Thank you all for helping these folks; I'm too old for shovel work, but I've a few dollars to share. Thanks for making it possible to help all the way from Montana. Blessings & Peace to all and to all a good night.
We were just watching another one of Johns videos on how the storm devastated this area. My one comment is, You can tell it isn't a "government job" because there aren't a lot of guys standing around holding up shovels, like all the government jobs do. Good Job Guys, helping people who have no hope other than the help that volunteers are giving. God Bless you all, for helping all you can.
John I hope and pray that ya stay on this it's the only honest reporting there is. Those guys are American Heroes and Jake is one incredible guy. We're continuing our thoughts and prayers for all in the affected areas.
It is really awesome seeing everyone helping out in North Carolina getting things done and i pray that everything will turn out great take care and God Bless You All in NC.☕💓🇺🇲
Some of my favorite memories are when I was stationed at the Coast Guard base in Elizabeth City and traveled often to the Smokies with my roommate back 50 yrs ago. Such a special place, I weep thinking of all that has been lost, but am so thankful to see the goodness in humanity helping to bring the communities back. Thankyou so much for documenting all those helping.
@@theappalachianchannel FYI, I found out about Hart Square Village through your channel and went there last summer and to this year's heritage festival. I love that place.
Hi John , Thank you for your continued documentation, and interviewing the hard working men to restore the bridges that were washed out . Jake from Precision Grading is a amazing person to restore the communities with all his effort and his team. ❤❤
Thanks for taking us along with you John. I have been through 3 FEMA declared floods. I truly understand. The churches and volunteers are the hero's. I am a retired truck driver if Jake needs a driver. Class A CDL. moved heavy equipment and oversize loads. Drive tri and quad dumps. Thanks for the awesome video John.
Praying for NW North Carolina may God comfort all who've lost loved ones and everything, provide your every need, keep you strong to endure and bless yall with a richer future..🙏💔
I'm in the uk, so this may well be a very naive question - is it possible to get mobile saw mills in there and use some of those downed trees to make log cabins for folks who now have no homes? The cold season is coming on so it may not be viable right away, but that loss of green gold and Autumnal beauty could be a solution. Couldn't it? My prayers go out to you all, those in need and those providing aide. 💜 Mother Nature is so powerful.
The logs have to be removed (topography), sorted by size (many too big), let to dry, peeled, transported to sites, not all trees make good cabins. Sounds good… not really practical.
Thank you UK Elizabeth! Great idea. There are groups building small homes in addition to delivering new sheds that are being insulated and living interiors created.
I can't believe those homeowners won't let people cross!! That's sad everyone has been helping and fur them to act this way is not exceptable. Let's hope they don't need a thing!!! Praying for all affected. Thank you to the man that did help let them build a way out. Thank all that have helped people affected. I will pray that those people who arent helping see how horrible they look. What's the big deal letting someone cross your property till they get a solution. Thank the man again who helped
It sounds like the addition is what saved that man and his wife's life. Thank you for videoing this and thank you for the man making the temporary bridge. God bless you all.
Jake is An Angel With Heavy Machinery ❤ And seeing all the Volunteers Theyre hearing the heartbreaking stories Its 💔 and Heartwarming all at the same time Thank U John for Filming whats really going on ther I will continue to send $ to Jake each paycheck so he can keep on doing what needs to be done ❤Gods Blessing and Protection on All Of His Angels 🙏 and Comfort of All those affected in one way or Another
Such a beautiful song opener. I am amazed how regular American citizens are helping rebuild and volunteering! It's awful to say but this natural disaster and destruction has brought so many good people together! Thank you for the updates John. I'm in NH and truly do not know anyone personally in Appalachia but I care and I feel very helpless but want to help. It is terrible these victims can't get payout so they can rebuild. Ive donated cash as much as I can give and will continue watching and donating. God bless everyone. I say my prayers for all of the victims for strength.
Getting to see all the people helping rebuild - using their skills and equipment and willingness to work to help put a stranger's life back together, and know how much of it is made possible by small money donations coming in from all over - you're doing great work documenting it so well, and putting it out. And that song is great.
Great work John getting the stories out, the true stories. God Bless you and all of those wonderful folks volunteering to help our neighbors over the mountain. Love and blessings from East Tennessee.
I've been out in Ashville, and hot springs and other back roads delivering trailer loads of everything we could collect in donations. Every time i met beautiful people that never imagined this could happen to them. Broke and filled my heart to be there. God bless everyone, from Ocoee Tn.
Ty for the journalism and videography/documentation of such a catastrophic event. Everyone there, every donation and every prayer/good energy vibe here IS a model of how Love/Compassion works....in the physical and In Spirit!

Tree fall from gale for winds is mostly splintered for most of the body of the tree. Certainly some useable but not at any reasonable %
Excellent idea!!! Ty
Alot of the logs are toxic from petroleum and sewage and other chemicals plus the bark is full of packed mud they would halft to be cleaned
The logs have to be removed (topography), sorted by size (many too big), let to dry, peeled, transported to sites, not all trees make good cabins. Sounds good… not really practical.
