This is awful weird I think I must have hurt someone's feelings with Google. I don't have that bar where I can comment I have to click on someone else's comment to leave a message. I've heard about confiscation in situations like this from the powers that be. Unfortunately I have to live in a very bad area. Because I couldn't find anyone to rent to me in the calm cool country area. I have a few security devices on my vehicle. Even if they stopped me in traffic while it's running and take my vehicle. If I shut it off it won't start back up. If they shut it off it won't restart back up. You definitely need security on their and tell no one. The powers that be can literally confiscate anything. Here's a thought water is so expensive. A man with an open heavy trailer and a 3/4 ton truck minimum. Can get a few used cheap IBC totes. That have had maple syrup or other food liquids in them online. Haul them down there with some empty ones drop them off. With some cups or empty gallon jugs. They can fill their own water while someone else going and filling the other IBC totes preferably at a mountain water stream. As long as it's not around that area it should be pretty clean. You'll have to treat that water if it sits too long with bleach. And gage it with a pool gauge. Most of those IBC totes have a quarter or half turn valve on the bottom that's important. If it doesn't you might have to buy the valve. Set it up on the side of a concrete wall. And then people can get bigger jugs under there to fill up a pot or something. That's a thought I'd like to go down there and help. but you don't want to go down in a place like that without anybody for backup.

Larger propane tanks are a bit more expensive to purchase but are much cheaper to fill and use than the 1lb pound tanks. But...I'm not really the one to talk to or ask about that.

Every video I’ve seen of the citizens still trapped without power and resources only take the bare minimum from rescuers and say “give it to the next person” it’s honestly flabbergasting. The water literally had no where else to go but where the rivers flowed and sadly a lot of towns were by the rivers. And to be clear, I used to live in Asheville and now live just south of Asheville so am right on the southern edge of the disaster zone. My old house in Asheville got washed away and only has a foundation left.

I was able to fly 35 Honda portable generators from my home in Colorado that were donated by several businesses in my hometown of Telluride Friday and last week on Tuesday I brought 22 Jackery solar generators with a second battery and solar panels that the company donated to me. Im hopefully getting more in the next week or so. Ive been in contact with another solar company and Generac but I haven't gotten an answer yet. It's only been 3 days with both of them and Im pretty sure I might have good news from them. I was able to do 6 fix winged trips from here in Colorado and Wichita with donations that we started bringing on the 2nd and 3rd day. We left after 8 days when they temporarily shut down inbound flights for lack of space until we were able to sort and stage things for the helicopters to deliver. We came back with donations again the day the storm hit in Florida. In 2022 when the floods hit eastern Kentucky we brought in donations on the Tennessee side but there weren't as much help like it going on in North Carolina. Florida airspace is very crowded compared to NC I have a medium size business class jet and am fortunate enough to be able to carry a bit more. You guys are doing great and you're doing an awesome job covering your operation. Im sure I'll be back but not sure when. Stay safe and stay rested as best you can.

I know a young couple with a toddler who lost everything....yet every day they drive to help others all day long...handing out donated water...ect... Not one demonrat...not one!!

Camping supplies, propane powered camper shower. They run $300-400 for a big one that could replace your home shower if you have large drums of clean water. (Bleached, treated, or clean from your source)$200 or so for a small one that runs out of a bucket. Electricity doesn't heat well. If that's all you've got, a motorcycle warmer will work ok in a tent with a 12v battery to make it surviving a night. Electric blankets use more energy. Heating a home with electricity is extremely inefficient. Propane, natural gas, and kerosene are reasonable sources of heat for the cost. Heating oil would be great. "Mr Heater Buddy Heater" makes ventless indoor propane heaters that run off of small cans, or with a hose adaptor, a bigger propane tank. You STILL NEED A CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR. If you have people who are delivering to your area they will likely source it from donations if you ask. If not, jumping on social media would likely help. Wish there was more I could offer. Check tractor supply and Amazon for those camping showers. Home depot might have one too. They run on propane and are very effective. All the best.

Yes they have contracts put into place before disasters and also plans with local governments if they all trained and worked together and the public understood that you have set points that donations and things need to go too and be disrupted out to the people, it would work very well. But in this case doesnt look like from the local government on up and even the public sector nobody was on the same page, if you never taken what is called Incident Command training that all public safety agencies has to take you would all know what I am talking about. There is a way to handle these types of disasters in a much better way

Unfortunately, I think that's why God allows these horrific. Things to happen is because people do forget that God is on this side of heaven working within his children. And we see that in these types of situations and again, it's very sad that it takes such a horrific situation for some of us to realize God is on his throne. We need him and he is there if we open our eyes and see and he's there through those around us. Who are there helping us get through our everyday lives? I had my own personal tragedy that took me to the feet of Jesus and I am sorry for this situation, but I do pray many will come to the foot of the throne and give their lives to Jesus.

