Great video Wally! The priority for the WT has always been to buy up real estate and build, build, build (with free labor). It’s been this way for decades. This is where most of their money goes. They can’t be bothered to spend the donations they receive on actually helping the very people they coerce into emptying their wallets.
A few years back my PIMI sister sent me a link to check out. Apparently the organization had equipment that had been used for relief work after floods. Shop vacs, brooms, shovels, wheel barrows, mops and buckets, ect. One of the larger items was a bulldozer. The organization was going to auction these items off. Before they had the auction, they were allowing witnesses the "opportunity" to buy these items. Most of these items were junk, used and wore out. My sister was so proud that the organization was allowing the brothers and sisters to purchase these items before going up for public auction. "What a loving provision from Jehovah's Organization." 😳 Really? Why would you pay for something you already paid for to begin with? Your donations paid for those supplies. Why wouldn't the organization do the more loving thing and just give these items to anyone that wanted them? The reason given for the sale was because the organization didn't want to pay for the storage of the items and the shipping of the bulldozer. I saw this as an insult. The organization figured the brothers and sisters would jump at the opportunity to purchase these items just because they are getting them first before being offered to "the world".
I would imagine that most , if not all of that equipment was donated to the society by brothers who had worked on other projects . Again a profit making event for the society .
Exactly, they provide very little aid, they buy materials in bulk. They get free labor, and they often times take insurance checks from those who have lost their homes checks that include the estimated cost of materials and labor meaning watchtower at the very least, makes their money back, if not, makes more money providing “ Charity”
We all know the Watchtower won't donate any money to aid the world. They don't do humanitarian work. I recall my father brought his study to the hall once. This guy was in bad health. One of the elders mentioned "spiritual food" during the meeting. After the meeting the study asked my dad where the food was. Then my dad had to explain what "spiritual food" meant. Anyway, the study passed away a few weeks later. No one showed concern for his health. They just wanted to get him in the Hall so that he could eventual donate to them.
That's not even $2 per JW in charity. They should've been embarrassed to publish that. I know JWs that went to Catholic Charities to get their rent and/or utilities paid, but Watchtower's charity was enough to buy 2 packs of Ramen noodles.
When there's a natural disaster, such as the earthquake in Haiti, watchtower did send help but told the brothers to forward the insurance money to Bethel, New York. So they make a profit by getting JWs free volunteer Labour, and getting market price from the insurance for the repairs. Watchtower is not a charity, it's a business.
Coming from a big family, as kids we were always struggling. But yet mom and dad always had money to donate. Didn't know how much but nonetheless money was donated. Especially at the two day assembly days. It always seemed odd when they read the accounts report of how much it cost to run a two day program in a building they owned. Does toilet paper, water and electricity really amount up to this deficit we were ALWAYS in??? It was all put into prospective ones the elder body told my mom to source out the local food bank. Never ever again did they get a dime from me. Can't speak for my parents but to me it was a huge wake up call! It didn't take long after that for me to do a lot of research about this organization. To cement my findings into my brain I returned a long time ago back to the assembly hall just to find debit machines at the back of the lunchroom. It's all about the mighty dollar and always has been.
... It hit me while as a pioneer i was put into a homeless shelter and told to go ask the government to help me, because the CO was coming in 5 months and the elder wanted to host him instead of allow a disabled woman and her daughter stay in a tent for rent, rather than be abused by her husband.... I had been invited to the "special" school .. Unfortunately, i had given a majority of my time, health and disability payments.... So i had NOTHING for that rainy day.. I was told that at this stage in the game, we cannot expect kindness or love.. I said funny, i thought that WAS THE IDENTIFYING MARK.... I did not give them a bad name... They did, by allowing a disabled woman go to a shelter for abuse, rather than be helped by the "charitable org"... How in the world to you make that ok?!🤔🙄

@Carlos Alejandro It’s so funny coming to the comment section & seeing that no matter where an ex JW came from, all of us say the same thing about being in a deficit at the Circuit Assembly. Right there with you! I remember always feeling like anti-jws and ex-jws were so hostile and were spreading lies. Even when I was physically out, I was still very much repelled by "apostates". But once I opened up my mind to realizing that the horrible experiences I had were not a fluke of an otherwise happy loving organization, but that of a lie, a long con for money and power and that nothing I ever believed was real. They were so accepting and loving in a way the witnesses never were. They comforted me on reddit when the witnesses abandoned me. They validated the abuse I endured when the witnesses looked away. It's so funny how the true brotherly love I finally experienced was among those who woke up and left and never once in the folds of the cult.
