. - Shortlegs
Love the tank builds. I'm trying to work out a mana forged barrier tank myself. Just can't decide the best legendary re for it. Eldritch knight vs Templar of flame. Thoughts? Ign is Ollock
I wish the Cloaked in Wind buff stacked atleast 3 times. Seems a bit weak vs magic without more there, which could be the factor that lets 2h tanks stand out amoung the myriad. 😊
I enjoyed the Thunder Slam LRE for this tank build. the chain lightnings and tslam/lblades were a good aoe pull and st dps addition. Thrall - Lovestozug
Hey Mcdoubles. FOr a 2h sword with parry there is Typhoon from Azuregos world boss. Yeah i dont know the progress on ascension but i just wanted to say the sword.
Sword from the "RARE" boss in BRD, the white golem (Panzor the Invincible) in the room before the summoners can drop a really nice tanking sword, just saying. -Sinep
I'm basically larping a Demon Hunter on Thrall by playing Master of Shadows. Actually still works decently with the right tools, and the T1 8-set Enhancement Shaman bonus might be incredible for me. Looking forward to farming MC. -ign Danarion
you could perhaps in a PvP scenario as troll go Zephyr and Swashbuckler, especially as troll and even martial crescendo with a 1.6 speed mace and perhaps speedy cd's and whatnot only problem is not very tanky.
Some optimizations you could have done is trade out sword spec for unfair advantage in rogue tree for more consistent bonus attacks for fewer talent points and being weapon type agnostic. It can also be combined with In the Zone RE to grant you a DK style Antimagic Shell every time it props. Not getting Ghostly Strike was the biggest lose for the build, besides it's strength baseline it also opens up more efficient and stronger DR talents like the 3 point Enveloping Shadows that gives a massive 10% physical DR and a 30% DR to any aoe attacks regardless of damage type (huge for raiding since many bosses have frontal cleave autos and other big aoes meant to punish melee dps) whenever you have Ghostly Strike active (so always). -Xenthalus Thrall
I'm using the rogue talent you mentioned I just didn't point it out. Funny thing is I knew if I didn't mention it someone would tell me to take it bc it's happened in previous 2h parry vids lol
I always liked playing 2H One with the Light. Play tank, healer, and now with that Hour of Judgement its also a dps spec. Tank and healer spec getting off instant cast of any holy spell feels awesome especially with high crit(60-70%+) and 30-50 mana prayer of healing. Sadly healer spec you need tank to pull atleast 5 mobs+.
Someone else is finally playing Undaunted!? It's not just me?

That only sounds good for AoE Tanks tho

I always love it when you take a build that seems weird at first and make it work. Keep it up. Alences
Coolest tank concept yet! Now I have something to work towards. Great video! - Palengray
Thanks for the uploads, keeps me entertained. I'd love to get back into PA but life gets in the way. Keep it up sir. Love it.
Love this tank build! Keep it up!
Thirden
U want the sword from LBRS, from the dragon at the end. And two loaded stones from DM North Tribute. My Tank mate has the made almost the same build.
Absolutely love your videos. Hsd some fun playing around with the specs.
Staticone
Love love love this build, I’ve been playing something similar on Area52 (obviously without the new REs) and it’s a beast.
Love the vids, you’re the reason I got into ascension back in season 6 and you helped me get up to speed on how to play, and you still do.

that RE can be adopted to a wide variety of builds, im going for one of the lightning versions at the moment looks fun - Melkemannen
Love to see a tank build! the theme of the WRE is great imo and amazing to be able to have variety with extra dps on tanks.
I ALWAYS go 2H undaunted! love to see it man.
Nice video mate! Very glad you tried this WRE :) - Seasonisterr
Thanks a lot for the content!
Did someone say [ Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker ]?
Looks fun! Appreciate all your content, even if you don't intend to or realize it, it really helps build the community
Guano
Demonspeeding is my name, love your craftings :) good luck and dont stop
Oooh! A tanking video! Looks like fun!
Finally a build something other than DPS. I'm very happy! -Pigeon
Interesting tank build. Thanks again for all the videos! - Fearce
OMFG UNDAUNTED?! HEll yea! I always wanted to see that LRE
Always love watching your videos and always inspires me to make new specs all the time. - Fentulk
Great vid as always keep it up -Betong
Yes! More tank ideas. Loved this one. -Telvon
At 19:10. You spoke about the avoidance cap.
It's 102.4% total avoidance.
You will never be able to reach that without a shield :)
Hey man. I'm new to PA. So far no idea what i'm doing but I'm loving the videos and builds you show. Keep it up. :)

Nice vid man, you are for sure the person which made me rejoin project ascension S8. Volxi - Thrall
Also be watching a video and playing WoW! Love the vids. - ExotiC