The "F" in FEMA. They eventually wander in and "take control" in any disaster, which means bring in all the politics, bureaucracy, and paperwork they possibly can to bring everything to a grinding halt. It's amazing how much got done before FEMA even put their pants on. Now that they've moved in, they've slowed everything down. Yes, someone needs to be coordinating everything, but that does not mean saying no to everyone and pushing out those that are actually helping.
FEMA should be acting in concert and around the needs of the community as an additive/force expanding entity. There is no one better than the locals to know who lives where and the terrain.
They have national guards people who are locals acting as middle men to make things smoother same with local police, firefighters, churches and all kinds. But FEMA is very busy trying to reach the places that are cut of while coordinating military, local gov, volunteers and other agencies moving in with aid. Meanwhile you have truckers, cars, helicopters, planes, of roaders and gods only knows what heading in not talking to them and helping or getting into trouble so that resources has to be diverted to them. And this is messing up their check lists since they also then arrive to places that already received aid and so then entire units of disaster relief waste time that could be spent going to other places. All most people have to do is call up FEMA and say what you bring to the table and where you are in the area and they will just guide you or connect you to nearby locals coordinating stuff.
To all of the Americans helping fellow Americans get through these tough times, thank you. You are all doing wonderful things. Many times of late I have been embarrassed to be an American, not this time though. Seeing how this Country can come together in times of need is very inspiring. Its determination and The American Spirit that will get these people through these terrible times. Thank you all.

These are just mere words. But I can attest, We are incredibly moved by the outpouring of people that are actually doing the heavy lifting. It pains me to idly sit by and just send money to the ground organizations that are doing something, wish I could hands on help. I stand with a Grateful nation, humbly Thanking you! You will be in our prayers and know this Thanksgiving- I will be thankful for people like you. God Bless you.

I am so proud of my governor Ron DeSantis he sent men up there to help even though he knew we had a storm headed in our direction. He knows how important it is to help our neighbors. No matter how near or far they are. Once again he made sure that Florida was taken care of as far as linemen, firemen, and anyone else we needed with this last hurricane. Trump put up about 200 linemen’s in Trump’s Doral hotel (on his dime). Prayers for everyone that has been affected by both of these hurricanes and thank you to Ron for doing another excellent job in helping the people that need it the most.

These folks need every bit of help available. I know for a fact that , when there is an emergency anywhere in the country or even around the world. People from the Carolinas are always willing to respond, and share their resources.

They can’t even get the people to take the supplies. Preachers have been on Facebook begging people to come take supplies so they can fit them in their churches. There are exceptions, I’m sure but, in the small towns, no one will take the supplies. Worried someone else needs it more.

Where’s your Sheriff? He’s the highest law of the land and can run off the Feds. We did that here in Clark County NV in ‘14 when they were closing in on the Bundy ranch. I haven’t heard anyone mention the sheriff yet.
Maybe the sheriff is working with the national guard, hasn't slept in 3 weeks, is working close to round the clock and doesn't have time to micromanage some youtubers who are in there helping out. Maybe the sheriff is actually coordinating with FEMA to get disaster relief funds directed to areas that need it the most for rebuilding infrastructure. This isn't some pricks with nothing better to do but feel butt hurt by the government in Clark NV. Its NC, FL, GA, TN, SC and its a 500 mile wide, 1000 mile long disaster area in very rough terrain with winter coming on. In the case of FL they may have a 3rd hurricane aiming at them. These are people in need of major help from EVERY QUARTER, and FEMA is going to be how the funds get there. The states National Guards are trained and are there helping and protecting their citizens, doing search and recovery. (talk about soul crushing work). The sheriff is standing with his very hurting, very proud, very strong people, I doubt he has time for games.
My family( Iron Men Welding And Fabrication out of Randleman N.C)went to Pensacola NC on Saturday October 12,2024.We took two truck loads of a variety of supplies. It is a small town we had never heard of but mostly consist of retirees. They had within a few days of making a way thru for most people. But I'm telling you pictures do not do it justice. The devistaion we saw was heartbreaking. The stories sone blessings and heartbreaking stories of whole families washed away... gone. They had an abundance of clothes generators food water..all kinds of things. The military from what I gathered from the guy elected to coordinate taking supplies to the residents..mostly elderly.. I must say I did see a handfull of guys that look militaryto me cutting and splittingwood all day ..we spent the day with our side by sides delivering supplies to hard to reach areas...we also trailered in on a half a road that was as sketchy as the road y'all were traveling. Scared the crap out of me. Samaritan's purse had a huge amount of people there working like crazy all day. Bless them for there hard working people. We did not want to leave..there is so much to be done there. Wish we could have done so much more. They need able bodies to work this area most people are elderly. They had more clothes than they needed. They will need more food supplies,gas, desil and propane in the coming days... weeks. Although roads are for the most part, passible, you may only be able to go thru on a side by side or four wheeler . Bless all who are working on that. Bless all who gave and continue to give. Bless all who do what they can. But most of all we pray for all effected by this horrible tragedy 🙏 Bless y'all for taking time out of your life to help your fellow Americans. Doing all we can.

