  • Every doll design in a compromise between aesthetics and poseability. Some like solid sculptures and some robotic joints that allow extortionist levels of movement. Inamorata is designed with lingerie in mind, so most torso joints can be hidden by skimpiest of underwear. However, most Inamorata joints are not slitted ball joints like traditional BJD have, but odd shapes with fisheye shaped holes, and hidden joints, that are designed to perform a certain task with minimum visible mechanics.
This video introduces the different hidden joints of the third generation athletic Inamorata dolls, how to pose the dolls and troubleshoot common problems in BJD poseability. We start with posing for close up portraits and graduate to free standing and yoga poses. Enjoy the journey and please comment!

I think smile lines are wonderful. They can certainly be done with a sense of warmth and wisdom.

Her posing is exquisite, I never would have believed a ball-jointed doll could do these poses.

Thank you. I still want to improve on this, but it's all a slow labour of love. Inamorata will soon be 10 years old next year! ❤️

Thank you for all your incredible attention to detail and dedication to the art form. I wonder would it ever be possible for you to do a single tutorial on how to create the hairline that is a bit more close-up for making a wig with a ponytail only a ponytail tutorial no other hairstyle as it’s so easy for the ponytail to end up looking like a helmet or not fit tightly on the head and look natural and you obviously have perfected this technique to make it look as real as possible. I wonder would you be willing to do a tutorial on how to make a ponytail wig thank you so much for all you do and all your incredible passion and dedication!!! And for your stupendously gorgeous Little humans!!! And I love the wrinkles by the way!

Absolutely amazing. I have been working on creating my dolls by hand... I am slowing turning over to 3D Printing and wanting to learn on blender. Trauma breaks the soul 🥹. I love posing as well . Says everything without words. Love how you pose these dolls. It's my goal as well. ❤ Thank you for sharing.

I love the concept of dolls with wrinkles. I would definitely buy one when Japan starts allowing you to ship to the US. 😍

I'm so glad to hear it! The new production won't depend only on the international shipping infrastructure, although that is naturally crucial too, but also on queuing a new casting appointment for the prototypes I've sculpted. I'm just glady caster made it through so far. This pandemic is hard on small businesses. Hopefully I can cast the next generation of Inamorata in 2021.

Thank you so much for your encouraging comment. This doll is one of my all time favourite creations and if there is something good coming out of 2020, its allowing me to keep her for a while as I normally don't get to enjoy my dolls beyond one photoshoot. Its fun, nerve wrecking and sometimes frustrating making these videos. Recording the voice overs is mortifyingly awkward! Lol. Happily my bf does the technical work on the editing, because I'd be rubbish at it!

Emilia Couture It was amazing to see an artist enjoying here creation,we makes fans like me love to see the craft in action.I admire your work and craftsmanship.... and you were totally adorable throughout the video making jokes...BRAVO and keep inspiring!!!!

Awww. Thank you. I think doing the voice over felt so similar to hanging out with friends on Zoom that it feels natural to joke around. Especially towards the end when I got less awkward about it all. I didn't script the thing, just had points for each section, so it's all free association ramblings. Lol. Glad you enjoyed it. :D

That video is Amazing. The poses your doll can do are incredible. I just can't wait to have one ! You may know i'm so impatient for your mature headmold so she will certainly be my first purchase. Again i will say how beautiful your two ooak dolls are. They are pure art and the poetry around their story and meaning is so touching. I cross my fingers for a 2021 release and will be first in line to buy one.

Thank you for the comment and encouragement Teddy. I am so eager to see the three new heads in resin and paint them. I also really love the Kintsugi dolls. Planning to do a photoshoot with them as a pair today if I can get the camera to see them both at once.