SERIOUSLY?!?!? $12M divided by 200 disasters is an average of $60K per disaster. That’s NOTHING!!! Absolutely disgusted. I never felt comfortable donating because of the lack of transparency. I stopped completely when I learned of the high $$ payouts to CSA.
Watchtower tells congregations to give to their neighboring congregations that are going through disasters and then they swoop in and take credit for gje local congregations generosity. They did it in the latest g.b. update. Love your videos, Wally. Make sure to take good care of yourself.
During Covid I was still living with my mom when her congregation called and asked if they could store some bulk food items that they stocked up on in an extra bedroom in her house “just in case”. She said sure and that food sat for a year untouched. Then some of our local congregations received boxes of food from the government and handed them out. In December they picked up the bulk items and took them elsewhere but those items were never distributed among the friends. Yes they did reach out to see if we needed anything and fortunately I was financially sound enough (due to my evil worldly career 🙄) that we told them we were fine so I’m not bashing the local brothers who on an individual level most likely cared. I say all this to say that even the charity that was displayed wasn’t even FROM the organization, it was from the flippen government! You know, that horrid institution that apparently hates the witnesses, that institution that the witnesses actively don’t support but benefit from…
😂 that institution that is coming after them and being spurred on by Satan to bring them down. Oh, that’s right, that system is coming after them because they don’t really obey the law. Laws and common sense like those regarding child sexual abuse. The laws that are primarily based on “morals” and “justice”.
Its crazy I personally know elderly JW's who stand in line at Church food banks in disguise because the org has no charities for the poor and needy. 4 years ago I personally had a major operation and was out of work for 8 months they bought me 1 dinner with a handfull of Watchtowers and Awakes. I had a nurse who had to take care of me daily she personally use to bring meals.
@MorSermons I will repay says the Lord. They're losing money because of their rules, they're keeping their people poor, and asking for more donations... the heck with the people outside the cult. It's not a good thing at all.
@Vusi Mngomezulu Christians do not preach about the jw's. We preach Christ crucified. 1Cor 15:1-4. Without being saved by Jesus you're eternity will be in 🔥🔥. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life my friend. You cannot have paradise without Jesus. It's all in the Bible. 🍃✝️🍃⚘️
It’s a numbers game to them and their followers are just that! I remember my JW cousin was trying to rope me back into the Org. and talking about how they brought food and all the nice things they bent over backwards for people in the congregation. I had less than $50 to get me thru the next 2 weeks and I just got met with just “that’s just too bad”. They don’t have soup kitchens or clothing drives like catholic charities whose help I have used. With the baby formula shortage in the USA I saw several churches have signs saying they were handing formula and diapers to those in need no questions asked.
I am a Latter-day Saint from Poland. If not for the Church, I would be still staying with my abusive parents. The Church rented out a house for me and continues to pay my living expenses. And similar things are being done for around a dozen of members of my small congregation. Furthermore, I was given a task of collecting a data about Ukrainian refugees in Poland being helped by the Church in Poland. At least at the beginning only around 40 percent of those being helped were Church members. Rest were people having nothing to do with the Church.
1 football player can raise more than that in a few days - 200 disasters don't happen in one day - but in the span of years. $12m in an org that boasts it has millions of members? Sad. Very sad.
I just can't get over how Lett looks so much like an animatronic character. Like the Hall of Presidents at Disneyland. Like he was made by someone who thought they knew what a person was supposed to look like, but got it wrong
In all the years that I was associated with the witnesses . I can't recall even once , where we live in an area that in our state is known nationally as being in "Tornado Alley " where hi wind damage has been calculated into the billions annually , have the brothers been called to help out with any of our worldly neighbors in or with any form of humanitarian aid . Even among the witnesses , if there is a need , say monetarily to an elderly or needy sister , the elders first turn to any of their relatives , making them feel , no demanding them to give what is needed first . But as one would expect , if there is a new or remodeling job needed on a kingdom hall , or assembly hall , even maintenance , how freely does the society call upon the brothers and sisters to provide what ever is needed in free labor , and at times with materials needed to perform the necessary work . All free of course ,on a project that the society owns outright , with absolutely no regards to what any of the brothers or sisters feel about selling it . Any vote taken at the meeting has already been decided before hand , making this an appearance of doing Gods will ? .... pretty much a sham . As the old witnesses saying goes.....A little Theocratic Warfare Deceit Goes a Long Way.....and Why Loose It , When You Can Use It.