Problem with that is that some talents/abilities work only with 2h weapons
Tanking sword off the rare golem mob in brd after the ambassador
Great video as usual!! Looking forward to do heroic mc with the guild hehe. -Windfuhrer
If you ever go for undaunted again (or just want to see your stagger) i suggest to get the weakaura showing how much is stacked into your stagger so you can use last stand at the best moment.
Keep going with the great content
Elgrigri
Got a link to that WeakAura?
Early video! Yess!! Can't wait to see this build! - dollars
Greate content buddy, now i'm waiting for a big healer spec! :D
-Ehavil
theres a two handed tank sword from the world boss in azshara called typhoon, unsure if its in or not though
Bro that legendary would work with my thunder slam build i made in season 7! Also loving the vids man keep it up
Sick build gonna try it when I have the chance
Adroxia-Thrall
I always wanted to do a build in Project asecnsion where all you do is auto attack and rely on weapon procs.
Another great vid! Btw could I use the Wind Slam epic Re to a DPS char? Not Hoplite, just for the 10% increased chance to proc WF alone. -Kruos
Loved this vid, keep it up man. Snickle -Thrall
I play blade master parry tank, defense of thundarian, sword and thunder, in the zone. I do 3-6k aoe dps. Single target kinda sucks but I out dps a lot of people in my runs.
Still go on. Love your vids! -Cornvex
You definitely called it, we got super excited as healers and tanks just find none of them brought a new style of gameplay.
Frost Armor and Thunder Clap are an easy to obtain combo that reduces the attack speed of all enemies around you, and it benefits greatly from the additional slow you get with Improved Thunder Clap. Dont think the slows stack
Arms warrior tank for the win haha! Nice vid & build! Thrall: Twiet | Moreina
That bird on your head is adorable. More birb please. - BadVooDoo
Hmm that is awesome 😮 that is a Classroll for Olenutz
Sword - last boss of LBRS bis for parry tank - would liek to test this ere with Crimson champ lre and Zepyhr and windslam EREs - tanks care about Rockbiter > Ap = threat

Tanking is awesome!

Called 2h parry on the last video! Nice!
haahah im in the MC raid Mcdoubles was pumping :) -Adones
Great video man, I have yet to try a tank. - Halbrand
You need mocking blow and ghostly strike they help alot, also re for tclap reset and tclap aoe field are good for build -moltres
Undaunted Parry tank is very nice on area 52. Can't wait to get the new enchants over there. Kublakahn
For your question if any tank really cares about wep enhancement, yes, bear does, you want 2h rockbiter (tg and shield ofc too) so you have more value from savage defense which scales with ap and stam

in TBC there's a sword named khorium champion that you can make as a blacksmith
Been theory crafting a new build, so the grind for correct core abilities begin!

2H tank has always seemed fun to play.. gotta try it. Trost - Thrall
What is the add ons that you can see ur hp numbers?

Great video
For your discord you should put your videos into categories so all the tanking builds in one all the healing in one and one for the DPS.
And Btw what recording and editing software do you use/recommend?
Simple OBS and Adobe premiere seems to work
Would this work with like duel wielding?
I should try a tank build, might as well try this one. -Doukii
Love the tank builds. I'm trying to work out a mana forged barrier tank myself. Just can't decide the best legendary re for it. Eldritch knight vs Templar of flame. Thoughts? Ign is Ollock
Cool, i kinda wish 2h parry tanks get some love this season, maybe with a new worldforge RE
-Pilara
I wish the Cloaked in Wind buff stacked atleast 3 times. Seems a bit weak vs magic without more there, which could be the factor that lets 2h tanks stand out amoung the myriad. 😊
noticed this yesterday and though the same thing 3-5 stacks would be perfect imo
you could take Nether Protection in the destro warlock tree for alot of magic dmg reduction
Would love to see you do Disciple of Arugal. Currently playing it on my caster character, and it's a fun, easy to build WRE imo. - Syelva
I enjoyed the Thunder Slam LRE for this tank build. the chain lightnings and tslam/lblades were a good aoe pull and st dps addition. Thrall - Lovestozug
nice vid man the build look fun -smalleg

There is a parry sword in dire north i believe?!? Last boss or second to kast boss drops it!!!! - Juigi thrall

That's pretty nice base lvl for sure. Really been enjoying self healing pally / sword n board - Eyedia
i would love to see you do a paly tank build - area 52 murderyoface
you could perhaps in a PvP scenario as troll go Zephyr and Swashbuckler, especially as troll and even martial crescendo with a 1.6 speed mace and perhaps speedy cd's and whatnot only problem is not very tanky.
Wouldn't crackling thunder keep proccing Thundarian Fury so you have it for essentially 100% uptime?
Sadly epic enchants are becoming too plain and numerous and you can't take everything you want. Power levels vary dramatically
Wind slam would be a good substitute for zephyr if you are going one-handed and shield
~Theodeo
Love the s8 coverage. Any plans for an arcane theme build? Ign: GOATMILKERS
build looks cool! i was finally able to get my disciple build kinda done but still looking for a fun healer build. - Narggles
