I just Richard Smith's playing as well as the other personal in this group. Even the guy off to the right strictly strumming is probably so good that I wouldn't believe it. At least compared to the likes of me.
What an amazing "discovery" Richard Smith is for me! I went to his website to see if the guy tours and what do you know, he is going to be in a town next to my little backwards town in Florida - IN INVERNESS NEXT THURSDAY 01/16/2020 - can this Monday get any better????
I now believe in reincarnation. The violin player, Florian Cristea must be Stéphane Grappelli reborn and Bina Coquet is Django Reinhardt re-spawned with all good fingers on his left hand.
Richard Smith from Nashville??? no, Richard Smith from England, which explains many things about his talent. He may now live in Nashville but is an Englishman through and through.
He has lived in Nashville for 20 years. His wife is from there. The music he grew up listening to is from there. I wouldn't be surprised if he considers Nashville his spiritual home.
Is that the 2nd guy from the left? Because I feel like he was missing more notes than actually playing. Definitely outclassed by Richard Smith in my opinion.
I don't understand your comment, given that he's sat next to Richard Smith. Others who leave Bina standing would be Tommy Emmanuel, Joscho Stefan, Bireli Lagrene, Damjan Pejcinoski, Paola Hermosin and any metal shredder.
I take it you mean Richard's nylon string guitar? Every time I've ever seen him, it's always with that Kirk Sand. Probably because it suits his regular style of playing -- thumb/finger pick -- much better, especially with the wider string spacing. He is no stranger to Gypsy Jazz, as he used to play every Thursday night at the Station Inn in Nashville with the Hotclub of Nashville -- John Jorgenson, Bryan Sutton, Charlie Chadwick, Stuart Duncan, et al. Also, seen him back up bluegrass artist with some amazing flatpicking. I think it's easier for him to change styles than it is to change guitars, for whatever occasion presents itself. He can do it all and do it extraordinarily well, but he'll do it with the Sand...guaranteed.
An amazing player, indeed, but also quite an amazing guy, as well. Regardless the amplification, the fact he's playing a nylon string is still evident to the ear of the well attuned. It never really bothered me in the least, nor does it take anything away from his awesome talent. But, apparently it is a bit unsettling to some (Free Shipping Always, above). I can appreciate that, and they can still appreciate the talent, "tone" notwithstanding.
@@Zacharia503 I had to hear a sample to know i didnt like the tone . He is one of my favorite players fyi. Go tell someone else to go do something now.
I love how in the beginning Florian just sits there chilling waiting for his turn to unleash pure jazz glory! Majestic
ANOTHER MARVELOUS RENDITION OF LIMEHOUSE BLUES AS IT IS GREAT WE CAN GO FROM RENDITION TO ANOTHER ON THE NET.
God, I love gypsy jazz. Definitely cannot keep still listening to this rhythym! :)

No, Florian Cristea is better than Stephane Grapelli ever was!
Florian does unbelievable things with the violin. It must be trick audio/video because I saw and heard. I just can't believe it 😂

Ron Ryan yes, I will correct it :)
@@hotclubdepiracicaba On behalf of Richard I thank you.

This is music!
Hey Ron Ryan what does it explain?
Wonderful.
Not exactly a popular genre today to this modern pop generation but hey.... we are still out there and know what major talent is!
Awesome.
Damn!
BRAVO XXX
This is unreal
WAUW!!!
Every body is after aliens from other planets. Here they are!!
Why does richard keep sort of fiddling with the top of his guitar? some problem?
he is adjusting volume or tone of the guitar.

Nunyo Bidness I'm stealing this word and making it mine. 😊
What is the name of this outfit ?
Details in description. Bina Coquet Quartet specifically.
Остро не хватает Томми и Архиповского.
Mmm ok o
Bina Coquet is the fastest guitarist I've seen in my life
You haven't seen stuff man!
@Salvador Dalí I don't listen to much metal because i think its a fairly dishonest music genre. Feel free to recommend me a guitarist thats faster
simplyapollo Shawn Lane

Richard is such a great player, but the guitarsound could be better.
Couldn’t disagree more.
Richard is playing an nylon stringed guitar. Not as harsh a sound as steel strings on an Gypsy guitar. This is a pleasant sound he prefers.
The hutch is a bit copied
I hate that tone.

This video has been sped up. Look at the unnatural, jerky head movements. This sort of deception is sooo unethical.
Well if it is sped up they are in perfect concert pitch.
William Lovelady , well done.
