Another amazing video Mons. It really inspired me and gave me another view of Kinnan. I might even build it after I've seen and heard what Higher had to say about this deck. Great job, awesome stuff! Keep these videos coming!
Mirage Mirror is so dope. Basically adds like haste feel to your big fatties. Imagine flipping into Blighted steel and then tapping 2/ to have MM copy and swing 11 infect trample the same turn. A lot of times your opponent doesn’t have time to react. Or if you have lightning greaves out that’s two players under duress.
I used to have a deck like this with kinna that played almost the same creatures where it relied on his activations to win and it did very well. People had a hard time stopping it , but I ended up breaking it down to go for the top tier kinnan version that won the cedh tournament a few months back the kinna house of mirrors. The only issue with this style of deck was the uncertainty of his activation on what you’ll get . When the deck takes off you’ll literally have a play mat top to bottom of permanents. Super fun
I started messing around with a list similar to this just cutting void winnower and mangle horn for more basalt tutors. I really like this stompy variant and I honestly feel like it's better than the other versions that are up on the ddb right now. This variant still has the fast closing speed but now has a stronger midrange package + better weapons against stax
I've been playing kinnan-bonder-prodigy since it came out and built it over Pandemic time and stimulus money. But the thing with this deck is even budget built can hurt but mine is like a 9. Can turn 3 or turn 5
I’m wondering with that new Ulvenwald Behemoth that gives all your creatures Trample/Haste if that plus Nylea makes a better 2 creature combo for Kinnan. They are both 4cmc non human creatures, it costs 7mana to transform Ulvenwald Oddity to Behemoth but by that time you would have gone infinite.

@@niblestherag3829 That’s true. However at any point that I can make infinite mana, I will win thassa, finale of devastation, or playing out my entire deck and destroying my opponents permanents and passing with a handful of counterspells. I can’t understate how important being able to activate kinnan into a creature is. At least in the this deck.
I'm not understanding the basalt + mirage mirror thing to go infinite with kinnan. Your explanation doesn't really work for someone not in the know....
When you have infinit mana. You can activat Mirage mirror infinitly. But once it resolve for the first time you can't activat it again. So what you need to do is make infinut activations on the stack of different things. So first it will become a tropical island. You tap it for 1 green. Then it will become a basalt. Now on the stack it is going to become a tropical island again. In respons to that you untapp it with basalt monoliths ability. Then you let it resolve and it becomes a tropical island again. Now on the stack it is going to become a basalt monolit again. But in respons you tap it for 1 blue mana. Then you let it become a basalt monolit. Repeat. You need to imagen an infinit stack of mirage mirror activations where it target a tropical island then target a basalt then target a tropical island. And it just sits there and swap between the two.
I can really appreciate how more "humble" cards like Basalt Monolith and Mirage Mirror get to shine in this deck. Amazing content as always.
Love this take on Kinnen! Seems like a blast!

What an amazing deck. It seems to has it all. Makes me feel all fuzzy inside
super fun video in general, what a charismatic guest!
Always good to see Higher
Cool video. Ending is the blast!
Its nice to the flexibility of kinnan. Awesome deck!

I can relate about removing the wincons. Dont think my playgroup will notice. As soon as I go infinite colored mana, they scoop it up, lol.
Amazing outro, great video!
Cant wait to give this a watch.
I'd love to se Meren next.
No plans for it actually but you never know.
I took all the beaters out and put in force of nature, crawl worm and other dumb biggies and still beat my friends in casual with kenny
The best Channel. =)
its the "stompy fat boys" deck of my dreams

That is a lot of mana to give all your creatures hast and trample in a format where you don't really need trample and hast that much.
Infinite colorless mana with Mirage Mirror copying a land and copying the basalt in response consecutive times can filter the mana into color
Correct that is the trick.
I have been hit by the turn 3 void winnower before from Higher :(
That hurts.
You say Lurking Predators is in the deck, but it's not on the list?
He might have changed his list over time. It was in the list when we did the video.

Where is walking ballista O.o?
That just dies from kinnan. But you know might better as a finisher then Thassas. I will tell higher.
Good question. Answer.. Can't flip into with kinnan.
@@LateKnightsMTG no, but with infinite mana and thrasion u can play ballista with infinite X/X, is a wincon🚀