Spot on. 25 years in this cult and never did I ever see ANY charity whatsoever. Not even to congregation members. We built our kingdom hall ourselves, but it did not belong to us. It belongs to the society. Any time charity was needed within the congregation - it was given voluntarily by the brothers and sisters in the congregation, NEVER from the organisation. If there was no one who could help, well too bad for you. Go to the Catholic church charity shop and soup kitchen ☹
It says they spent nearly $12 million in relief, yet they just spent $27 million on buying a Geico office on 20 acres. Maybe it is for when the princes of Israel are resurrected in Woodbury, NY 😂
Helps put the whole thing into perspective doesn’t it! Why are they hoarding all this money. They can’t take it with them to Heaven with they are taken to kill people and rule over the leftovers. It won’t be useable in the ‘new system’. Why not use it now!
I agree for what your saying Wally . That was the thing I had to find from the organisation to have concern to the members from the great governance of elders. But that's the hurtful thing all members working voluntarily for the sake of pleasing God to preach the goodnews. Untill they die no support even for food for the workers what more for the living of the family members the organization don't care for whats the members had suffer but what they should do is to follow the doctrine.
The congregation my father attends has not used its Kingdom Hall for coming up to 4 years. It needs new roof trusses and ceiling. Yet the congregation ppl are paying 400 a month out of their own pockets to rent the bowling clubs premises. This kingdom hall purchased by the congregation, built by the congregation, the loan paid in full by the congregation is owned by the 8 nutters called the GB who run the WTBTS. Imagine owning an organisation, that compulsory acquires real estate world wide, built by volunteers, paid for by volunteers. Now thats a high income no outlay business. WTBTS IS WORTH 16 PLUS BILLION DOLLARS. PLUS SHARES IN WELLS FARGO, PFIZER, LOCKHEED MARTIN. TOBACCO AND ALCOHOL COMPANIES.
Hi Rick. Where can we find the info on their share holdings ? A useful thing to drop into a chat with a JW cart witness that the Watchtower hold shares in defence companies when they themselves are against military service etc
Thanks Rick , Its enough to make you mad at the scam , run by the WT . Don't let it get you down ....... they will pay for their sins in time . God bless you .
They demand total allegiance and offer nothing but a ‘promise’ of better to come. You know you can never get any help at all, even the kind hearted within are so Tim of their feet they don’t have time to help and most are dirt poor anyway.
I like how your videos dissect and show folks how to critically think, question and show them what they may have always been thinking. It's good that your videos aren't hating etc but very educational. Well done
Watchtower have a secret meeting with the Norwegian government and say how much money do you want to overlook this problem and they will give them a number and watchtower will give them that amount of money.
Sickens me but I know it’s true. It’s the culture of JW’s of “every man for himself” and whatever the local volunteer contributions can help. I’ve known PLENTY of witnesses that utilize church-based charities, many times directed to do so. But come Sunday those evil, satan-directed charities will be vilified in every public talk. JW’s have an incredible sense of entitlement.
It's awful how they treat people. It's always about the money and yet they claim do not worship two masters. Yeah right. I hope your mother is doing better now, Sheila. ❤❤
Hello Sheila. I extend my sympathy to you and your Mum. I hope that she has somewhere to go that's dry and comfy. I also hope that her home was insured.
Wally, that is an amazing point!! Also, the recent purchase of the Geico building for I think $28 million in New Jersey is raising a lot of eyebrows. The GB is becoming so greedy yet trying to still sound so generous to their members, their greed is catching up with them!! The past several years of their real estate activity shows this. The GB thinks they outsmart people yet their greed is making them look stupid now. This HAS to start making some of the flock ask why they are nagged to donate donate donate just so their beloved GB buys up real estate property they don't need????
the humanitarian aid was the one thing i would give the organisation props for, but to see how it's not at all impressive in comparison to other institutions' charitable efforts? thanks so much for the eye-opener!
Absolutely!! They are experts at utilizing every financial and legal opportunity, “ this system “ offers. I think they think themselves very clever. They definitely have not put-on the New PERSONALITY that they constantly admonish the rank and file to do. They’re just another selfish, self-seeking, greedy corporate shark in this supposed doomed world. How they have the audacity to discourage lowly JW’s from seeking the same avenues to better their life conditions is criminal. It’s the biggest red flag that this organization is nothing but a mind-controlling cult. Historically, every oppressive government and religious group follows the same formula. It’s nothing new. Yeah… but they’re no part of this world???
What they don't tell you is that they had to spend that money to emergency relief because it was given to them from the UN, WEF and WHO organizations for that specific purpose, watchtower gave out the minimum and kept the rest for organizational running cost funds...
