  • Welcome to the second part in the series about doll wig making using hot glue. This method of wig making creates waterproof, washable wigs and there are no smelly toxic glues involved.
    I'm trying to make shorter videos more often, so I'm breaking this vast topic into a series. Sorry for ending this one a bit abruptly, the third part with how to make partings and natural hairline is soon to follow! Looking forward to your feedback! Please like and subscribe to support our fledgling channel!
    To learn more about my art dolls or to order a doll wig (I can do any doll I have in my collection, so ask, or you can send me a head to model the wig on) visit my website: www.inamoratadolls.com

    Thank you so, SO much for these! I'm making my first artdoll based off a character I really like. He has short, slicked back hair, and I had barely found anything on natural hairlines. Those help a lot (: I will be making some tests, especially since short hair does indeed seem more difficult... and if it doesn't work, well, at least I learnt a lot!
    Your dolls look absolutely stunning, and it's a pleasure to watch! I love all the dedication you put into this art form, all the attention to detail, and that you show the "mess ups" as well. No matter how professional something ends up looking, they're always bound to happen, and learning to work with and fix mistakes is an integral part of any art process I believe. Not all people making tutorials over here show those parts of it.
    Also totally feel you with trying to record and not paying attention to the camera when you get immersed 🤣 Anyways, thank you so very much. These are invaluable 💖

    I can’t wait to see your next video, I’ve been trying different ways to make wigs and I really like your technique, so much less waiting for glue to dry. I can’t wait to give it a try, I just need to get two way stretch fabric.

    • @EmiliaCouture
      @EmiliaCouture  3 года назад

      I tried many glues too but they took ages to dry and the horrid chemical fumes triggered my asthma. Hot glue is really easy and fast. You can use even tricot as the cap fabric, but I find netting fabric is easier to soak through with the glue.

      😂 I kept saying tire instead of tier in the voice over, and even after several takes one tire still crept into the final video, and I was too tired to set up the recording gear and redo the take.

    • @EmiliaCouture
      @EmiliaCouture  3 года назад

      Sure, but I've accumulated them all over the place. Bought a lot in Moscow doll salon, mostly I just get them from Etsy. I just didn't want to promote any seller above another. I guess I should make a video about the materials too.

      That's weird. I've mostly been happy with the quality, although one custom order blue faded grey over time.