This is awful weird I think I must have hurt someone's feelings with Google. I don't have that bar where I can comment I have to click on someone else's comment to leave a message. I've heard about confiscation in situations like this from the powers that be. Unfortunately I have to live in a very bad area. Because I couldn't find anyone to rent to me in the calm cool country area. I have a few security devices on my vehicle. Even if they stopped me in traffic while it's running and take my vehicle. If I shut it off it won't start back up. If they shut it off it won't restart back up. You definitely need security on their and tell no one. The powers that be can literally confiscate anything.
Here's a thought water is so expensive. A man with an open heavy trailer and a 3/4 ton truck minimum. Can get a few used cheap IBC totes. That have had maple syrup or other food liquids in them online. Haul them down there with some empty ones drop them off. With some cups or empty gallon jugs. They can fill their own water while someone else going and filling the other IBC totes preferably at a mountain water stream. As long as it's not around that area it should be pretty clean. You'll have to treat that water if it sits too long with bleach. And gage it with a pool gauge. Most of those IBC totes have a quarter or half turn valve on the bottom that's important. If it doesn't you might have to buy the valve. Set it up on the side of a concrete wall. And then people can get bigger jugs under there to fill up a pot or something. That's a thought I'd like to go down there and help. but you don't want to go down in a place like that without anybody for backup.

@m.campbell650 I would imagine they would be very helpful, assuming fuel is available, and it will soon start getting uncomfortably cold at night. Larger propane tanks are a bit more expensive to purchase but are much cheaper to fill and use than the 1lb pound tanks. But...I'm not really the one to talk to or ask about that.

@@katiedrew4708 The mountains funneled all the water into the valleys and right into towns that were built by a water source hundreds of years ago. The water literally had no where else to go but where the rivers flowed and sadly a lot of towns were by the rivers. And to be clear, I used to live in Asheville and now live just south of Asheville so am right on the southern edge of the disaster zone. My old house in Asheville got washed away and only has a foundation left.

I was able to fly 35 Honda portable generators from my home in Colorado that were donated by several businesses in my hometown of Telluride Friday and last week on Tuesday I brought 22 Jackery solar generators with a second battery and solar panels that the company donated to me. Im hopefully getting more in the next week or so. Ive been in contact with another solar company and Generac but I haven't gotten an answer yet. It's only been 3 days with both of them and Im pretty sure I might have good news from them. I was able to do 6 fix winged trips from here in Colorado and Wichita with donations that we started bringing on the 2nd and 3rd day. We left after 8 days when they temporarily shut down inbound flights for lack of space until we were able to sort and stage things for the helicopters to deliver. We came back with donations again the day the storm hit in Florida. In 2022 when the floods hit eastern Kentucky we brought in donations on the Tennessee side but there weren't as much help like it going on in North Carolina. Florida airspace is very crowded compared to NC I have a medium size business class jet and am fortunate enough to be able to carry a bit more. You guys are doing great and you're doing an awesome job covering your operation. Im sure I'll be back but not sure when. Stay safe and stay rested as best you can.

Camping supplies, propane powered camper shower. They run $300-400 for a big one that could replace your home shower if you have large drums of clean water. (Bleached, treated, or clean from your source)$200 or so for a small one that runs out of a bucket.
Electricity doesn't heat well. If that's all you've got, a motorcycle warmer will work ok in a tent with a 12v battery to make it surviving a night. Electric blankets use more energy. Heating a home with electricity is extremely inefficient.
Propane, natural gas, and kerosene are reasonable sources of heat for the cost. Heating oil would be great.
"Mr Heater Buddy Heater" makes ventless indoor propane heaters that run off of small cans, or with a hose adaptor, a bigger propane tank. You STILL NEED A CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTOR.

Yes they have contracts put into place before disasters and also plans with local governments if they all trained and worked together and the public understood that you have set points that donations and things need to go too and be disrupted out to the people, it would work very well. But in this case doesnt look like from the local government on up and even the public sector nobody was on the same page, if you never taken what is called Incident Command training that all public safety agencies has to take you would all know what I am talking about. And we see that in these types of situations and again, it's very sad that it takes such a horrific situation for some of us to realize God is on his throne. They have national guards people who are locals acting as middle men to make things smoother same with local police, firefighters, churches and all kinds. But FEMA is very busy trying to reach the places that are cut of while coordinating military, local gov, volunteers and other agencies moving in with aid.
Meanwhile you have truckers, cars, helicopters, planes, of roaders and gods only knows what heading in not talking to them and helping or getting into trouble so that resources has to be diverted to them.
And this is messing up their check lists since they also then arrive to places that already received aid and so then entire units of disaster relief waste time that could be spent going to other places. All most people have to do is call up FEMA and say what you bring to the table and where you are in the area and they will just guide you or connect you to nearby locals coordinating stuff.