That is one of my arguments with my family in El Salvador. They never got any help from their congregations during the pandemic. But one thing they did...was sold their bethel in San Salvador for $12 million American dollars. That is not counting the kingdom halls solds during the pandemic. And not one cent was used for their brothers and sisters. Yes they did fix and build some kingdom halls but none was use for their people.
What a load of rubbish. Why don’t the have open financial declaration? If they had nothing to hide all financials would be published. Even when I was a JW I decided if they can’t tell me how my donations are spent I refuse to donate.
Says it all really. In a modern day application of the parable of the Good Samaritan it’s not hard to see that the JWs are the ones crossing to the other side.
I think it's worse thah you state.I think they make a net gain. For instance when a kingdom hall is damaged, I'm sure they have insurance. When they make a big show of repairing JWs houses when disaster strikes (using free labour and discounted materials due to RBC) It's expected that you're going to have to 'donate' the insurance cheque when it comes through! It's always about the bottom line. Anyone else noticed how fat some of the GB are at the moment? I bet they didn't get that way by using foodbanks..like a lot of their members are
They also have all those shleppers who volunteer to build and fix the Kingdom Halls - for free. Am wondering why they are so tight fisted when their world 🌎 anyday is about to implode, while they are dance around beautiful ponds with green lawns and butterflies. Is this new Watchtower Heaven going to need cashoola 💰?
60% of the relief went to air travel..accommodation for the brothers and buying equipment (that was later sold)…and miscellaneous expenses(McCallan’s) I’m kidding….. but that is what happens here in Oz with bushfire appeals… they keep most of the dedicated donations. One org here collected c.50mill$$$ specifically donated to help fire victims.. they kept over half of the cash and 18 months after the fire families were still living in caravans on their burnt out properties.
Great video. It's also important to note that the "charitable funds" that Watchtower claims it spent on contructing new Kingdom Halls are actually loans that congregations pay back to Watchtower. Also, as a former Bethelite, I was able to see first hand how some of those funds were used to give Bethelites laughable montly stipends.
" Are donation also go to the GB's cars and trips around the world, the swimming pools and tennis courts at HQ Bethel, the GB and their wives health and dental care. Jehovah has clearly blessed us with your donations, keep the money coming in folks this will show your personal loyalty and allegiance to Jehovah's chosen earthly organization.
12 million over 200 disasters is literally nothing. To put this in perspective, that's an average of $60,000 per disaster. In the US, an average kitchen remodel is around $60k.
When they helped the victims after hurricane Katrina, rebuild their homes.. WT, wanted their homeowners insurance that would have covered their damages. When you think about it, you know all their properties are covered by insurance.. which would include labor costs.. ( which doesn’t cost them ).
Great job Wally, this is the exact type of truth's the watchtower needs to be exposed for, they have enough money to free at least there own members from poverty and famine for the rest of there existing lifetimes as well as there children and grandchildren. They could literally pull there spiritual paradise into current reality, imagine the great teaching example of there god's love they could display to the rest of the world
We also know for a fact that they do not help non-believers at all and that *IIRC* any help believers DO recieve is mostly if not entirely voltuneer powered. They MUST be getting most/all of the money spent figure from rebuilding their properties. Very little if any goes to getting members back up on their feet.
I recently checked out what the charity commission for England and Wales has to say about the JWs. They sold off tons of long term assets between 2019 and 2021 and made $150 million off of whatever it was. Their "own assets" and "long term assets" decreased by 30% and 91% respectively while their "short term assets" aka cash increased by 154% up to $254 million. And all of that is just in England and Wales I believe...
I looked at one of the charity reports on UK charity commission as well and you can spot that monies from sold Kingdom Halls flows into the main charity.
The Circuit Overseers r taken care of by the congregation. There’s the TOAA fund (Traveling Overseer Assistance Arrangement). That’s a dedicated amount/yr from each congregation. Also, the circuit passes resolutions to take care of the housing for the C.O. The Branch takes care of some things, but the congregation takes cares the vast majority of C.O living. I know this, b/c I gave a local needs talk on donating to the C.O during their visit b/c I was floored by how little their allowance is, & the lack of help they actually get directly.
You can not request a statement. That is shady. Don't forget all the wear and tear and fuel as use your car. Then the contribution box, where does that money go? You will never know. That is what scammers do.
I'm just an interested observer, never been a JW but get visits, as most of us do. I was really shocked that members of JW's, during Covid, didn't get help but were told to go to food banks. Surely they could've helped their members out.