I am so proud of my governor Ron DeSantis he sent men up there to help even though he knew we had a storm headed in our direction. He knows how important it is to help our neighbors. No matter how near or far they are. Once again he made sure that Florida was taken care of as far as linemen, firemen, and anyone else we needed with this last hurricane. Trump put up about 200 linemen’s in Trump’s Doral hotel (on his dime). thank you for helping those in need. i can't understand why FEMA is getting in the way of neighbors helping neighbors.....i do understand that there are people who would try to take advantage of those going thru this terrible situation.....i am glad there are others that are true Americans helping others.

they arent. people just love to hate on the government and its easier to spread nasty rumor, gossip and misinformation than to actually a)go in there and work their asses off in the relief effort or b) educate themselves about how emergency management actually works on a colossal scale (and this is colossal). FEMA is there giving small amounts of emergency aid, while being threatened by self proclaimed militias with guns who are angry (guns and anger, great mix). and trying to get people signed up so they can get grants. the 750 does not have to be paid back. any later grants or loans will need to be paid back.

Mr Gentry, I've seen your rigs on the highway numerous times in the south since I'm a traveling Boilermaker & on behalf of all the American citizens y'all are helping I would like to say thank you,Y'all are a snapshot of what True AMERICANS are.
These folks need every bit of help available. I know for a fact that , when there is an emergency anywhere in the country or even around the world. People from the Carolinas are always willing to respond, and share their resources.

They can’t even get the people to take the supplies. Preachers have been on Facebook begging people to come take supplies so they can fit them in their churches. There are exceptions, I’m sure but, in the small towns, no one will take the supplies. Worried someone else needs it more.
It's awesome how everyone has come together to help! My only advice about fema..... document everything!!... especially what is donated. I love my state! That's why Tennessee is called the volunteer state. No matter what happens we got each other's backs!! 💪🏼🇺🇸❤️
Where’s your Sheriff? He’s the highest law of the land and can run off the Feds. We did that here in Clark County NV in ‘14 when they were closing in on the Bundy ranch. I haven’t heard anyone mention the sheriff yet.
Maybe the sheriff is working with the national guard, hasn't slept in 3 weeks, is working close to round the clock and doesn't have time to micromanage some youtubers who are in there helping out. Maybe the sheriff is actually coordinating with FEMA to get disaster relief funds directed to areas that need it the most for rebuilding infrastructure. This isn't some pricks with nothing better to do but feel butt hurt by the government in Clark NV. Its NC, FL, GA, TN, SC and its a 500 mile wide, 1000 mile long disaster area in very rough terrain with winter coming on. In the case of FL they may have a 3rd hurricane aiming at them. These are people in need of major help from EVERY QUARTER, and FEMA is going to be how the funds get there. The states National Guards are trained and are there helping and protecting their citizens, doing search and recovery. (talk about soul crushing work). The sheriff is standing with his very hurting, very proud, very strong people, I doubt he has time for games.

My family( Iron Men Welding And Fabrication out of Randleman N.C)went to Pensacola NC on Saturday October 12,2024.We took two truck loads of a variety of supplies. It is a small town we had never heard of but mostly consist of retirees. They had within a few days of making a way thru for most people. But I'm telling you pictures do not do it justice. The devistaion we saw was heartbreaking. The stories sone blessings and heartbreaking stories of whole families washed away... gone. They had an abundance of clothes generators food water..all kinds of things. The military from what I gathered from the guy elected to coordinate taking supplies to the residents..mostly elderly.. I must say I did see a handfull of guys that look militaryto me cutting and splittingwood all day ..we spent the day with our side by sides delivering supplies to hard to reach areas...we also trailered in on a half a road that was as sketchy as the road y'all were traveling. Scared the crap out of me. Samaritan's purse had a huge amount of people there working like crazy all day. Bless them for there hard working people. We did not want to leave..there is so much to be done there. Wish we could have done so much more. They need able bodies to work this area most people are elderly. They had more clothes than they needed. They will need more food supplies,gas, desil and propane in the coming days... weeks. Although roads are for the most part, passible, you may only be able to go thru on a side by side or four wheeler . Bless all who are working on that. Bless all who gave and continue to give. Bless all who do what they can. But most of all we pray for all effected by this horrible tragedy 🙏 Bless y'all for taking time out of your life to help your fellow Americans. Doing all we can.