My mother over the years has given thousands and thousand of dollars to the WT. She’s now totally broke and can’t pay rent. When she went to the elders for help, they emailed her a list of several links to government assistant websites that the WT had given elders to provide to the congregation for those in need. True story. Utterly disgusting.
Unfortunately to them, using their money to fund their own stuff is the same as humanitarian work because their work "benefits the whole earth". Just not right now. lol
And if they're not being deceitful about humanitarian aid, why wouldn't they show videos from around the world of them actually helping those who suffer? They like showing videos of building places of worship
Question: if we are contributing to the construction of Kingdom Halls worldwide the why don’t Kingdom Halls in Africa look more comparable to those in the US and Europe?
They don't even help their 'brothers and sisters'. In 25 years in this cult I never once saw a single act of charity toward a struggling member. The only help was from congregation members from their own time and funds. Never a cent from the organisation. Not in a million years would they even consider helping non JW's in the local community! It's actually a joke they call themselves 'charitable'. 🤪

It’s so funny coming to the comment section & seeing that no matter where an ex JW came from, all of us say the same thing about being in a deficit at the Circuit Assembly. That’s wild to me. Love your channel... I recently woke up and I'm glad for the support of the online community, even though nothing makes sense anymore!
Many times I heard elders saying - we are not humanitarian organization! Don't ask as for help.
So 200 disasters, 12 million spent for an average of $60,000 per disaster? Yikes
They just bought a building in Long Island NY for 27 million
Upping their understanding. Now they have been exposed. Banned them for their ugly practices.

Agree
The laws that are primarily based on “morals” and “justice”.
great information bringing out the deceitfulness of the Org.
Their "disaster relief work" is just another one of their business ventures.

Just goes to show you where the noble christian efforts to really help those in need are coming from , How embarrassing for the WT .
Sad. Very sad.

Never will you hear from any platform, WT publication or broadcast, how many millions of your donation dollars are going to settle CSA lawsuits.
Amanda you might be right , because they sold Beth Sarim in San Diego years ago .
I love your thinking! Let’s get the ball rolling!
I fixed my own roof this summer, I guess that makes me a humanitarian 🤣🤣.

Thanks Wally, another reminder of why it was time to get out. It’s not a charity at all.
They do the bare minimum to keep up the facade of being a charity so they can continue to reap the secular benefits for themselves.
It's all about jw prospering when it comes to giving.
Having been on the LDC I can tell you that the 12 million went to their own buildings
right on: playing with numbers to look good.
The only reason that they would possibly be able to get away with what they’re doing is, if they’re part of the “system”.
Yes they did fix and build some kingdom halls but none was use for their people.
so sad!
Excellent coverage Wally!!
just the ice cream money the kids give to the church probly is more than 12 million.
I bet they didn't get that way by using foodbanks..like a lot of their members are
This!
60% of the relief went to air travel..accommodation for the brothers and buying equipment
(that was later sold)…and miscellaneous expenses(McCallan’s)
I’m kidding….. but that is what happens here in Oz with bushfire appeals… they keep most of the dedicated donations.
This organization loves money

Great job Wally, this is the exact type of truth's the watchtower needs to be exposed for, they have enough money to free at least there own members from poverty and famine for the rest of there existing lifetimes as well as there children and grandchildren. They could literally pull there spiritual paradise into current reality, imagine the great teaching example of there god's love they could display to the rest of the world

Hi Wally and invisible Zeezy, They say charity begins at home, so that's where WT keeps the money 💵 💵
We also know for a fact that they do not help non-believers at all and that *IIRC* any help believers DO recieve is mostly if not entirely voltuneer powered. They MUST be getting most/all of the money spent figure from rebuilding their properties. Very little if any goes to getting members back up on their feet.
Excellent info Wally!
Well done. Good dive 10 out of 10 you nailed it this time. Fantastic.
Also, it says ‘nearly’ 12 million.
How much of that went to repair places for folks who turn over their insurance?
So they spent a 1.50 per publisher 😂😂😂😂
I recently checked out what the charity commission for England and Wales has to say about the JWs. They sold off tons of long term assets between 2019 and 2021 and made $150 million off of whatever it was. Their "own assets" and "long term assets" decreased by 30% and 91% respectively while their "short term assets" aka cash increased by 154% up to $254 million. And all of that is just in England and Wales I believe...
I looked at one of the charity reports on UK charity commission as well and you can spot that monies from sold Kingdom Halls flows into the main charity.
Aren't you happy to be out of the cult Colin? LOL Good things to come ;)
Wasn’t it there where they had many high-end residential properties they were selling? There was a website that showed them.
